Came here last weekend for a friend’s birthday and it was great. It was an absolutely perfect summer day, so I expected them to be mobbed to the point of discomfort, but it wasn’t like that. They were definitely crowded but they have ample seating and the bar/bathroom lines move very quickly. They had 4 – 5 food trucks parked out front such as lobster rolls, po’boys, frozen bananas, and empanadas. The drinks are on the pricier side, but it’s Hoboken… think $ 9 for a draft beer, $ 10 – 11 for a cocktail. Also, they are cash only on weekends only(kinda sketchy) and have an ATM there with a $ 5 surcharge. We arrived around 2 and left around 6, which is probably when it’s at peak crowdedness. Obviously the view is amazing. Come early if you want to grab chairs or bring a blanket to sit on just in case. Sunscreen is a must, there is noooo shade on the lawn, unless you’re going to sit on the picnic benches under an umbrella. Looking forward to coming back.

The vibe and the views of this place are awesome. My friends and I didn’t get the chance of visiting the bars in the back but I definitely must try and come back to check that out. But having food trucks in this location, with that view, next to a bar is brilliant. It’s the perfect stop after getting drunk. We came an hour or two before close, so some of the trucks were running out of stuff already but that’s expected. But they definitely seem to have a variety of food here: Mac n cheese, empanadas, po boys, falafel, ice cream sandwiches and more! We tried the beef and chicken empanadas since they were the only two left and they were just ok. As for the ice cream sandwiches, they were pretty on point! Fruit pebble cereal cookie + cookies and cream ice cream, yum! Coming back here again soon early afternoon to check the area out a bit better so will be updating this review!

I love this place. I’ve been to Pier 13 twice now, and can’t wait to go back. The view is amazing and there’s a great atmosphere/vibe. It’s about a 10⁄15 minute walk from the PATH, so it’s easily accessible from Manhattan. There’s a range of people here, mostly 20/30-somethings — some with their kids, some with dogs(you can bring your dog on the pier and there’s a small fenced in area for dogs in the front), and lots of people just hanging out with friends. It also seems like a great date spot. They offer a variety of drinks at the bar — lots of beer options, rum punches, and even some champagne cocktails. My favorite is the red sangria. It’s delicious, although it’s quite strong! You can order some of the cocktails or the sangria in pitchers, as well. Prices are about what you’d expect(beers are $ 7-$ 9, sangria is $ 11). After Labor Day all drinks are half-off, so I’d definitely recommend checking this place out in September! If you’re hungry, you can grab food from one of the many food trucks by the pier. I hope to try a few of them next time. I’d recommend that everyone check this place out — it’s the perfect outdoor spot on a sunny day!

Overpriced beers, Cash only, convenient that there is a $ 5 surcharge ATM right next to the bar truck. Staff is rude.

Came here to celebrate a birthday with some social drinks. The combination of afternoon sun and P13R Pressure shirt clad staff telling us not to group up while trying to take a pictures didn’t make this feel like a spot where we could just relax and have a good time. Moved the celebration to a nearby bar instead.

Would be 5 stars but there was a huge crowd, had to sit in front of the food trucks instead of the pier area. Not that bad tho, got to see more people streaming by. They have games to play as well, like checkers, jenga. Dogs were around too, kind of fun. Drinks were a little pricey, $ 8 dogfish, par for the course really. Would go back, not sure when it’s not crowded though

This place is amazing, the atmosphere and vibe is super dope, and the views are pretty amazing too. The beer selection is decent. Always super packed so get there early. One of my fave places to go in the summer.

I dig it. I like that there was no cover, which I was expecting to have to pay. I like that there’s three different spots to get booze, only two of which were open when I was there. And I’m a fan of the five or so food trucks lined up out front. Unlike Surf City in Jersey City, you’re not forced to have to buy frozen, bland, overpriced food. The food trucks give you both a variety and much better quality at a comparable or lower cost. You also get better views of the city here, not to knock the distant view of Lady Liberty at Surf City. Only three things left me annoyed: 1) The restroom attendant. Seriously? Look where you are. And if you’re going to hire one, at least make him wear a tie. I couldn’t tell if he was an employee or some bum off the street looking to make a few extra bucks. 2) The insistence on the bouncer closest to the end of the pier that people not stand within 10 feet of the railing. This must be because people walking the 100+ yards from the entrance to the end of the pier stand a lesser chance of going overboard than they do toward the end of the pier, where the railing maintains the same height all around the dock. Duh. 3) The prices. $ 7 for a 12 oz. can of beer and $ 9 for a 16 oz. draft. Mixed drinks are a week’s salary. These people must be as high as the prices, but as a season business, I get why they are. Parking is impossible, as to be expected, but that’s Hoboken for you. If you’re coming from the City, you’re better off swimming across the Hudson, or taking the ferry.

Does anyone else think this is so rude, white trash and one of the reasons why people from Jersey have a bad name? The really cool«owner» of Pier 13 made my friends and I move from our table MID-MEAL(food literally in our hands) so he and his friends could take our table(was not marked in any way as reserved and we had been sitting there about an hour at least). I think this is so trashy I really wanted to spread the word! To the owner: ur a dick and really no educated, intelligent women will ever date you when you have no manners. Thanks :)

It’s really nice to come here if the weather is on your side. It’s a pier so yes expect to be outdoors. So dress accordingly even though there is no strict dress code. When you enter the slip there is a small line of food trucks. Not always the same ones but you will find something of interest to try. Most of the trucks take credit cards now but I always advise that it’s better to take cash. If you want to head to the back section where the liquor is sold you wait in line, get ID and then a wristband. You can leave and enter with this for the day. In the bar areas most beers are on tap or canned, liquor you can get champagne, wine, cocktails, specialty drinks etc. Prices range from about $ 8 and up. You can get them in these cute pier 13 beach ball bottles too. But using a card, there is a minimum you need to spend. You can get a bucket as well. Think bottle service in a club lol they literally give you bottles of juices or sangria(not sure what exactly) to share that costs about $ 100. Seating can be difficult to find though but you do get a great view, and there are a few assorted board games.

Pier 13 is arguable one of my favorite places in Hoboken. I love the vibe and views here — on a nice day of course. It’s such a cool and laid back place. It’s kids and dog friendly only up to a certain area. There’s benches and lounge chairs. You can bring your own blanket which I do recommend. I’ve brought cards and games to play here with friends. The only cons I do have is that it can get super packed and it’s a cash only place. Aahhhhh who carries cash anymore and who wants to run to the bank every so often. Anyway, there’s quite a few eclectic food trucks literally a step outside of pier 13 for snacking. You’re able to bring the food inside pier 13 which is a plus. Definitely try the taco truck and the pizza truck. So good!

Myself and a friend stumbled across this place by mistake. We went for a walk down the pier on a nice sunny day and saw lots of people here. It’s a cool little beer garden which sticks out into the Hudson River with a wonderful view of Manhattan! We said we’d stay for one drink but ended up staying until sun down, about 4 hours! Unilocal says it’s temporary closed but I talked to one of the employees there and he said they’re starting to open now on hot days. Just so you know! I was instantly impressed with the place from the start. On the way up to the beer garden, there are food trucks with all different types of food, from Italian, Thai, Chinese and more! All for reasonable prices! When we got to the entrance to the beer garden, you are greeted by welcoming employees who give you a wristband so you can go in and out as you please. The beer garden itself is awesome. Not massive by any means but lots of different kind of seats; picnic benches, recliner chairs, tall«lifeguard» seats(which provide a great photo opportunity). Artificial grass is used for the garden itself which I think is nice too. The view… What can I say? You are basically out on the river itself and have a great view of Midtown, Empire State Building and also Downtown and the World trade Center at a distance. With the weather we had, it was incredible. The drinks available are good. They have different types of sangria and cocktails by the glass and pitcher. Can’t remember(I will update when I go back) but I think the sangria is $ 11 by the glass and maybe $ 35 for a pitcher. My friend had a peach flavor drink and it was really refreshing. Expensive but worth it. They have various beers on draft and cans. I had a mango flavoured IPA which I stuck with for the day. $ 8 a pint. I’d recommend it for sure! For food, you are allowed bring the food from the trucks into the garden which is a huge bonus. I got a nicely sized pepperoni pizza for $ 10. It was made in less than five minutes and tasted great! I’m planning to try the Thai place next. I saw people eating that and it looked very appealing! Overall, I will definitely return here on another hot sunny day. From what I gathered from talking to people there, it does get very packed in the summer so that is worth noting. I would definitely recommend this place though. Great drinks, nice inexpensive food nearby and unparalleled views! Try it out before everyone starts going here!

Now that the warmer days are upon us, this place in North Hoboken is quite a little treat. It’s a pier turned into a daytime bar scene, with loads of beers to try, sangria and wine, also available. If you arrive early enough you’ll land a lounge chair with sun blazing and you’ll feel the breeze of the water alongside this pier, while watching boats go by as you sip on your drink of choice. If you get hangry, you can snatch a meal at one of the local food trucks parked just outside the entrance to this pier, to satisfy your craving. Depending on the day/evening you will catch a band playing some tunes, and that just makes it all much better while you catch up with friends. If you’re in the neighborhood, definitely check it out.

Ok, I will review this place now, but I’m coming back this Friday and that is when i will be able to give it another review. Me and my friends stumbled upon this spot a few weeks back and feel in love. The neighbors, the dogs, and people walking around were my favorite. The atmosphere with that end of the evening vibe that really set the tone. I wasn’t TOO hungry, but of coarse I love food, therefore I had to have something. We got empanadas and a cuban sandwich. I wasn’t took much of a HUGE fan of the cuban sand. I guess I haven’t been able to get ones like i had in Miami after I would drink or go out and lay on the beach. I loved them to death, but it was ideal. I loved the empanda flavors. NOT greasy, not soggy, and good flavors(veggies and spices). I enjoyed most of the bites I took. i enjoyed most of the evening just people watching. Great views, scenery, looking at the happy people and families, soaking up the the great vibes and smells of the food. overall i was happy with everything that was going on.

With summer fading fast, we visited Pier 13 one balmy evening again last week and I think we timed it right — there was a nice band playing, and toddlers and strollers were scarce. I can see this place being magical during such moments — the waves lashing across the pier, the Freedom Tower looming over from one end and mid-town Manhattan on the other, it is indeed beautiful. Pros: Unique experience to laze around on the lounge chairs and enjoy a bite Range of food trucks from where you can grab a bite and head to the inner section Now for the cons: Cash only — ATM inside, but a $ 5 surcharge(that stinks**) Overpriced drinks($ 8 – 12)

Pier 13 is one of the rare places in Hoboken that fully captures the incredible views of the city — it also gives you food trucks(Luke’s Lobster, Amanda’s Bananas, and others — food truck options also rotate), an excuse to day drink with the full bars and specials on buckets, and a prime area for people watching(wear sunglasses — they’re not just eye protection, but also side eye protection). Seats are first come, first serve and also involve a bit of vulturing and swooping in and to ask if all chairs are being used by a seated group, then slowly building your arsenal of stolen chairs so that you and your friends can have an option to not sit on the fake grass or lean against the railing. There’s no rhyme or reason to when it gets crowded — I’ve gone on a Saturday at 6PM and the place is packed, and on a different week on a Friday at 8PM and it’s empty — it really depends, which also adds to the potential of long lines for drinks, food, and restrooms. Overall it’s a fun place to be — drink prices vary(I’ve always gotten the sangria for $ 11/glass — both white and red are delicious), but they have canned and draft beers as well, with beer specials at $ 4(yesterday it was Sixpoint, it rotates). It does close at 10PM, so be prepared to come early, leave early with a good buzz, or head to another location. Worth the hype, you really can’t beat lounging in the sun with cold drinks and gorgeous skyline views.

Such a chill spot somewhat hidden in hoboken. Nice views, plenty of chairs and tables and bean bags to sit down at. Some tables even have games to play! Music is blasting! Drinks are not cheap. sometimes they have beers as a deal for $ 4, other wise youre gonna spend at least $ 7 on something and all the way up to about $ 14. They even do bottle service which is interesting… Dogs are allowed and they even have movie nights sometimes. They have about 5 diff food trucks along the walk into it. parking sucks so good luck, but best bet is to park by the skate park on frank sinatra drive and take a short walk. As you enter the pier 113, make sure to stop at the small doggy park. its adorable and funny to watch these lil guys

I think I’ve finally had it with Pier 13. This place is truly a love/hate relationship. They now seem to have gone to a «cash only» system. You can smell the tax fraud from across the river. Their drinks are grossly overpriced and the amount of cash you’d need to have a good time is staggering. The ATM has a $ 5 service charge. I’ve been on cruise ships with a lesser charge. Luckily there is a wells fargo right around the corner. The views are great, the concept is amazing. I love the food trucks and sitting down to relax, but their execution has just slipped so poorly as of late. The employees could give 2 shits about the customers. On an empty chilly Thursday night my friend and I had to move so the owner’s friends could have our table. There was 2 empty tables behind us, why make paying customers move? Hell, offer to buy me a beer or something. Seems this has happened to others too. The crowds have become obscene. Getting packed in their like sardines isn’t fun. The kid situation is out of control. I would say 90% of the parents there should be reported to DYFS. The amount of people getting so over served they can’t stand is ridiculous. Last time we were there 2 ambulances were on standby. what does that tell you? The bros and OMG girls have really taken over. It’s so crowded you really just can’t sit back and enjoy without a guy in a neon tank top falling on you. I don’t care about people drinking it up but they really need to get it under control and the bouncers should really do their job. But I just have a feeling most employees are just the owners buddies. On the rare occasion you can get in when it’s not packed to the brim it can be a good time with friends or family. But most times it’s a fraternity party(and this is coming from a frat guy) of recent college grads. Will I still come here, unfortunately I probably will because you just can’t beat the concept. On a weekend though, probably not a chance.
