In case anyone ever decides to Unilocal Apple Tree Farm, not knowing what it is, I’ll queue you in! Apple Tree Farm is an event barn located in Hollis, New Hampshire. Eventing meaning horseback riding, for those who don’t know. Allison, the owner, has a pretty nice barn, although fairly small, at the main location for the summer. When I rode there, they were located on Blood Rd in Hollis for the winter. At the farm in Hollis, they have a very nice outdoor ring, with stadium jumps, and a decently sized cross country course. Every other week is jumping(stadium and xcountry) and then flat work, so you get a nice balance of what you’re training. She also offers certain packages, like if you want to show or just ride. I’m also under the impression, although I’ve never done it, that they go down to Aiken, South Carolina in the winter to train in xcountry. It costs money, but hey, it’s slightly warmer than here in the winter! The horses are all friendly, but the people are so so. Allison will try and make whatever you like work for you, and it’s definitely a great barn to train for eventing at! This is their website:
