Jarets Stuffed Cupcakes

The service was great. Greeted with a smile and extremely pleasant employees. Lots of options which sound delicious and promising however when I tried the Salty Dog and Lemon Bar cupcakes and both left a strong after taste. It tasted like they used a butter substitute which is more cost affective but falls short on taste.

Maybe I’m the only person who thinks this, but these cupcakes taste like the boxed type you can find at any grocery store. I expected much more because of all of the reviews but I was disappointed. I’d suggest you take your $ 3.50, buys box of Betty Crocker cake mix and icing and call it a day. I wanted to love these cupcakes so badly and I think the idea is phenomenal, but the taste is sadly nothing special.

I haven’t been to this bakery but someone brought a whole bunch of these cupcakes into my office and I devoured the Tres Leches and Coconut cupcake!
I am the biggest gourmet cupcake snob… and have yet to be pleased with any of the cupcake bakeries in Manahattan… Sprinkles, Georgetown, Two Little Red Hens, Empire Cakes, Sugar Butter Lane, Billy’s Bakery, Sweet Buttons, Molly’s, Baked By Melissa (really bad)… don’t compare at all! Jarets Stuffed Cupcakes are TO DIE FOR!!!
Once I had the light whipped cream frosting in my mouth and then had a bite of the moist cake with stuffed filling. I was in heaven!!! My boss said the same thing — she couldn’t stop talking about how light the frosting was!
I definitely appreciate a bakery that has unique cupcakes and original recipes! Check out their website for all their different cupcakes!
I guess I’ll be hauling ass to Hoboken to satisfy my sweet tooth! However, on their website they note that they are in some NYC cafes! — Café Angelique, News Bar Café, Tanuki Tavern to name a few spots.
These cupcakes are so good that would definitely have a chance in winning Cupcake Wars!

I haven’t had too many «stuffed» cupcakes, so this was a bit of a new experience for me.
I opted for the traditional red velvet, which was stuffed with vanilla mousse, and topped with cream cheese icing. Delicious cupcake, but it definitely aired on the «too sweet» side of things with the mousse. Balanced in terms of icing, cake, and mousse filling proportions, though.
They have 2 other retail locations in NJ and one more in Upstate NY. I’ll be back to try some more flavors soon.

Ordered a variety of cupcakes for delivery tonight and my wife and I were both very satisfied with every flavor save for one (Cannoli). I particularly enjoyed the Black & White and Dirty Blonde flavors. Cupcakes were surprisingly light and not overly sweet like other cupcake spots. The various fillings were also amazingly delicious (the chocolate custard was really good).
The only con is that the delivery fee on Seamless was comparatively high, but I’m not going to deduct a star since that’s irrelevant to the quality of the cupcakes. Plus, the cupcakes were delivered super fast, so I feel like I got my money’s worth for the delivery fee.
I’m definitely going to order from here again to try the other flavors.

Cupcakes are so moist and delicious. We had the Chocolate Overload, the Half Moon Cupcake, Tres Leches and Banana Crème.
The lady who delivered the cupcakes was kind enough to assume we had a dog and tossed in a doggie cup cake as well. Our dog liked it of course.
