Cornerstone Pets

Great place. Took my foster Great Pyr in the store for some food today, and they were super helpful and kind to us. We got some really good healthy food for him! Nice AC break from our walk, they had water for all the pups. Definitely my go-​to pet store now.

My dog loves when we stop at cornerstone for a snack mid-​way through our walk. They’re dog lovers with a great selection of treats and toys.

The staff was extremely nice and over the top informative. She took about 10 minutes to explain the best diet for my dog. She was not the typical sales person, trying to sell me something. Nice to have someone care about their customers.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. When switching from dry to wet cat food they sent over articles to read to help in the process and answered many questions over the phone. They deliver so it is very convenient, and seem to have lots of high quality cat food choices.

Slightly overpriced. You can get the same dog food in Manhattan for $ 5 less. That means a round trip PATH train on top of dog food in the city practically equals buying your dog food at Cornerstone. With that scenario, you also get to spend some time in NYC. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Great little gem in Hoboken. I found this place while searching for a Scratch Lounge for my cat, and I’m so happy I did! They do a great job displaying a plethora of merchandise for in a small space. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask one of the friendly knowledgeable people working there.

I visited this store over the weekend and did not have a good experience like everyone else. First of all they were not all that friendly or helpful it seemed like I was bothering them when asking for the food I needed. When I found it and went to the cash register I was shocked to say the least. The food was MUCH more expensive. I understand I am supporting the smaller business and paying for convenience and I usually purchase at a chain so I somewhat understood. The woman did not offer to even take off a little bit and made the excuse that they are not a chain. A few minutes later I went to another pet store in Hoboken, which is not a chain, and they were only a $ 1 more than the chain I visit. I understand the small business and supporting them but not when you are being taken advantage of. All she had to do was take a $ 1 or $ 2 off and not made such a lame excuse and I would have understood and she could have gotten my future business. But for being greedy and getting $ 9 more than anywhere else she lost my future purchases for a lot more than just food and word of mouth of my friends and other pet owners.

This is my go-​to pet store in Hoboken. The people who work here are super friendly and they have a large variety of products. They are also so helpful and are very knowledgeable about all pet products.

Awesome store, awesome staff, and my dog LOVES it here. We literally can’t walk near 9^th street without him begging and pulling to go in. Great variety for being such a small shop, and they really do a great job with quality control — you won’t see unhealthy pet snacks/​treats/​food here which is refreshing!

My puppy LOVES Cornerstone! When we go for a walk, if we come within a 2 block radius of Cornerstone, he makes every effort to try to divert our path so we have to go past Cornerstone and stop in… sometimes just for a free treat and to say hello to the staff. They also have a water dish outside and inside to hydrate my pooch. Great selection of top brand dog foods & toys as well as some great varieties of bones that my guy really likes too. The staff is knowlegable and friendly. The one draw back is that the space is pretty small so if there is more than 2 other customers in the store it can get a bit clustered. Other than that… perfect neighborhood pet store.

If I am in a one block radius of this store, it is a given that my dog will pull me here! This store has an especially amazing selection of high end treats. The staff is friendly and helpful. One time, they helped me pick out a harness, adjusted the harness for my puppy, and showed me how to use it. And my dog knows he will always get a lot of treats when we visit!

This is such a great store! Everytime I have a pet need, the staff is unbelievably knowledgable and helpful… When I was looking for a harness, they took 10 minutes to help measure and fit my pup. When I needed an alternative to an e-​collar, they had so many options and personal knowledge to share. I recently had a special request for a puppy food which they didn’t carry. They ordered it in the spot and now stock it. Great neighborhood store with knowledgable staff. Big box stores can’t compete.

I love this store! They’re incredibly friendly and knowledgeable! I don’t stress out about anything that we purchase there, because I know that the research has been done to ensure that Luna is getting toys, treats and food that is healthy and safe. As an added bonus, every time we come in Luna is greeted with treats and belly rubs!

Great store — really helpful employees and not as overpriced as some others in Hoboken. Was able to get some items that I couldn’t find at many other places in Hobo or Jersey City.

Boy, was I buying my scorkie the wrong toys! They sell interactive toys here, specifically the busy buddy (I think, that’s what it’s called!) chew toy/​treat. Instead of giving my pup stuffed animals to tear apart, this chew toy is a way better alternative.
I like their variety of dog accessories, as well. Oh, and I also found the best 2-​in-​1 rosemary and mint Shampoo+Conditiner here!

I love this store. They have everything your pet could need, and if they don’t have your dog’s size (my bulldogs wear XXL!) they will get it for you! They are super knowledgeable about food and pretty much anything in regards to animals. The most important thing is they are always there to answer your questions and make sure you have everything you need!!! My bulldogs and I love this place!!!

My favorite pet store in Hoboken. Extremely friendly staff and a great selection of healthy treats, chews, and harnesses and leashes. Very surprising for a little corner store.

Such a great Place! My Little Josie loved being there to pick out her matching collar and leash! The staff was friendly made it worth the trip from Edgewater!!!

The only dog store I can find that sells halloween costumes! Got my pooch the cutest superdog outfit! Not sure why some of the reviews say that the staff are not warm, my experience with all the staff were wonderful. They were super friendly and nice to my pooch. The store itself is really well stocked, they have all your organic food needs, chew toys for all dog sizes, outfits, cat things (not a cat person), collar, leashes. etc.

Great go-​to pet store. The staff is beyond friendly and very helpful in answering questions about products. Great selection of high quality dog beds (a little pricey, but definitely worth the price).
