Walgreens

Came here on New Year’s Day to get some Exedrin and Pedialyte I WONDER WHY. Not for me, of course. Can’t get over how friendly people were here working on the holiday. Great service! Also, how and why do pharmacies buy these beautiful, old, pillored bank buildings? Answer me.

I wouldn’t normally review a Walgreen’s unless I have something to bitch about. But this Walgreens was different.
This Walgreens is huge! It is a giant former bank. All stone, marble and pillars. Not your everyday Walgreens. I’ll attach some pictures.
Would I go back? Who the hell doesn’t go to Walgreens? Again, stop asking myself stupid questions!

Certainly the prettiest pharmacy I’ve ever been in. What a stunning building, especially inside!
Due the the size it has a good selection inside, but frankly I can’t get over the internal architecture. Certainly a lot nicer than a more modern store.

It’s possible that I actually prefer this pharmacy to the CVS in Hoboken. Somehow CVS runs out of any prescription I ever need yet one block away there is this Walgreens which has never turned me away and always has my medication. They’re just a tad slow but for now I have switched — oh and I never need my wallet because they accept apple pay :)

Always great service. This store is actually cleaner than cvs and they have parking which the cvs does not.

Love this Walgreens! First, excellent and kind and knowledgeable pharmacists!!! The best I have ever met! Thank you!!! Second, the interior is gorgeous, could be suitable for a wedding as it is a renovated old school trust. Great service, very convenient location, and better prices than at CVS.

I haven’t dealt with the CVS two blocks away so I can’t compare but overall I have to say I like this Walgreens. I send my prescriptions here and occasionally stop in for some everyday items. Their prices are reasonable and there is usually a sale going on for one of the items I’m purchasing. The people at the pharmacy are very friendly and nice and have even worked with me when my doctor was messing up calling in prescriptions. They made the effort to contact my doctor and get the issue resolved. Their text and call message alerts for pick up are very good but I have to say they do tend to stalk you with automated messages if you don’t pick your prescription up as scheduled.
On a side note, if you’re looking to get pictures developed they come out very nice! I actually prefer them to Costco which is where I used to get my photos developed. HINT sign up for the email and wait for the coupon for photo prints! There’s ALWAYS a coupon! Lol

It’s a head to head battle of chain pharmacies in Hoboken: Walgreens v CVS…
Tight quarters at the Hoboken Walgreens. So, my vote still lies with the spacious Hoboken CVS, but this spot is definitely solid. They pack it in tight, lots of product, but again slightly overpriced for convenience factors and I’d hate to see this spot busy. Yowza.
Overall, a solid Walgreens conveniently located on Washington Street, but nothing impressive and/​or personal.

I just had an amazing service at their pharmasy. Unfortunately I didnt get the man’s name but whoever worked 03÷06÷14 morning was awesome and deserves all 5 stars. Plus the building is beautiful.

Interesting. For being so big on the outside, the inside is cramped. Stately building, the inside is clean and employees are friendly enough, but not overly. Bathroom is at the back of aisle 7, take the elevator to the 2^nd floor.

The contents of Walgreens doesn’t change very much from coast to coast, and this one seemed kind of small when I stopped in… in fact I didn’t come across a single employee while inside.
The interior of this bank building has been restored very nicely, with the original chandelier’s etc. so it’s worth a visit, just for that… otherwise, grab some toothpaste, if you’re so inclined.

I would go here over CVS any day. The Walgreens is in a beautiful building with a great interior. They have a great selection of items and I always find what I’m looking for.

Very cool building as others have mentioned, but given the grand appearance on the outside, the interior of the store is actually kind of small. The CVS just a block away definitely carries more stuff, but the Balance Rewards program shared by Walgreens and Duane Reade keeps me coming back here anyway. I’m not sure ultimately what I’ll get out of this rewards program, but I’m excited to find out! I do like that the rewards card is available with Passport on the iPhone, so no having to carry around one of those cards on my keychain which is so 2009.
One other thing to add about this store is that they normally only have a maximum of two registers open, so if it’s crowded in the store, expect it to take a while to get checked out.

My go-​to drug store

I had to give it 3 stars because all I wanted when I came in was the restroom, and they didn’t give me a hard time. This place could be tourist attraction because the building interior is still beautiful. To get to the restroom you have to go to the elevator in the back of the store, and you can peek through the windows to see what a magnificent bank it must have been years ago.

People working there had big time trouble finding my poster order. Gave them my last name, phone number and order number, struggle for few minutes and told me that the order is ready in hour. Really? If so how come I got an email that said the order was ready to pick up? Ask them to try harder and they finally found it.
Don’t lie, people. Instead, try harder.

Nice selection, and the people who work here couldn’t be nicer.

Walgreens is located at the former TD bank building. It may be one of the most attractive drugstores in the world. The magnificent interior and friendly staff make it simply irresistible.
It’s open 24 hours, but the store is very small and it lacks many items. For instance, they have limited selection of vitamins & supplements compared to CVS that’s only a couple blocks away. They don’t have everything in stock from the sales flyer either.
