For a business catering to small-town folk they sure were duds in customer service. Normally when I’m here I don’t go inside I just pay for my gas at the pump. But I have a long drive ahead of me so I decided to pick up a bag of snacks. It was about four in the afternoon and they weren’t crazy busy but there are plenty of people there. When I walked in one of the employees was cleaning the windows with Windex and paper towels. Or I should say she was standing there with the paper towels in her hand texting on her cell phone. She did not look at me she did not smile she did not say hello she didn’t even open the door. There was nobody at the register when I walked in so there was nobody there to greet me. The place was kind of dimly lit. Yes the sky was gray and rainy outside but it seemed really dark inside. I chose my item to snack on and went up to the register. The older lady at the register didn’t really even look at me she was too busy watching outside. She looked at my item put in the dollar amount and told to me. No I contact no hello no greeting no anything. I paid her my $ 3.29 she gave me the change and give me a dry thank you. As I walked out I walked by the employee cleaning the windows again. Again no I contact nothing. She was at least cleaning amiss time and not on her cell phone. But she could’ve at least said hello thank you have a great day or even open the door for me. This place is convenient but it lacks the customer service that a small town store that caters to the populations of Parkersburg Aplington needs.
