Chicago Marriott Northwest

This hotel is very nice, one of the nicest 3 – 4 star Marriotts out there!
Make sure to book in advance because it sells fast.
Plenty of restaurants around and a mile from Cabella’s :)

Pros:
Excellent customer service… I couldn’t get my key cards to work, so Molly walked back with me to my room from the front desk to ensure I didn’t have any further issues after the cards were reactivated. The hotel was very clean. The bed was comfortable.
Con:
The shower head could be upgraded.

My fiancé and I met with Chris to look at the Marriott for a wedding reception. They are unique from the hotels we visited in that we would be the only wedding held there. a hospitality room for the bridal party was also included. We did not book our reception there (we wanted a different look), but we were very impressed with Chris. He was very attentive but not pushy, and seemed to care very much about what we wanted as a couple. He was great to meet with, so for anyone looking for a hotel for their reception, do check out this hotel.

We immediately booked this hotel for a room block after meeting with their sales and catering manager, Gina Engler. She is amazing! Their room block is user-​friendly and flexible. We were able to add a few extra rooms for our last-​minute booking guests.
The location is convenient, right off of I-​90 and very near many bars, restaurants, salons, shops, movies, and bowling in the Hoffman Estates/​Barrington area. It was 15 minutes from our wedding venue.
It’s a gorgeous hotel. The pool/​workout room is very nice. They have a good breakfast buffet.
The hotel contracts with a shuttle to transport our guests to the wedding. They were AWESOME! They added an extra shuttle at the end of the wedding, since so many guests stayed until the end.
The temperature and blinds in the rooms were a bit off. The sun would wake us up at 4 a.m., and we couldn’t figure out the blinds to close them all the way. However, I may’ve slept more soundly if it hadn’t been my wedding weekend and I wasn’t full of adrenaline.
The only minor disappointment was that when we booked our block, we were told that the bar would be open until 1 a.m., for any guests who wanted an after-​party. We found out during the wedding weekend that it was closing at 10 p.m. due to the hotel being quiet during a holiday weekend. So we were not able to have an after-​party, but the staff were very pleasant and allowed our guests to mingle in the atrium.

I checked out this property midweek — it’s a solid Marriott:
–Great Connection speed in the room: 2.41 down/2.78up
–Good fitness center by Hilton standards, great by Marriott standards
–The service overall is excellent
–The spread at the concierge lounge is exceptional compared to what I’ve seen at other Marriotts
–It’s in the middle of nowhere, so keep in mind nothing is walking distance (there is a Ruth Chris a short drive away)

Loved this hotel! Very nice, very clean, courteous staff, spacious rooms, conveniently located. Two malls nearby (less than 5 minutes) and directly off the expressway. It has an onsite restaurant which had a very good breakfast buffet. Will definitely visit again.

I picked this hotel based on location, I wanted to near my company’s office, but also near Schaumburg. I made an excellent choice. Located right off I-​90, this hotel is so clean and beautiful. I felt completely safe staying here, something that is very important to me when I travel. And the staff here is very friendly and hospitable. I am a fan of this Marriott hotel.

This hotel can be seen from a distance, off the highway and off of Barrington Rd. But don’t be fooled by what you see. This hotel is actually a far way off and you’ll definitely be doing a lot of driving on the inner roads before you actually reach this hotel. But once you make your way there, you will definitely be impressed with the décor and upkeep of this hotel. They have a beautiful fountain and lots of greenery in the lobby of the hotel. And the service and staff here are excellent. All the rooms are clean and well-​kept. There really isn’t much to do in the surrounding area — but this hotel offers a lot to keep you busy — an indoor pool, a fitness room, and internet!
