I had a great experience with this company. They have processes in place and have a quality product that they stand behind. Thank you! However, The previous reviewers… I give 1 star. They sounded like customers that should be on a black list for small family businesses to avoid. They both need jobs. They are like spoiled kids that expect way too much and probably could never be satisfied no matter how much you bend over backwards. Grow up faith and Jamie!

This review is solely on the experience I had trying to schedule an appt for an estimate. I didn’t get as far as getting work done. I felt like the girl who answers the phone at the store was rude. I was calling to get something fixed and had called Countertop Shops because the previous owner of my house had said they were the ones who installed my counters. When I told the girl they had installed my counters and I needed to get something fixed but wasn’t sure if they would be able to do it or if I had to call someone else, she told me she had to call me back. Maybe I’m impatient but when she says ‘let me check and call you back’ I expected a call back within a couple hours at least since I was assuming someone would come out to take a look and give an estimate. But I never got a call back even almost a day after my initial call. It took forever for me to find someone who could even come out to look at the problem(I actually had to find an old business card and call the cell phone of the sales person because the girl at the store was unhelpful.) The first thing the sales person said was that they hadn’t installed my counters. It annoyed me that they took the time to find out if they had installed it or not rather than to just make an appt to come see if they could fix it which is what I had asked for in the first place. Then they said they could come at the end of the week– 4 days after my initial call. I would have thought that if someone needs something fixed, the first step would be to make an appt to take a look at the problem first. (Just to clarify, I didn’t make an appt for someone to come out because by the time I actually had someone call to make the appt, I was so turned off by their service so I started to look elsewhere –which the one guy actually said to do when I asked if he could come sooner.) I felt as though they were reluctant to help me because I said they installed the counters originally and perhaps thought I was blaming them for it breaking(which was not the case– I just wanted to know if they were able to fix it or if I had to call someone else). I ended up going with someone else who was able to come out and fix my problem the same day. I realize that not all companies are able to come out the same day because they are busy, but most companies I call are able to schedule an appointment right away to come take a look at the problem — not 5 phone calls later. Hopefully other people have a better experience with Countertop Shops but looking at the other reviews, I doubt it.

If I could rate this company a 0, I would. Never answers my email so I had to call them — «oh, I don’t know where the general emails go *insert teenage laugh*». Uh. Ok. Well now that I actually have someone on the phone, I need to schedule something for Saturday. The staff was flexible enough to accommodate that(hence 1 star). Fast forward to Saturday– I ran into a delay for my appt so I called them 1.5 hrs early to alert them. Got their voicemail. Then at 9:30, I received a call from the store asking where I was. Uh– I called earlier to let you know I’ve run into a delay, and that I’ll be no more than 30 minutes late. Their response — «oh, I do t know how to check the voicemail». That wasn’t reassuring to me. At all. At some point I should have just cut my losses and went elsewhere. But I drove on. Once I arrived at the store, the displays were sub-par, and the sales person was uneducated on the differences in brands, quality and options. More than once I had to remind her I wasn’t concerned with cost, but rather quality. She wasn’t able to answer my questions on the differences btwn Cambria, and the other suppliers. Here’s a hint, it’s thickness. Ok, moving on to the remnant selection, some of the pieces were damaged, not a surprise as a remnant. When asked what happened to some of the pieces, her response was — Oh, you know, the weather. Uh, huh. Next(and last fiasco — the sink options. They had none. I was looking for a composite kitchen sink and an apron front sink as well as 3 standard bathroom sinks. They had none of these as a display. Come on, even Home Depot can do better than that. So– to recap — emails and phone calls go to the island of misfit toys, the quality and selection are sub-par and the knowledge is non existent. I spent a total of 15– 20 minutes in the store. I won’t be returning.

The countertops were fine, the guy that came to measure was very polite, but one of the two installers was AWFUL. He reeked of cigarettes and possibly last night’s booze, and after I repeatedly told him I didn’t want to sign off on the job(which we had already paid for in full) until my husband came home from work and looked at it, he informed me he couldn’t leave until I signed. I felt incredibly uncomfortable with him, and would never work with that company again.

Everything about dealing with the Countertop Shop was a positive experience… from visiting the showroom to learn about materials and seeing the workshop to having measurements done in our home for the template(on time, efficient and informative) to having the countertop installed(again, on time, and professionally done). We are so happy with the results and highly recommend the Countertop Shop!
