This place is beautiful. Lots of open space as well as hiking and walking trails. Also has a dog park. I had the opportunity to be in the«house» area and it is cozy. Great meeting space. One of the things I love most about Chattanooga(and the surrounding area) is the beautiful landscape. This embodies all of that. I’ve sat out in chair and had a book club meeting here, I attended the Mud Run here, I’ve gone on walks with my dog here. All wonderful moments.

Oh how my heart aches to walk this particular Greenway again. I have seen that you can rent kayaks, though I have not. This Greenway is well kept and STUNNING year round. My favorite thing to do is to walk down to the rock quarry in Autumn and just gaze at the incredible beauty of all the autumn trees reflected in the water. There are a lot of little offshoot trails that I have yet to explore and it’s the perfect place for biking, walking and jogging. Pet friendly, family friendly. There are wide open green spots where you can fly kites or play catch with your dog. Enjoy, enjoy!

SEIZETHEDAY! This is a large park off the beaten path. It has wide open spaces that are perfect for kite flying, kickball, frisbee flying and other sports. It has paved and unpaved pathways as well as a play area for dogs. The park is 108 acres and runs along a large creek which offers three areas for launching your canoe. the paths are nice for running, walking and biking. The park is a great place to take photos as the views are absolutely stunning! Just be warned, if you have seasonal allergies, this place will seriously challenge you. Take your medicine and your mask or be prepared to SUFFA! This is a great family park where you can let the children run free or to contain them with a family picnic. However, I would not recommend it as a place to ride certain scooters due to the rough terrain. Regardless, you will have a great time, and whatever you do, don’t forget the toys and the camera.

Great bike trails and a nice dog park all by a creek and there’s an old quarry too. Neat place!

Wonderful park and trail. Looks like a great place to let the dog play in the dog park, and the stream looks inviting for canoes. We did some trail walking and running.

Great treasure in the heart of Hixson. It’s a great place to hike or walk your dog. The trails are very easy to moderate depending on your health. We love taking the family there for fresh air.

The one main paved trail and two dirt trails offer something for casual strollers and more experienced hikers. Park near the service gate(Gann Store Rd) away from the dog park(Hamill Rd), and hit the paved trail along the North Chickamauga Creek. The paved trail is a light/medium stroll — some elevation changes but always on widely paved/rocky paths. The overhead view of the former TVA limestone quarry is amazing, and there’s a short side path to the water. From there, its mostly a wooded path(~5X farther than the distance to the quarry) that leads to an anti-climatic parking lot. Don’t bother going beyond that parking lot — there’s nothing else to see besides a cement company. The paved trail has two loops — a lower one along the creek and an upper one, so you can’t get lost. There aren’t any views beyond the quarry, but its always nice to take in the sights and sounds of nature. The unmarked dirt trails are located behind the quarry overlook and further down near the second loop split(Boy Scouts’ trail — look for a big sign). The narrow dirt trails loop further above the paved trails, rising up away from the Creek. They’re medium difficulty for good hikers and a great way to get lost in the woods. There’s also a ropes course hidden along the dirt trail behind the quarry, but using the course requires permits.
