Very bad service. Food never arrived. Had me and my pregnant wife waiting for food for 4 hours. Called twice for status and food still never arrived. Person who took order was very unprofessional and disrespectful. Never again!!!

2 stars for the pizza pie delivered in which the dough was not cooked long enough. It had this uncooked soggy flour taste. We had to reheat the pizza inside our oven just to get that cooked crispness. Moreover, the crust was way too thick to begin with. I really don’t mind the thick crust. It was the almost raw pizza that made me upset. Forget it, this was just a disaster waiting to happen on us. We ordered the pizza here for the convenience. Bad bad bad choice. Will not make the same mistake twice. Will look for better pizza elsewhere even if it is 100 miles away. That’s all.

Growing up in queens village and then moving to Bellerose I only ate gabbys ! Friday night my parents bought pizza from gabbys and until this day I’m still not tired of it. Occasionally when we’re not in a rush, passing by Fran hill my fiancé and I would stop in to get a slice. FYI they only accept cash!

I love Gaby… the pizza is old school good. The sauce is like mama made. Cheese is not oily. The slice is a good size. I love Gaby

The slices here are on the thick side. It’s fresh, cheesey and the sauce is delicious. One of the employees here was truly a gem! He was such a kind hearted man! I asked if my pie could be customized into a specific shape. While one employee said it couldn’t be done, the other overheard my conversation and formed the shape I asked for and surprised me with it! Pizza is great, as is the service! My go to pizza place while in Queens.

I came to Gaby’s while I was on a shoot with an entrepreneur from the neighborhood. I have to say that I’ve tried pizza in many different parts of New York City. NYC is known for pizza but Gaby’s has to be among the very best pizza I have ever had, period. I live in Manhattan but I will travel to Hollis, Queens any day for a pie from this place.

We ordered a large pie half extra cheese and half mushroom. It was pretty good. the sauce was nice but a bit on the sweet side. I wasn’t a huge fan of the crust. It wasn’t bad but I’ve had better. Overall, I’d order from them again… i

I don’t get the hoopla about gabbys. It’s busy, it has pizza, but what’s so special about the pizza? It’s kinda pricey for a slice, you get better stuff in manhattan for cheaper where the cost of running a business is much higher. Explain that… Sauce is grossly sweet Crust is average, not crispy on bottom when you get it like other places. Soggy crust is somethin I associate with non ny style pizza.

Ok let’s get one thing clear, Gaby’s has redeemed itself, even though the prices are high as hell but anyways. I noticed certain Unilocalers have an affinity for Margarita’s pizza which is OK I guess. Had to get my meatball slice from them twice in a row, one to eat there and one to take home. The meatballs and cheese were fresh, the sauce is robust, not sweet(thank you Pizza Gods) and the crust was cooked evenly not burnt. Service there is hectic, that’s normal. What really had me was the cannolis which I had to get and bring home to the fam. One of the few places on this side of Queens to get them other than going out to Bayside. That ricotta cheese is like heaven when you bite into the cannoli. I wish they made bear claws but it’s a pizza shop so I can’t complain. What really got me was how many Italians in Queens that still come to Gaby’s. On the real that in itself says a whole lot about the quality.

I have lived around the gaby’s neighborhood for years. On Saturday night of 12÷19÷15 We ordered one cheese pie for delivery around 7:13 pm. We waited until 8:45 pm to call back to check on our order. Due to long wait we asked to cancel the order and opt to pick it up from the store. The Person on phone says no and insists and says its on it’s way without even asking and knowing our order? Around 9:15 pm we call back saying that the pizza is taking way too long and they say call them back if it doesn’t arrive in 5 mins. We call them back stating that it is taking too long and can we get some form of compensation for the lack of service. The gentleman on phone says that the delivery man wrung the doorbell and called and no one answered. When infact no one called and no one came and wrang because we waited and looked out for him. He then asked our address which bldg number was 89 – 65 and phone number ended in 6924. He Just so happened to claim after we told him our info. that the order says phone number ended in «5924» and they wrote down«89−55» for bldg number. Personally sounded like bs to me, who gets the phone number and building number wrong. We then ask for compensation for the 2 hr wait for food.(i.e lower price, extra pie) or something. The man at store claims with the most Wise guy, bronx tale attitude«It’s human error, it’s not our fault what do you want us to do.» Because it’s human error due to a «human» who works at his store? That we even offered to pick up pie after waiting for a hour and a half and he bs’d us to keep us waiting 2 hrs plus to never get a pie? To then brush us off saying it’s inevitable because of Human error, of an incompetent human at their store that we should deserve no breaks or discount for the 2 hrs plus that we’ve waited for 1 Pizza pie. After living near and eating this establishment for almost 20 years, I will never eat here again.

I was told about this place by my wife. She grew up in Hollis and this was her neighborhood pizza joint. Then she told me it was on the Rachael Ray show for being the best pizza in New York City. I decided to try it for myself. My vote is that it is my favorite slice of pizza, New York or any other style. To be frank I’ve been to Italy and a New York slice of pizza beats any pizza in Italy any day. Their pain slice embodies what an authentic New York City slice of pizza should taste like. It sets the standard. I’ve tried other great slices in the city in all boroughs but I always find that when I compare it to Gaby’s, Gaby’s always wins.

Good pizza. The pizza crust was just ok. The pizza was good. It didn’t Wow me in the least. They stayed busy with a steady flow of customers. Picking up their called in orders. The staff was friendly. The place is clean. It is a little narrow in there along the aisles. Check it out if you want good pizza in this area.

Gaby’s is in my top 5 pizza places for sure. It’s definitely not the be-all-end-all of pizza as some on here claim, but it is definitely on the upper side of the good pizza scale.

First came here 4 – 5 years ago after many people raving about it to me. When I tried it I did love the pizza and the sauce as a whole package. Stopped by again today and got the same mushroom slice but it just didn’t taste as good as I remembered. Sauce is still great and sweet but the dough was too thick and chewy. If you like chicago deep dish style, this might be the spot for you but as for me, I’ll look for a thinner crust elsewhere.

I wanted to give Gaby ’ s some credit, but I’m not impressed. I had to add my 2 cents by writing a review because noone in the borough of Queens or visiting should be hoodwinked or bamboozled. 1st off, This is not the«Best» pizza Queens has to offer. Margherita’s nails pizza in Queens, hands down. When we talk fresh ingredients, SAUCE and crust, we are talking about deal breakers. The sauce here needs work. Why’s it so sweet? The pizza is always soggy. I am no fan of a mushy slice. The cheese… me no like. Unsure what they’re using. Gabby ’ s is offering good service. I give them that, but the quality ingredients and presentation here, is lacking. Not a fan.

Always fresh, polite, clean and delicious!!! I’ve been coming here since my first set of baby teeth grew in! Hehe I no longer live in the area but every time I’m in Queens, my family and I ALWAYS make the trip out of the way for this pizza. As good as it gets in my opinion!

Almost everyone in Queens has heard of Gaby’s Pizza. It’s one of those iconic pizzerias you have to check out at least once. It’s located in an outdoor shopping center and looks like any other pizzeria. When you enter, there’s usually always at least a short line to order, however it moves quickly. I usually stop in for a quick bite before or after grocery shopping. I’ve tried many items off the menu here. My favorites have been the buffalo chicken slice, spinach Alfredo slice, and the Sicilian slice. I’ve also had their pastas but those are hit or miss for me… some I’ve enjoyed and some were extremely mediocre to say the least. I would definitely advise anyone to at least stop by and give it a try and definitely definitely go for the pizza!
