This past summer, I played in a weekly kickball league that took place at Mama Johnson field. The facility is large and spacious, and there was enough room for a couple of kickball games to take place at the same time. Although the field was well-kept and ideal for kickball conditions, it’s the location that really knocks off a few stars. This field is in the middle of a not-so-hot section of Hoboken. Without getting into too much detail, one of our games was cancelled last summer because a knife was thrown on to the field. Because of that experience I probably wouldn’t come back to play kickball again!
