Physician’s Immediate Med

Waited over an hour and they let patients that came in after us in to see the doctor first. Nurse was extremely rude. This practice is very unorganized. Only positive… it’s clean.
They are expensive. Regardless of what you come in for, you will Have to pay $ 125…that’s not included in your treatment, labs, or prescriptions. Even before you go back to see the doctor, it’s $ 125 off top.

This Physicians Immediate Med is better than OK. No appointment needed but it is not necessarily first-​come, first-​serve. The worse you are the longer you may have to wait. They are good for minor trauma and for illnesses that can’t wait days or weeks to get an appointment at your regular doctor.
The wait varies. If you have a head cold and people at coming in homemade bandages to stop bleeding or other serious conditions expect those people to be seen first.
The one thing I don’t like it that they call in the prescriptions and some of the doctors always prescribes the latest medications which are never on my health insurance companies list of approved medications. I don’t understand why this clinic seem to always prescribe high priced brand name medications and the Physician’s Immediate Med in Kennesaw rarely does so for the same problem I have once or twice a year: upper respiratory infections caused by a chest cold made worse by chronic asthma and COPD.
The same medical problem and yet the price difference in medications prescribed can be as high at $ 300. If you think that you need the latest and «greatest» in medications then this is the clinic for you.
I wish I could give them 3.5 stars because the above issue I have with this clinic may have more to do with me being a self-​admitted cheapskate than the performance of clinic itself.

On Sept. 1 I saw Dr. Dingane Baruti at Physician’s Immediate Med for an infected cat bite. The wait wasn’t too bad for a Saturday morning. Dr. B. was very nice and explained the kinds of bacteria that live in a cat’s mouth, and that I needed a tetanus shot and antibiotics. After the nurse, also very nice and friendly, gave me the shot, he massaged the area which he said would help with the soreness. It worked. I’d never had a nurse do that before. I was very pleased with this clinic. I hope I won’t need it’s services again, obviously, but it’s nice to know that a clean clinic with a friendly, professional staff is five minutes away.

I needed some quick attending to and this place was in my network so I went. Most of the time I was seen in less than an hour without any appointments. I went five times until I was better and the staff was very nice. I have nothing to complain about so if you need immediate health care and your regular doctor can’t see you for a couple of days then head over here. It is not for serious trauma so if you get into a car wreck you would need to go to an ER but if you are sick and need to be seen then I would recommend going here. They have x-​rays so it is equivalent to going to a family practitioner.
