Have you checked out the Little Steamers yet?! It’s the 3rd Saturday of every month and it’s free, well donations are appreciated. Really one of the coolest things to do in Houston. I was so excited when I found out about this and we took our 3 year old here. Things to know: yes, it does get very busy and you’re in the hot son so make sure to bring plenty of water and a snack. I recommend getting here right at 9:00am when they open to avoid the long lines and that way you could try to sneak in two train rides. A very well thought out train track and the trains(which you sit on) are so cute. Couldn’t be more excited to have discovered this place.

Cool place to workout if you’re bored of the gym. You can run but they also have workout stations. Like pull up bars dip bars and a lot more

Today I went to Zube Park to the ride the little steamers. The 3rd Saturday of every month is open to the public for free rides. The wait was not to bad. They had about 4 engines on the go at the same time. My husband said it was good for Free and my 2 year old son seemed to enjoy him self. Rides are free, and they sell hats, tshirts, etc., and take donations. Will be back later this year as it was hot and we all know its only going to get hotter.

So this is a small park, with basic amenities. But this review is more of the Northwest cycling club that meets here every saturday morning at 730 am for rides. The rides vary from 8 miles up to 60+ miles. They have designated paths and they depart by speed groups. There is even a beginner’s group that is no drop, meaning they will have someone in the front and the back to make sure you don’t get lost and help you if you have a flat. These people are awesome! And what’s better is they are FREE! It’s a long drive but you must leave the city to find roads you can ride on. Would be 5 stars but the people who live around here aren’t always the nicest.
