S-e-r-i-o-u-s-l-y. Seriously. I think I found the best cupcakes that aren’t my own when I’m too lazy to be bothered to make cupcakes. Of course I don’t live here anymore! This shop is located between Staples/an embroidery shop and Amigo’s on 153, in the same shopping center as Hobby Lobby.(To say it’s in the parking lot is really misleading, because it’s not like a standalone place like Waffle House and McDonalds.) It’s super cute, and it actually has places to sit down which a lot of shops I’ve been to lately in Atlanta are lacking. There’s hardly any room to stand and look at what there is. There are two kinds of cupcakes, ones for $ 2.75 and then premium ones for $ 3.25. Helene, the owner, offered me sample bites of the mint and root beer float cupcakes. One bite was not enough, so I got both of them, along with pink lemonade, and red velvet. The total came to $ 12.02 for the 4, so I guess these are all regular ones. The premium ones are marked, although you can tell which ones are premium because they are even prettier. I got home and looked at them again and declared them too freakin’ cute(in different words I don’t want to repeat really). I decided to try the pink lemonade first. It’s so cute because it has a little lemon wedge and a straw in it! First I tasted the frosting. Hands down some of the best I’ve tasted lately. Not too sweet, doesn’t taste like it’s tinted shortening. The cake was moist, and it had a lemon curd inside. When I had cake, frosting, and the filling, it was so perfect. One of the best cupcakes I’ve had. The red velvet is gorgeous, topped with a couple rose petals. The cake wasn’t my favorite, but it was good. The frosting was easily the best cream cheese frosting I’ve had, complete with vanilla bean. The mint cupcake has mint frosting with a chocolate cake, and is topped with an Andes mint. Even after keeping it in the fridge overnight it was really moist and good. The cupcake: frosting ratio is absolutely perfect. Maybe there’s a bit more frosting than I would like but it’s so good I’ll take more than I usually want! Helene was so nice, like I really wish I still lived here because I would be here all the time. It’s probably for the best I’m not, but I can’t wait to come back. When family birthday season rolls around this November, I’m campaigning for birthday cupcakes from here. But until then, every time I’m back in town I am stopping here. I might be back before I return to Atlanta.

I love the cupcake kitchen! Previously I had been going to a cupcake shop in town where the owner was very cold, the staff felt uneasy and they wouldn’t take payment under $ 15 with a debit card.(Which their visa merchant account would revoke from them if they knew!) so when I walked into this cupcake shop, there was nowhere to go but up. I love all their employees! So warm, friendly and open to conversation! They’re always happy and helpful, their cupcakes are great prices and I love giving them my business. My mother has had almost every single flavour and they’re always making more! They also do food drives and donation(Like Breast cancer research) which is awesome! My mother’s favourites so far are the key Lime Pie and Banana pudding, she also loves the strawberry fields! But they’re always making more so who knows what her favourite will be?
