One of the best places in town for bar food done right, with class and a twist. Burgers are excellent and I’m super picky about burgers. Just the right amount of bun, soft and fresh. Fries are hearty and crispy. The breading on the fish for fish n chips is like no other in town– must try. My Dad who doesn’t even like fish at all could not stop eating the fish. I sandwich with the fried chicken, bacon and aoilo sauce is so savory. I heard the lamb special was off the charts yummy. I have yet to try the mashed potato brisket quesadilla. Can’t wait!

It’s more than just a bar– The first time I was here I wasn’t sure what to expect of the nondescript building next to a gas station that wasn’t really that close to anything– What’s a «five star star dive– bar?» — I think it’s this: A casual, locals mostly joint that serves a pretty good tap list and the usual suspects while also serving real tasty food– not just bar food. Their burger is a delicious classic style and comes with fries, as all burgers should– stop giving people chips and up charging for fries– at something like $ 7 is reason enough to stop in I’d probably go five stars if they consistently had a better tap list but the burger is five stars along with some other really tasty menu options FYI– very busy on the weekends nights

Nice Bar. Decent food. I’ve been here a few times and it will stay on my list. The side salad is fresh, everything tastes fresh. One item I won’t order again are the nachos. Something wrong with the chips: imo, they taste like homemade chips that were not cooked in hot enough oil or, maybe twice fried? Idk. What I do know is that they tasted extremely greasy

$ 5 Burger baskets from 12 – 5 on Saturday and Sunday which is great because their burger is amazing. Comes with cheese and onions and thats honestly all you really need on it. Bartenders know what they’re doing and they keep everything moving pretty quickly so you aren’t standing at the bar waiting for drinks forever. Daily specials. Live music on Thursdays. The manager is super cute and friendly and stops by all the tables. Definitely a good place to check out.

Rude service by waitress left a very bad taste in my mouth. It might be called a dive bar, but service is still king. Food was good, but treating customers poorly doesn’t make it a place to actually want to be. We might go back one time– maybe.

Over 60 minutes to get a chicken sandwich Even after I told them I was leaving, waitress had to get her«manager» who also did not give a shit. Come thirsty cause all they care about is how much booze they can sell Sad

Went there for dinner. Spent 30 mins waiting for appetizer, and another 30 mins for entrée. The waitress was friendly and the taste of the food is fine. They explained that the long wait is because 2 kitchen staff took sick off. However, as a customer, I would prefer to know that when we ordered.

Everything was absolutely delicious and a great value for the money. My brother is a very basic and picky eater, but we found plenty that he loved as much of the rest of us. The buttermilk chicken sandwich, and Asian rito were yummy. The place doesn’t look like much, but the wait staff was friendly and the food was t top notch.

My cheeseburger was fantastic last time in. Tonight I tried the buttermilk dipped fried chicken sandwich. Both dinners include Founders Centennial IPA draft. The food here is really good. I will more of a dinner entrée! I like this place!

The crowd is all older. The service is terrible and it’s so small inside that when it gets crowded you can’t even move around. Would not recommend this place unless you like people breathing down your back!

Excellent Dinner. Four of us went there this evening. The ladies had the fish and chips. The fish was Grouper, lightly battered. They both liked it alot. The other person had the beef pot pie. He thought it was OK, not great, but not bad. I had the chili and a burger. The chili was outstanding. Made with shredded beef, it had a spicy bite, but not insanely hot. The restaurant was crowded and very noisy on this Saturday night.

It’s seems like it’s off the beaten path, but worth the stop in. We came in to catch the Lions game, and it was comforting to see the regulars seated at the bar. The staff was pretty attentive, and the nachos were really tasty here. There was a good variety of beers, and enough seating that allowed viewable access to the tvs. The prices were reasonable and I would come back again.

My 3 friends and I all ordered the itty bitty burger with fries, medium well. The food came out so fast, I was a little skeptical, and was right… 3 out of the 4 burgers were way undercooked and all the fries were undercooked too:(. Also you changed the fries again to thinner ones, disappointed. The thicker fries were SOOOO delicious!!! They were always cooked perfectly! Please bring them back!!! Please take the time to make the burgers the right temp too! We dont mind waiting for good food. We love coming here! Ps… we always have great service tho! :-)

Three stars on the food. The chips and cheeze were to die for! excellent ! the service expectation was more than we recieved. they are extremely slow and unorganized. The women behind the bar are not happy to say the least hey never smile or look like the enjoy waiting on anyone. The waitresses was running all over it took 40 min to get the food They need uniforms they look so unprofessional expecially bar staff. all and all the experience was medioker. Cute place needs better managment.

Food was great. Service was excruciatingly slow and inattentive. Read the previous reviews and hopped in for a sandwich and beer. We went in at 7pm on a Sunday. We sat on the covered patio which has no air flow and it’s a hot day but that was our choice. Waiter was helpful and friendly while we ordered. Unfortunately, we waited an hour and 7 minutes for a sandwich and a burger. Once we got our food delivered by someone other than our waiter, mine was wrong. No one was remotely close to us to ask for help. My burger was cold by the time I could eat it. Then our bill was screwed up too. We were charged for a pitcher on one of the pints. If we would have been notified that they were behind, or apologized to for the excessive wait, it would have been acceptable. If someone would have checked on us once our food was delivered, that would have been better too. If the inside was air conditioned or the outside had some sort of air flow, I might have not been as upset by the wait. With all of the options available, I can’t imagine returning.

At one time, was renamed the Five Star Dive Bar. The name is fitting as the food is definitely five star and it was a dive bar. They have added a nice open air section with tv’s that is great in the summer. When you walk in through the main entrance, you might not expect the type of food this place puts out. There are rotating daily specials on the chalk boards that are always good, but a bit pricey for«bar» food. However, the food offerings are one of the best in the area. My favorites here are the calamari filet sandwich served on pita(only had it in the summer), their spicy chili with three proteins(also seasonal) and their couscous with chicken(may not be offered anymore or by request). I have tried most of the menu and everything is good. If you are heading to the beach, great place for a bite. Insider tip: if not in the mood for a heavy meal, they also offer a lot of «bar» dishes like sliders.

Chef Doug Velo is a master of culinary moves like Bruce Lee mastered moves over Chuck Norris. Doug is mastering the hits without hurting the«victim/victor.» I say victor because you can’t lose on this menu. This menu rocks, except for only a couple of items. Some barmaids nice… some not so much. On the dessert side the«Interracial Cowboy» is as bad in gustatory taste as it is in lack of class in with its horrific name. Porch area is unique and connects you to the outdoors on a nice day.
