Such a cool idea! We really liked the maze. The actors were all SPECTACULAR and the sets were great. We came last year and again this year. Unfortunately, it seems to have gotten much more popular in the last year– and with more people comes some really poorly behaved ones. Given how successful the Dark Crop has become, it would really be to their benefit to add some staff to manage the extra crowds. –We had a big problem with lots of large groups cutting in front of us. The line was already very long. Then groups of people would come join a friend in line in front of us. We came with a group of eight and waited at the entrance until everyone was ready. Other groups would send one or two«delegates» to get here early, then the rest would all come cut in line. It’s annoying when one or two people do it, but when the number cutting far exceeds the number waiting? Really inappropriate. And it happened several times. The worst was a sorority/frat group that *insisted* they had called and the manager said it was ok… Then, literally over twenty people cut in front of us as more carloads arrived from campus –Family fun and long lines means lots of antsy kids. Running and screaming is one thing– ok fine we are outside, I’ll deal with it. But some big groups with bunches of kids just like totally gave up on parenting. Example: Kids climbing the apple trees and having contests to shake out the most apples. Other kids had contests trying to shine flashlights into others guests’ eyeballs to make people«go blind.» It was really annoying. And we had to deal with it for 90+ minutes. Those are the types of issues that could be solved by having some folks stationed at the middle at end of the line for the whole night. I know it’s a small family establishment, but I really hope they can hire a few additional staff members to help manage the crowds. IDEALLY… Hold onto your horses… They’d have a system where tickets are sold by entry time. If you miss your time, you can wait in line on standby. Overall: the actors are just great and we had a really fun time. Unfortunately, we spent so much time waiting helplessly as the line grew infinitely longer in front of us… and poorly behaved kids harassed us… it was hard for us to get excited and leave happy :/

Went with my wife and 12 year old son. This was out third year going. Waited in line while they took groups of 3 – 6 at a time. They could have made thee group sizes bigger since the line was getting longer and longer and was starting to back up. Each time they brought people into the cornfields the next people in line had to wait 8 – 10 minutes. Cmon enough already! We couldn’t catch up to the people in from of us with that much lead time even if we ran through the entire maze! Additionally, we were told once we were led into the haunted maze there were only three rules…” Don’t touch the corn, don’t touch the corn, and… don’t touch the corn… They even had us repeat it! Lame.(More on this later) Once in the maze, I agree with the previous comment of «it was seriously lame and the actors were just a bunch of teenagers YELLING, in our ears, with southern drawls» no masks all except one(MOREONHIMLATER) just smudged painted faces with not much effort put into looking scary except some of the girls at least made an effort to look like zombies. Now here comes the breaking point… we were going along the path, getting a bit scared from time to time when one teenager dead guy kept following us with an ax so we quickened the pace, so did he, so we started to walk even faster and about 15 feet later some guy, the ONLYGUY dressed INANOLDMANMASK, started yelling at us. We thought it was part of the act until he said, «I will kick you all the hell out out if we were caught running again» «you damn people think this is funny? I won’t put up with you shit again!!! Try me, try me, What were the rules in here? Don’t you guys remember??? No running!!» What are you damn track stars?”(My son was wearing a x-country jacket) (Now do you remember the three rules in the beginning they had us repeat?, if not see fist paragraph… don’t touch the corn 3 times). First they NEVER said no running, EVER, and second we weren’t running, we were walking very fast!!! So this SWEARINGFROMTHESTAFFINFRONTOFMYWIFEANDKID pissed me off! Then he actually re-ordered us so my wife had to be first and hold the flashlight and took my son out of line so he would be last. Are you kidding me? Are you a baby sitter? Never again am I going back after our family being scolded with SWEARINGFROMTHESTAFF !! So unprofessional of him. The maze was lame, the one staff member was an ass to us and the crop had not been scary like in the past with lots of props and scary masks like they used to have. INTHISREVIEW I’D GIVEIT A ZEROIF I COULD!

Haunted cornfields are probably the easiest and cheesiest attractions in the whole Haunted Attraction industry. It is very very rare to come across one that I actually enjoy. Dark Crop I found by accident in the middle of a nowhere road one night. Getting out of the car and looking over a huge corn field that is at least 2 feet taller than most corn fields all I could hear was random screams in the distance. I was hooked from the beginning. Typically a corn attraction grows paths that are about 6 to 8 feet wide. The corn is dead and grassy and only 7 feet tall just tall enough that its difficult for most to look over. At Dark Crop you get about 1 to 2 feet wide of a path with stocks maybe 9 feet tall and thick like bamboo. Your way is barely lit by tiny little lantern posts. Other places you are lucky if you feel lost in the corn, at Dark Crop you are STUCK in the corn. Actors are more into it then most places, every one of them actually had a character. And Let me mention they have a little farm stand where you purchase the tickets. In the coolers they have what I think may be some of the BEST Pumpkin Woopie Pies EVER! So that’s a bonus. Dark Crop is the right price for a good little side adventure during one of your October nights. One of the best New England has to offer if you ask me.
