I am very pleased with my experience at Tri Lakes Dental office. The office itself presents a clean yet inviting atmosphere with the receptionist being friendly and efficient. The Dentist and hygienist worked well together and I felt safe literally in their hands. Dr. Rick is personable while he seems competent and knowledgeable in his practice, explaining the exam and treatment plan to me in an understandable manner. I received two fillings at my appointment but felt relaxed during this process which for most people is not an easy situation. I am also pleased with the outcome. I will definitely be receiving my dental care needs at this office in the future.

I am giving this 2 stars because the hygienists were awesome. If all I had to do was get my teeth cleaned I would go here. The dentist however deserves 1 or no stars at all. After one visit here, referred by a friend, I am transferring to another dentist. Tuesday I had my first visit for a cleaning. I never even spoke with the dentist, despite spending $ 250 on a cleaning, a full set of x-rays, and ‘new patient’ consultation. Thursday, despite my less than stellar appointment on Tuesday, I took my girls back for an appointment for cleaning. They scheduled my daughters appointments at the same time, which I thought would be fine. However, they were at opposite ends of the clinic, so I was unable to be with both at the same time or even split time between. My 3 year old had to sit on my lap for her first visit. He proceeded to tell me that she had ‘tongue thrust’ and about some device we would eventually have to put in her mouth to fix it. He was short with her about what he wanted her to do with her teeth, how he wanted her to smile, to check the alignment. Not a good impression for a kid’s first time at the dentist. My 5 year old was already treated, even given fluoride, and the dentist never talked to me about her teeth at all. When I asked the hygienist if I could ask him a quick question, she said he had already left. This was 5 minutes after our appointment. After spending $ 350 on their appointments(2 cleanings, and again the ‘new patient’ consultation fee, and xrays for the oldest), and $ 250 on my own appointment, you would think that a dentist would be excited about a new customer. I get the impression that either he was miffed that we were 15 minutes late, or that he hates his job. We will NEVER see you there.
