I have only been there once, and I don’t feel the need to go back. It’s not a very welcoming atmosphere. It’s actually quite dirty. The food was average to bland, and the menu was exactly what you would expect at a dirty roadside diner in a college town.

I’ve been coming here for years & the old has been consistently yummy & fair priced. The omelettes are my favourite with French toast a close second. Best place to eat outside mom’s!

Delicious breakfast! I came here without planning and I am glad we did. Their potatoes were delicious, price was excellent and the service super friendly and quick. YESGOHERE. I am sure Plymouth State keeps them in business!

There’s nothing like drinking and pulling an all-nighter and having Annie’s for breakfast. The takeout is also faster than I expected.

Have eaten there many times in the last 4 years. It is a local gem. The food is always top notch and plentiful. Their eggs benedict variations are always a great option. Don’t go there expecting anything fancy. It is home-style cooking served simply. The wait staff work hard to keep everything moving. It gets very busy and there is often a short wait, but don’t let a short line deter you. It moves fast. Keep that in mind, and don’t hang out and read a paper when it is busy. Give up you table when you are done. I might be in line waiting ;-)! Enjoy!

A fantastic diner, be prepared to see college kids nursing a hangover but the food is good and the price is right!

Stopped here on our way out of town after a week long vacation. First thing I noticed was all the NH plates in the lot… a good sign. Patrons were very friendly and the place felt like it was a well-worn, popular New England restaurant. The food took a while but was worth the wait. If we ever vacation in the area again we will be sure to come back.

Cleaned the place up a lot since being in there last. Very nice wait staff who all split up the work load waiting on different tables. Very bubbly people so be ready. Place gets busy after 10 or 11 but the line usually moves quickly because of all the tables. Have only had breakfast, great eggs, home fries, sausage, and bacon! $ 20 for 2 people can’t go wrong with the value. Can’t wait to return to Annie’s!

I’m still undecided of how I should rate this place. If you are coming from say, New York City, this might be something out of a movie. However for someone who is growing up in New Hampshire this might be what they expect for fine dining. My definition of it is, a… typical NH diner. That isn’t saying much. When walking in it felt like they were filming that 70’s show or people just simply haven’t left their seat since the 70s. Everything was a little yellow, dark, dusty and I mean the people as well as the décor. I’m not trying to sound harsh… I just am being realistic. Long story short you’re in New Hampshire… what can you expect. Our server was super super happy and friendly, very sweet, sarcastic and welcoming… but they all did smell like smoke. That being aside, it was the friendliest service I had gotten in a long time. Slow… but when you are in the 603 life moves a little slower anyways. I fortunately had eaten already in before coming. So I get a chocolate milk and bacon. Both are pretty good. The other meals that everybody else got were mediocre, and left them with stomachachse afterwards However if you need a place to stop and you’re looking for breakfast and some authentic New Hampshire atmosphere you will be certain to find that here. Given the options in the area… this might be your best bet.

Amazing hearty breakfast with super friendly New England locals! Best diner in Plymouth! I had the Irish Benedict and the egg was cooked perfectly. The shredded potatoes with green peppers and cheese were perfect! All finished with a great cup of good olé diner coffee. Hearty portions, friendly staff, quality food and all served in a timely manner! Go here and get full!

This kind of place should be in every town in every state. The minute you walk in you feel welcome. We were there on a busy Saturday and expected to wait a long time before a stressed-out waitress took our orders. What happened was that we were given menus as soon as we sat down. Then an energetic, cheerful, smiling waitress appeared with two big mugs of coffee. «Coffee?» she said. I took the coffee, but my companion drinks tea. «No problem,» said the waitress, and appeared back at our table with a big, steaming mug of water and a tea bag. I ordered two eggs over easy, whole wheat toast, hash browns and a side of bacon. My companion ordered the Farmer’s Breakfast: two eggs over easy, a side of bacon and a stack of blueberry pancakes. Pure maple syrup was extra, but there was plenty of it. Eggs over easy are hard to do well because they tend to break open. Ours were actually perfect. The bacon that came with the orders was cut thick and cooked brown and crisp, but not dry or overdone. I was told the blueberry pancakes were delicious, but wasn’t given a taste. The coffee mug was refilled several times. The waitress brought out part of an order late to the table across from us, and because it was later than the rest, didn’t charge them. I have to say my home fries were a bit disappointing, although not outright bad. They offer two other kinds of potatoes, which might be better choices. As I looked around the room I saw two men working on a crossword puzzle after finishing their breakfast, lingering with their coffee. A few tables down, two men were playing chess! No one was hurrying them out. This is the kind of place where you can go on a lazy morning, linger with your newspaper and visit with your friends. It reminded me of an Austrian coffee shop where you are welcome to stay until you are done with your reading, and no one says they need your table.

Every town should have a breakfast establishment that the locals love — Annie’s Overflow is that place. The go-to place for early morning loggers, local law enforcement, families on the weekends, hungover college kids in the early afternoon, Annie’s has something for everybody and still has that small-town charm. The owner has worked there from the inception and still does today happily waiting tables, teasing the regulars, and chatting with those passing through. And yes, if you’ve been there more than a couple of times she will know what you mean when you say«the usual» The food itself is standard diner fare: eggs, toast, pancakes biscuits, sandwiches and burgers. Coffee, juice, or even a beer for you hair-of-the-doggers. The food won’t win any awards but it’s good and comforting and served up with just the right amount of familiarity. The Overflow is the best breakfast establishment in Plymouth.

First time visit, it won’t be the last! Good breakfast variety, well prepared and served by very friendly staff. We’ve tried a number if places in the area; some have disappointed(Woodstock station), others were terrific but now closed(Stix). This will be our new go-to breakfast place.

What an adorable little spot. This place should be on diners, drive-ins and dives. The owner, Annie, was our waitress and I’ve never met a happier, friendlier woman. The service is awesome, the food is great, and the atmosphere is warm and homey. Very pleasant experience! You will feel right at home here.

Horrid service, wife was hit by an exploding coffee dreamer as the waitress flung it at some nearby customers in anger. The meal my daughter got wasn’t even close to what she ordered and when asked the waitress seemed upset that she wanted what she ordered. Orde scrambled eggs, pancakes and sausage and get French Toast with an over easy egg w/bacon and you should just accept it? I think not.

If you find yourself in the foothills of the White Mountains(visiting someone at Holderness or Plymouth State? Climbing at Rumney? Need to eat on the way to Whale’s Tail?) you must have a meal here. It’s right off exit 25 on I-93, a little hard to see from the road, next door to a white chamber of commerce information house. It’s about 100 miles north of Boston, maybe 50 miles north of Concord. The food is good, wholesome and reliable, like diner food should be. I’ve only been for breakfast, it always seems busy but it’s large so waits are short. The menu is standard diner, and they do have specials. I want to start by saying the menu is not gourmet or nouveau diner, or anything fancy, but it is plentiful as diner food should be. The orange juice is from a carton but it’s good and comes in a huge cup, maybe 16 oz, where would you ever get that much OJ in Boston? And I suspect some of the fruits and veggies are from a can(fruit salad, mushroooms?) but the essentials are there(real maple syrup!) and the food is very well cooked. The eggs are exactly the way you ordered them, the toast is never burned, the coffee is fresh and hot and they keep coming and coming to refill you(that must be why the name). I love the authenticity of the place somehow it’s such an antidote to all the chains and crummy places you run into in so many rural areas. It’s clean and efficient. They use mugs that probably are picked up from yard sales, I’ve got the Meredith bank mugs, I also got a mug from I think Yosemite National Park once. You get the feeling the place is owned by a human, not a private equity firm. The reason it gets five stars from me is the service. I always think of people in New Hampshire as reserved, even crusty, but not here, it’s friendly as you can imagine. You get a nod and a greeting when you come in, even though there’s no hostess someone always makes eye contact, and someone always calls goodbye to you when you leave. Once I saw them make a mistake on a check in the customer’s favor and when the customer offered to pay his fair share they wouldn’t let him – they took the loss. I actually saw a waitress hug hello to one of her regulars once. The waitresses look out for each other and don’t seem to mind bringing water and crayons to each other’s tables when the crunch is on so things move quickly. You feel like there’s a team there and they actually take pride in giving you a good meal experience. I can’t remember the last time I felt that way at a restaurant.

Annie’s Overflow is a local favorite for several of my coworkers who enjoy stopping here for breakfast when they are out on the road. They have recommended this place to me if I’m ever driving through the area. The Overflow is open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch, conveniently located off I-93 Exit 25. The place is on the right side of the road heading into Plymouth, across from the future ice rink. On the way up north, a coworker and I stopped here for breakfast. The tight parking lot was almost full on a typical weekday. The place was quite busy. We were greeted as we entered and we could sit anywhere we’d like. There’s counter seating and table/booth seating with two dining rooms. We were offered hot coffee($ 1.49) served in «Meredith Savings Bank» mugs, ice water, and given menus as we took a seat in a booth. The menu offers the typical breakfast fare and lunch items(hot & cold sandwiches, salads, soups, chicken tenders, fried haddock, & sides). The waitress also went over the specials including banana French toast, country fried steak & eggs, and quiche. The prices are pretty fair, most items under $ 8 or less. We both decided on some specials($ 6.99 each). I had the country fried steak with sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, home fries, and buttered raisin toast. The semi thick breaded country fried steak had a chewy texture inside. The sausage gravy covering the steak was very rich. The grilled home fries were pretty good. My coworker enjoyed the banana French toast with a side of juicy bacon. Overall, I would’ve given the food 3 stars, but the service was very friendly and attentive, deserving of an extra star. The waitress walked around checking up on us and carrying a pot of coffee offering refills/top-offs several times. The check came to just over $ 18 before tip. As we were finishing up, some workers from our company(different office) stopped in for breakfast. We got going since we had a long day out on the road ahead of us.
