sam’s is a small town diner and it’s about what you expect. everything is solid and the waitstaff is nice. i had two sandwiches, the reuben and the patty melt. both were good and good enough. the fried zucchini however were disappointing because they were overfried.
i went on a friday night for a fish fry dinner and it was gigantic and tasty, but the fish was slightly overcooked. I also prefer a lower fish-to-batter ratio (for more fried skin), and the included Kraft tartar was just bad. i didn’t expect much from the tartar, but i didn’t expect it to be so bad either. the included fries were cooked crisp and perfect though, and the coleslaw was coleslaw yummy. overall, pretty good.

Awesome breakfast, lunch and dinner at a price you can’t beat. I’ve been coming here for years. They are a true asset to Holley!
