I have never been so frustrated with a company in my life. After getting in a car accident I sent my car to Abra to be repaired. They gave me an estimate that it would take 2 weeks to fix. 6 weeks later they had it «fixed». When I went to pick it up the pieces they replaced didn’t even fit properly so they had to «fix» it again. Then a week after getting my car back it showed that my windshield washer fluid was low. Come to find out they«forgot» to put a piece on the car. I returned and they said they would fix it. They stated it would take about 30 min to an hour to fix. I said I would wait. I arrived at 10am. At 1pm I asked what was taking so long and how much longer it would be. They stated that everyone had gone to lunch and it would be a minimum of 30 min assuming they came back from lunch when they were supposed to. They were rude and made getting my car fixed very inconvenient. I would not recommend using Abra.

December. I-20. West of Fort Stockton, TX — which is to state«two-weeks from everywhere». «Thunk!» Whaaaa? No traffic in sight(either direction), no exit in sight, nothing, nada; and I’m pulled from a speed-induced coma by something hitting the windscreen? Yep, a smallish chip dead-centre at the rear-view. Too small to worry about. Too small to notice or remember, until… Hot weather arrives, and the thing begins sending tendrils of shatter, spider-like in all directions. In morbid curiosity I viewed its daily/weekly progress, until the tendrils began sprouting tendrils. Ugh. So, time for a replacement. Wanting a nearby, I chose Abra. Why? Close to the abode, and it’s not bodywork repair. My review relates to their Hixson Pike location, not the location at Hwy153, which I gave an ‘unfavourable’(which was removed?) for amateurish bodywork repair. Anyway, different location; different year; different vehicle, different repair type; and frankly, a totally different repair experience. Face it, I might not know how to pronounce their name, but my installation experience at the Hixson Pike location was very satisfactory. I stopped by, checked availability, got a firm repair quote, made an appointment, and returned at the appointed day & hour. As I waited, I was very impressed at the professionalism that all their employees exhibited, esp the lady who was doing two jobs while her officemate was out for an appointment. The replacement was performed as promised, with OEM glass, and at the agreed upon price! Naturally, repairs of this nature aren’t something one wants do do often, and it’s darn nice to know there’s a «port in the storm» for those occasions when Fate takes a hand in ones life. Now, if I only knew how to pronounce their name.
