Friendly’s

Poor Food Quality, Poor Service, Low on portion size. Would not recommend, seems to have dropped in quality & value. Sent plate back because I thought they gave me someone else’s meal. Said it was but did not resemble description without close scrutiny. Had to request missing ingridients. Service poor and seemed indifferent. Reason for issues… busy and best cooks not on tonight. Best ones not on, so who was back there???

My wife’s favorite restaurant because of her fond memories from her childhood is Friendlys. Unfortunately, tonight was not a reflection of her memory. We visited Friendlys in Hockessin this Sunday evening at 7pm and was greeted rather quickly and seated. I was very surprised to see 3 employees sitting in booths near the hostess stand and 3 other congregated behind the ice cream counter having informal discussions. We knew who our waiter was due to his poor performance earlier in the week but attributed it to his short tenure and busy environment. Tonight, that wasn’t the excuse because there were only 3 tables of which he had zero. We waited for over 5 minutes never to be greeted and even offered a beverage order. As a result, we got up to depart with my wife sharing we will be leaving as a result of the lack of attention. No accountability accepted by the manager who we learned sat us and an informal «sorry» by the waiter.

Not sure the manager on duty but it definitely wasn’t Aaron who is a rockstar!!! Only go back when he is leading the mediocre staff!

My friends and I come here often and really like it. We think the food is good and and the $ 5.00 for a hamburger is great. Never had a problem with the staff they were always nice.

What happened to Friendlys? This place is like walking into a morgue. The employees just stare at you, no greeting, you’re just standing there in the entrance as if you intruded a private party. The opposite of friendly. Employees scowling. Really couldn’t believe it

All around horrendous. I could have been hallucinating but I think I saw a mouse run under the door. I wouldn’t be surprised– this place is FILTHY

Stop in here about every couple weeks for a quick salad for dinner. The wait staff has always been polite. Quick service. Sure beats cooking. I’ve never had a bad experience here.

Its friendlys ur not supposed to expect great food but this place is just bad. You see all the happy kids walking in and you see the Friendly workers smoking cigaretes on the side of the restraunt why don’t they do it in back and hide?

First time here was our last time. Ordered the All American Hamburger and it was horrible. The meat was processed and very greasy in a gross way. It reminded me of the cheap, frozen patties I’d pop into the toaster oven in my college days. Not at all worth $ 8! (If you want a crappy burger you can get it at McDonalds for half the price!). Fries were overcooked and more brown than yellow. The kids meal was a bit better — chicken tenders were good. Ice cream was okay, nothing special that you can’t find in other restaurants. The service was less than average. Our server kept trying to rush us after giving us the check (we were still eating and it was no where near closing time). On our way out, we mentioned to the manager what we thought about the burgers and he was indifferent. They couldn’t care less. Never going back!
