The Sunday wait was around 40mins but so worth it. They didnt serve doughnuts on that Sunday which was disappointing. Not sure if that applies to every Sunday. But the food was great. Oh also they don’t take reservations over the phone… but the food was great! :)

We only were able to experience the bakery products because we had arrived too late for breakfast or even lunch. I had neglected to check their operational hours and wrongly assumed that they served meals all day, an embarrassing rookie mistake. What we were able to try was really good and we bought a number of breads and other baked goods, including Black Currant Almond Bread and Banket Sticks, to take home for later. When we got home, we had to quickly open everything so that we could taste them all and determine our favorites. Everything we ate was delicious. Unfortunately, I was focused on tasting and did not take any pictures. Even though we missed out on breakfast and lunch, it was still well worth our time to stop in here. Next time we will have to be sure to get here earlier to try some of their highly-rated breakfast items, and, of course, buy more breads to take home. If you are in the area, be sure to give them a try; you won’t be disappointed.

In a word? Outstanding. The one downside? The secret is out so everyone knows! As soon as you walk in you’re hit with the smell of delicious baked goods. We ended up getting a seat at the counter(they are first come first serve, a good option if the restaurant is busy). The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. I got that crab omelette, a pancake, and my husband got a bacon omelette — all were wonderful. To top it all off, Suzanne was our waitress and she was so nice! She provided excellent service. We will be coming back here!

Some of the best breakfast I’ve ever had in my life. I had the crab cakes benedicts and the biscuts and gravy. Both were amazing! My wife had the vanilla dipped french toast and the doughnut breakfast sandwich,(which I ate half of both, because they were sweet and flavorful.) The service was very friendly.

Terrific breakfast place! Couldn’t decide between the blue raspberry bliss cakes & corned beef hash, so I got a half order of former & side order of latter — which turned out to be a really great idea. Both were delicious, but I couldn’t imagine eating a whole order of the bliss cakes! Laura had the crab cakes & my bite of that was great, too!

I loved everything about this place! Once you walk in you’re first drawn to the pastries and all that good stuffs on the right side. Birthday cake donuts, strawberry shortcake donuts, sticky buns… We were sat quickly and pleasantly greeted by our server. The menu is nuts. At least 6 different dishes I was trying to decide between. I walked in wanting sweet, but then I had to have both. He went with the monte cristo(super delish!!) and once I saw the strudel the game changed. It’s a bakery and the strudel HAD to be good and it was phenomenal. It had every delicious breakfast item all combined– ham, sausage, peppers, onions, 2 kinds of cheese. Oh, then let’s top it with two eggs(I went with sunny-side up) ANDTHEN let’s top that with freakin sausage gravy and serve it with a side(I got Dutch potatoes). Seriously, one of the best feelings is trying a brand new dish and it being everything you could have hoped for and more. We got a single Klompen cake(with chocolate chunks) as well, since as I mentioned before I did want something sweet. Crisp outside edge, fluffy on the inside, slightly melted chocolate and an incredible syrup. So many more dishes I need to try: corned beef hash, hippy hash, biscuits & gravy, belgee’s waffle, sugar bread… this is the real deal folks.

I had the egg whites omelette, and it was fantastic! Has a really great«Holland» feel to the restaurant, it was very charming and the server I had was so sweet and helpful. For sure recommend for families, or just people looking to have a nice quiet brunch. I didn’t try any of there pastries, but boy did they look yummy!

ANAWESOMEPLACEFORBRUNCH!!! I’d highly recommend it for anyone traveling by Holland! It’s a really nice restaurant that’s great for any age! All of their food is excellent, especially the french toast! They have large portions, so you may want to split meals if you’re watching your waistline. I also recommend putting in your name early, since the wait for a table can take a while(especially on the weekends!). I had the Dutch Brothers Deluxe omelette, which was really good. Overall, a really nice place with good food that is worth the wait :)

This is one of the best places to go for breakfast in Holland. Their hippie hash is wonderful, as is the jam!

Went here for Breakfast with a friend. First starting with the atmosphere. This place has a diner like environment and is only open for the morning hours. Once inside you will see the bakery on the right and the hostess stand on the left. The bakery on the right features multiple glass cases showcasing their house made breads and different fruit pastries. We sat down and the hostess Brenda came and introduced herself. I chose a caramel cappuccino and for my entrée crab cakes eggs benedict. The crab cakes eggs benedict was well executed and was delicious. I ordered a double shot espresso and it was strong, bitter and wonderful. If you are looking for an awesome, delicious, well prepared breakfast diner/café give this place a try and ask for Brenda as she is the nicest, sweetest lady that made our experience here even more enjoyable.

What a neat place. I came hear for some bread and bought their Country French. Boy was that good bread. It was perfect for our sandwiches. It was dense and soft. Perfect taste. I was also impressed at their café area and the other bakery items that had. The person who took care of me was terrific. She knew everything about each of the breads and was able to give me recommendations. I would eat more bread if it wasn’t so taxing on my diet. And I would eat that bread from here. Well worth it and I will be back.

GOOD food GREAT bakery! I want to just live here and eat cake all day haha. I tried the pancakes while my husband had the eggs benedict. The pancake was super fluffy, had great chewiness, was lightly sweet and vanilla scented but the syrup was what made it! That syrup tastes like pure butter mmm. I tried a bit of my husband’s dish and I feel that the hollandaise was a bit too tart. When I make a hollandaise I like it to be a bit more on the rich buttery flavored side. All in all we will have to go back to try something else because it was really good, just not omg great but maybe other things are!

Holland has been put on the map for its tulips, but little do people know there’s something else that deserves to be talked about: its breakfast spots. If you’re downtown, you need to check out The Windmill. If you’re close to Washington Square, take a walk to The Biscuit. If you’re en route to Lake Michigan on Ottawa Beach Rd, you need to fill up at DeBoer. What do you fill up on? Anything and everything. Most likely there will be a wait. No fear, curb your hunger with a donut appetizer from the bakery. I split a marzipan-filled bird’s nest topped with raspberry preserves and buckled at the knees. Donut have enough time?(HA! I had to.) Grab a Dutch specialty like a banket for later. You won’t want to leave without something from the bakery. When you are seated for your meal, the breakfast and lunch options are endless. I combined bakery and breakfast with my breakfast strudel. «Buttery, flaky puff dough loaded with ham, sausage, bacon, green pepper, onion, Vermont cheddar and baby Swiss cheeses. Topped with two eggs of your choice and house sausage gravy, served with your choice of potato…» How could I resist?! My clean plate proved that I couldn’t. This is a must-eat spot in West Michigan. Check it out and thank me later!

We’re told it’d be 15 minutes to get a seat…30 minutes later, blood pressure is rising. If I don’t get food soon, this guy is going to collapse. Well folks, it was worth the wait(and ‘weight’, for that matter) for the deliciousness of this grub. B.A.T. sandwich… yes please. Bacon, egg, arugula, tomatoes, cheese. Yeah, it was good. Wife got, what appeared to be their version of a Grand Slam, you know, the 2 eggs, 2 bacon, toast, etc. She said it was fantastic. The final stop at their bakery before leaving(donuts, cookies, breads) was to get diabetic delights for the next few days.

It’s seems the staff here moves like an well oiled machine. So the crowd hasn’t effect the food or the service. I seat at this breakfast bar and watch it all unfold. This morning I’m so enjoying this Banana Rhumba with some scramble eggs and sausage patties. I tell you this might be the best French toast I have had. I’m drinking iced coffee with ice cubes made of coffee! How cool is that :)
