Hartshorn Portraiture

I found Hartshorn Portraiture because they were doing a promotion for the shelter I volunteer at, Liberty Humane Society. It says a lot about the integrity and generosity of Hartshorn that they are willing to do this for their local animal shelter.
Mac was present during the shoot with my dog and I, and the portraits were taken by his two adorable girls. They had ideas about poses/​action shots for my dog and Mac was with them for encouragement. I was very impressed by the girls and thought the studio looked great. I recently received 2 prints and am very happy with them. I also worked with Mario to get the prints and he was professional, friendly, and helpful.

Mac and Hartshorn are both incredible. The whole process is seamless and professional. Mac is a true artist and awesome on a personal level, so he is great to work with. He is flexible and energetic and fun.
We came in with our 9-​month old, whom we could never get to smile or sit still for photos, and Mac managed to get dozens of amazing pictures of him smiling broadly in a variety of poses, despite our son uncontrollably crawling all over the place like a wild animal. I barely recognized him in the photos, they were so perfect.
Hartshorn lets you pick convenient weekend hours for shoots, and when we arrived everything was taken care of. Mac welcomed us into the studio, offered us coffees, and let us choose some music to put on. We felt natural and relaxed despite having an infant to wrangle, and the whole process took less than an hour.
Somehow, in that time, Mac managed to get dozens of great prints of us together with our son and of him alone. We have a couple blown up and framed/​mounted and several others in smaller sizes. People compliment them all the time. We also used one for a holiday card.
Hartshorn is absolutely worth every dollar. These are works of art that will last forever and capture incredible moments better than we ever could without the help of a pro like Mac.

Hartshorn Portraiture is as good as it gets for family portraiture. Elegant and beautiful, Mac’s photographs are true keepsakes. SO worth the extra money to get the best quality photos. The whole experience was special and his studio is amazing.
Won’t go anywhere else. It is art.
