The FIT Lab is a small personal training gym towards the back of town. If you live in Hoboken, you already know that this gym, like everything in town, is easy to get to. If you don’t, it’s only a 10 minute walk from Hoboken Terminal and that’s a good way to start warming up before your session. The gym is very clean and Greg is always quick to wipe down equipment after each use. Sessions started off one on one and moved into small group(usually just 2 people) after a month or so. He takes care to ensure you can keep up with the group before throwing you into something new. The atmosphere is friendly and Greg is easy to get along with. Definitely a more effective environment than the big gyms in town. I’ve been working twice per week with Greg since November of 2014 and couldn’t be happier. He began with a one on one consultation and created a workout that was tailored towards my individual needs. If you’re a total amateur(like I was), don’t hesitate or feel like this is over your head. It’s the most effective way to get a jumpstart on your health. The workouts are designed around personal goals as well as overall strength and core training. Greg also gives special attention to any injuries you may have, designing a workout that will not exacerbate the problem, but instead work to strengthen and avoid future injury. Throughout the hour-long session he will demonstrate the proper way to execute each move, describe which muscles are being used, and why. If you’re doing something wrong, he will stop you and take the time to ensure you’re doing it properly. He values his clients’ time and wants to get to the most out of each individual. Always encouraging, never demoralizing. In addition to the workouts, Greg offers valuable advice on diet and nutrition and will happily lead you down the proper path for clean eating. He has also taken the time to help build effective workouts outside of his gym. Scheduling is easy and he is quick to respond to emails. Whether you’re looking to finally start getting healthy, or you need a supplement to your normal training routines, you will definitely not be disappointed with The FIT Lab and Greg.

I started working with Greg at The Fit Lab four months ago to help me get ready for the NYC Marathon. This was the single best fitness decision I’ve ever made. While Greg did not act as my running coach, he made sure that training was focused on my goal and went above and beyond to give focused nutritional and conditioning advice. Not only are the workouts challenging but the environment is great and I look forward to every session. When I started, I looked at it as a way to get the cross training I would need to get through the race. Now that I accomplished the marathon, I’ve decided to increase my weekly workouts with Greg and work on new strength goals. If you’re looking for a personal trainer who is going to truly care about your goals and health in an awesome environment, this is the place.

Great private training gym that has all of the equipment that you need. Very clean and all of the equipment is in excellent shape. I have been working out with trainer Cody there for the last year and would highly recommend both The Fit Lab and Cody. Cody is extremely knowledgeable about both fitness and nutrition and will push you to your limits in every session. I’ve never done the same workout twice with him. I have lived in Hoboken for over 5 years and have been a member of all the large gyms — NYSC(Uptown & Downtown), Planet Fitness, Club H, Crunch — however, I was tired of these crowded gyms with pushy salespeople. I realized I needed private sessions with a Personal Trainer to motivate me and help me achieve my fitness goals. I recently started training with Cody at the FIT Lab and I absolutely love it here. Being able to train in a private setting at a reasonable price was something I didn’t even know existed in Hoboken before I found the FIT Lab. This place may be small, but has all the equipment you need in an extremely clean and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend Cody and the FIT Lab to anyone who is tired of making excuses and ready to commit to a healthy lifestyle!

Small gym, very clean and private, reasonably priced. It’s as good as it gets! Add a knowledgable trainer for personal sessions, and you can’t go wrong. You’ll experience always changing and customized training sessions that go to your current limits. But it’s never too much, just the right amount for maximum results. Highly recommended.
