I had my first, and LAST experience here ever!!! I had a problem with my newly bought weed-trimmer, so I called the manufacturer, which provided me with this location as an authorized dealer to fix my trimmer. Upon entering the store, I walked up to the service station-trimmer in tow-where several employees were standing around… until I cleared my throat-did someone ask what I needed. Not a «hello, can I help you?» I asked if they repair my trimmer, and explained that it was under warranty and the manufacturer sent me. That is when an older man came to the service desk-and took my trimmer and scolded me for not having the safety guard on my trimmer-then hastley walked away into the back with my trimmer… Hmmm…okay? WIthin about 15 minutes of me leaving, I recieved a phone call from«the man that took my trimmer» stating that I ruined the engine, and that I had not put oil in it, and I broke the entire thing in a very rude voice. I explained to the man that I had put oil in the lawn tool, and I only had used it once. That is when the man told me the manufacturer will prob not replace my tool, but I can call and find out. So I did. The manuacturer said that it was Mckays responsiblity to call and ask for authorization, and it didnnt matter who was at fault, it was under warranty. I then called Mckays where I was told«the man with my trimmer» was gone, and would call me back. The next day, I called Mckays again, and I was told«the man with my trimmer» would be in in about 30 minutes, and he would call me. About two hours later, I called Mckays yet again, only to hear the«man with my trimmer» tell me that I could pay for the repairs, but that Mckays no longer does warranty work for the manufacturer! WHAT?! I asked when this was, and«the man with my trimmer» told me it has been for about two weeks now… so why was my lawn tool even taken for service??? I believe Mckays wanted to make money off me, rather than go the time and effort to fix the warranty work!!! I imeidiatly went and picked up my trimmer-and asked to speak to «the man that used to have my trimmer» where I was told he was not availble, but that Mckays does not fix warrantied lawn tools, and haven’t for«about a few months». Hmmm… I have a feeling that if I was a man with a weed-trimmer, this problem would have not even came to face! I will never visit Mckays, nor will Mckays get a dime from me ever!!! I do love to promote local business, but this place is a joke! Never again!
