McKeigue Jacqueline DO

I had a great experience with the office’s nurse practitioner Kim when I was sick and couldn’t yet get into Dr. McKeigue.
But my first visit with Dr. McKeigue, after more than a month wait despite being told she was accepting new patients, was a very disappointing experience.
The nurse was chipper and kind, then she put me in an examination room. I waited over an hour in that room without so much as a «she’s running behind» or «are you OK» or anything.
Nothing.
When I was finally graced with the doctor’s presence one hour and 10 minutes after my arrival, she entered without acknowledging that she was late. I thought, she better be a darn good doctor.
I wasn’t impressed. In fact, I thought she was a little bit rude. She talked more about herself during our visit than she did about me or any of my medical concerns.
Maybe the longtime patients get priority, but I had very bad luck. I based my choice for her on reviews I found on the Internet, so that was disappointing.
It’s time for a new search.

You CANNOT find a better doctor than Dr. McKeigue.
I have been seeing her since I was about 10 years old, and she is so wonderful that we followed her from place to place as she moved practices (but she seems to have settled in with this one for the last few years, so I think she is settled).
The reason why we followed her around for years: she’s the best. She is kind, knowledgable, and I have never ONCE felt rushed. She is a wonderful person, a caring doctor, and my entire family goes to her. And I later on found out that my in-​laws have for years as well!
Her nurses are very good as well! Nothing but professional and friendly!
The only downside is that the wait time can be a little excessive. But that’s because she spends so much time with each patient, so it’s totally worth it. You may be annoyed as you’re waiting, but you will soon discover that she spends just as much time with you as she does with anyone else.
Her office is out of one of the doctor’s buildings at St. Alexius Medical Center off of Barrington Road.

I will second everything that Jennifer B. has to say! I drive out to see her even though I’m not in the area anymore.

The best! She is smart, caring and has a good bedside manner to top it all off.
