It’s now call Sabai Loatian Café and I believe connected to Thai Palace. If you have tried it before the change over give it another shot. Stopped in with a friend for lunch since we both love Thai food. The both of us said«delicious!» after tasting what we had. Go in and taste this food. They give you a very nice portion, especially the Phở soups. The Chicken curry soup was fantastic. We will be back weekly! Very friendly staff.

What was once what I believed to be the best Thai in Holland has permanently lost my business. Upon arrival at 7:28pm, I literally watched them(as they watched me) locking the doors. Their hours sign clearly states that they’re open until 8pm. I have a two hour drive ahead of me to an area without a Thai restaurant within an hours drive. I had been planning on this meal all day, and closing their doors more than a half hour early is catastrophically unacceptable. Will NEVER return.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful but the food was just ok. Egg rolls were great but my main entrée lacked flavor. The flat noodle dish with brown gravy was bland.

I usually wait for my second visit to review a place but I am extremely disappointed. Looking to fill my Vietnamese food cravings I was excited to see they had things other than phở on the menu, especially boba. I had a starving boyfriend at home so I ordered take out. Let me just say that the customer service was nice(I had convos with the cashier and the person making my drinks let me change my order), but the quality of the food is what led to my 1 star rating… I’m confident that their dine in service is better but I feel that take out and dine in services should reflect upon one another. With that being said: I paid for TWO phở mei sandwiches and got ONE. I should’ve checked my bag but I thought two sandwiches were put into one box. By the time I got home it was already to late to drive back or call, they closed at 8. Also note that if you’re looking for a Vietnamese sandwich their sandwich isn’t exactly traditional. The crispy French baguette it’s usually served on was soft and a little on the soggy side because of the picked veggies. Another Unilocal reviewer who reviewed the meat was not lying… ordered the beef with rice and the meat was WAY overcooked and not worth the price it’s charged at. Now the drinks(or more slushie like consistency) were pretty good, but their boba aren’t the real tapioca balls. The boba was the exploding boba you usually find served in froyo places. I’d love to come back and try the phở but I’m extremely skeptical :(

Came here for lunch today and was pretty excited as I’m a big Phở and Vietnamese food fan in general. First, the gentlemen working was covering multiple stations — waiter, cashier, etc… he was very short staffed so i felt bad for him. Our order was mixed up and didn’t come out for about 40 minutes… not a huge deal since we weren’t in a hurry. I got the house special phở. It was OK… nothing special. The broth tasted like soy sauce and lime juice only. Not much depth of flavor. The beef was a bit dry. My colleague ordered the chicken pad thai and he thought it was OK. I also ordered a taro bubble tea and it wasn’t good at all. Very bland taste like it lacked sugar… and the boba balls were extremely mushy. Our server noticed I didn’t drink it so he left it off the bill which was nice of him. Really wanted to like this place — but not sure I’d come back.

I love Phở and was excited to have a place close by but this tasted so bland and the meat was so over cooked it was like jerky. Maybe I got them in a bad day but I’m not willing to try again.

The is Phở is ok but lacking in flavor compared to others in town. I ordered the beef and meatball Phở. I got two small slices of beef and only 3 halves of meatballs. The side items were not fresh. The service was very slow and not very attentive. I have tried the restaurant three times hoping the service would get better. It is one of four places I know of that serve Phở in the holland Zeeland area. Don’t go here if your on a time crunch.

So good! Their Phở is amazing. I have been in there several times and it is always delicious. If they are busy it can be a little slow but I cannot knock them for that. There was only one waiter and he seemed to keep up really well. Also very clean and good atmosphere.

This place is a solid phở place. Now, this is Holland and I came with pretty low expectations. The place was very clean and tastefully decorated. The price of the house special phở was pretty high compared to some of the phở places in Grand Rapids, but after receiving the phở, I understand why. The quality of the ingredients were better than the other phở places that I’d been to, everything was fresh and I don’t think they used MSG, which was always a plus. Hubby ordered beef phở, he is not a phở lover but he finished them, broth and all. Even my 4 yo loved the noodles and broth. Also ordered their fried spring rolls, really good and fresh. All in all, a really good place and we left this place happy and full.

Fantastic. The house Phở was great, but the star of the show was the Fried Spring Rolls & Crab Rangoon. Also, staff is SUPER friendly and attentive.

Must get the house special Phở, fried spring rolls, phở Mei Chicken wings and phở Mei dinner special(chicken). The service is excellent. The eating area is clean and has a modern décor.

I stopped in today. I’ve never had Vietnamese food before so I thought I’d get some take out. Everyone was very helpful with describing the menu items to me. I chose the Lad Na. When I got home with it, I couldn’t believe how fresh and delicious it was. I’ll definitely be going back and try phở next time. The staff was great and the restaurant was very clean and stylish.

Finally, a decent phở restaurant in Holland! I ordered an extra large phở and fried rice to-go but the portions were huge. Noodle portions were decent but I had enough broth to make several more meals at home, just add rice or cook some rice noodles. Same with the fried rice, at least three meals worth if not more.

Not good. Beef in the phở was too thick and super leathery. Bun was not good either. There are better places to get Vietnamese in Holland… Won’t be back.

Excellent Food! My favorites are the Pork Belly with rice and the House Special Phở. The Pork Belly is glazed with a ginger sauce and then grilled and seared. You can’t beat bacon on a bed of rice! If you like Phở with authentic ingredients, this is the place to try it. The Beef Phở has such a perfect flavor, a hint of sweet, a hint of cloves, and I add just a touch of lime. I also add the jalapeño slices to the broth to give the soup a little kick. This is such a perfect dish for a cold winter day. The staff is super friendly and you can tell are proud of their new establishment.

Full disclosure: my lack of familiarity with Phở may be coloring this review a bit, but I have some important points to touch on. The major one: The logistics of eating Phở takeout are extremely daunting. I was given a gargantuan 32 oz styrofoam cup of soup(didn’t see any sizes on the menu), plus a large styrofoam container of… well…the rest of the soup. I guess Phở is like the IKEA of soups: put it together yourself. As there is no way I was eating this in my car, I took it back to the office. Turns out, you really need a large bowl handy to eat this, which in my office I do not have. I tried in vain to throw some of the ingredients into the styrofoam cup without overfilling it, but the cup is so tall that getting at the meat without getting broth on your fingers is impossible. Bottom line: Phở is NOT lunch takeout-friendly. The portion size is ridiculously large(though not too expensive, so that’s a plus) and unless you keep actual dishes at work, you’re going to have to take it home or eat in the restaurant. That said, what I did taste was good. Thankfully I also ordered dumplings so I didn’t totally miss out on lunch, so next time I think I’ll order something else off the menu. There are plenty of options to choose from besides Phở, so when I go back I’ll update this review. The atmosphere was clean and the staff was friendly.

Had the crab Rangoon it’s good the chips come on the side and you add the crab to the chip. Ordered the vegetable phở, was as good as I expect.

I don’t understand how this place is getting such good reviews. If you’ve never had phở and this is the first place you’ve tried I can understand that. BUT try Grand Rapids first and then compare. I got excited when there was a phở(vietnamese) place opening up in Holland, so my boss and I decided to order it for lunch we got the Bun Mei noodle(rice vermicelli with meat, egg roll, and leafy vegetables) such a disappointment! The portion was so small, and for the price it was NOTWORTHIT! Beef: plain(cheap cut), egg roll: tiny. The best part? There isn’t one. Better off driving to Grand Rapids for a better price and larger portions! Will not be returning.
