Cabo Blanco Restaurant

More than one and a half hour to deliver a fairly simple order. The food arrived completely cold, the yuca frita was probably 1 day old and on top of everything they screwed up our sauce order, which they charged extra for. Last time I order from this place!

Shitty food. We ordered in delivery. The restaurant called us to tell us ‘hey we’re out of pork’ immediately. It’s only 3pm but okay? We replaced it with asada. One hour later we are still waiting for our food and I call delivery dudes. First time, I’m on hold, then someone hangs up on me. The I call them back. talked to someone. They were out of chicken as well?! They couldn’t have told us that earlier?! How long is reasonable to wait for food? Really disappointed in delivery dudes AND the restaurant! Someone needs to own up here!

Lunch here is really cheap. Like $ 4.49 for a quarter chicken, rice and bean cheap. I mean, you can hardly get that price at a fast food joint, and this is a real restaurant.
However, when it’s too good to be true, it is. It’s definitely not as good as other rotisserie chicken I have had, Peruvian or otherwise, and the other Peruvian places spice their chicken with your flavor.
Décor wise, it’s like they were aiming for chic with white wall decorated with a line of blue wall trim, and some modern looking white lamps. However, it feels like they couldn’t follow through with the theme, there’s a soccer match projected on the wall, and things look a bit white-​unfinished-​depressing rather than white-​classy-​and-​chic.

Let’s break it down:
Service: it’s just plain ok
Food: below average, even compared to the other Cabo Blancos in the area.
Prices: ok
Ambiance: well, this is where this place really sucks, we have been here 3 times and it has been empty, always. They have a boom box playing loud music, trashy if you ask me.
Grow up people.

The service was great! The Ceviche al Aji Amarillo was delicious. The Mariscada «Cabo Blanco» was good but very salty (maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be?). The pisco sour was quite nice. I liked it but I’m not sure I’ll be going back.

This location opened in the past month. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We went on a Sunday afternoon and they had someone playing guitar outside. They have great lunch specials 7 days a week. My friend ordered the Lomo Saltado lunch special for $ 8.99. It came with French fries, rice and plantains. The meat was tender and the sauce very tasty. The meat is mixed with grilled red onions and sliced tomatoes.
I had the tacu tacu saltado off of the regular menu for $ 18.99. I thought this was quite pricey. It was the same portion of meat as the lunch special but had the tacu tacu, which is rice and beans. It was not crispy like I have had at other Peruvian restaurants. I prefer the tacu tacu to have a crispy edge to it. It was also served with a side of black beans… that is bean overload:)
Service was good. The inside is fancier than what you see on the outside. Sometimes they run Groupons. There is free street parking.
Overall, a good experience and I would return for the lunch specials!

Finally found the Peruvian Restaurant that we were looking for
Amazing Food /​great fish
Good atmosphere

Large, clean, friendly place. I stopped by and tried the Leche de Tigre Cabo Blanco ceviche, tiny bits of fish and seafood in a milky sauce topped with a shrimp. Excellent!
I will be coming back.

This review is for the new «Cabo Blanco Restautant» in Hollywood Blvd Downtown. The service was very poor from the beginning to the end. We ask for two pisco sour drinks and we had to send it back because it was nothing like the drink. Then we asked for a shrimp and fish ceviche and we got shrimp ceviche. Then we asked for a seafood rice and it was grease and way too salty. The door host, the waitress and the bartender were Colombian so the restaurant have no credibility. This is not a good restaurant.

I was looking forward to trying the new spot in hollywood strip since I have been to every single restaurant in the strip.
After waiting for 45 min with not even the drinks we order, the server comes out an apologizes for the long wait, about 15 min later the food came out and I most say, what a disappointment. This is a restaurant I will never go back to or recommend it to anyone. I would give it a negative star if I could

Came here on a Monday afternoon for Lunch. Imported Peruvian beer like Cusquena or Cristal was 5 bucks a bottle. A bit pricey but I’m not complaining. I did see a special where they had .99 drafts for happy hour all weekdays from like 4−7pm…so that’s not bad.
Service was stupendous, and they were busy, yet the server found time to take care of me and check in on me from time to time.
The food was classic Peruvian. This place is heavy on flavor and light on style. So you want a great meal and casual prices, this is the place to be!

I loved it! I ordered delivery and was pleasantly surprised. Large amount of food for the price. Pescado a la Corrillana was a stand out! The huancaina sauce was a little bland for my taste but was able to give it a little kick with the extra sauces they provide. Food came fast and warm. Will definitely order again. I can’t wait to try other things.

My wife and I enjoyed the food very much. We ordered and paid online for pickup. The atmosphere inside was modern and elegant.

Excellent pescado saltado and mondongo (tripe)! Prices are great for what you get at this delicious peruvian restaurant. Second time I go here. Food and service are A+.

We come here 1 or 2 times a month and it’s always on point. The food is authentic and delicious. Some of our favorites are Jalea mixta, lomo Saltado, tallarines verde, ceviche and the picarones. Everything is just amazing and the service it’s great. Pepe always takes great care of us. I highly recommend this place. We love to eat and consider ourselves foodies and this place is definitely worth it!!!

Everything has been amazing and god bless the order online cause I ordered once on the phone and it was a hot mess with workers not listening, I felt rushed like they were just trying to get me off the phone instead of listening to my problem not to mention the accent barrier
Foood is always on point

This place used to be good until I got food poisoning. A year after, I decided to try it again. I ordered pick up and the cashier was not friendly at all. After I got back home, I found hair in my food and called them right away. Sadly, they were unable to help me and kept refusing that the hair came from them.
I am beyond disappointed and would never came back here again.

OMG, this place is a joke, had to asked for water, had to ask for sauce, NO BREAD was served when you arrived. Food took too long, my lomo saldado was half/​cooked disgusting… I was never asked if I wanted beans with my dish… I hate french fries… on a sauce plate… makes them saggy…
A couple more patrons enter during lunch and asked if they can watch the futbol game out loud… seriously, is this a restaurant to have lunch not your living room… NO CLASS!!!

After I told the waiter/​owner about my un-​cooked steak… he just gave me a «what-​do-​u-​want-​me-​to-​do-​look» really, that is a health issue to served under-​cooked food.!!
THE ORIGINAL JOHNSON LOCATION IS way better… This was my first and last time here.
I always go the one on Johnson, its been more then 10 years… and their food is amazing!!!

This place is bomb! Wow, so glad I found this little gem. Staff is nice and food is great! Support your local restaurants. AMAZZZZZING

An average culinary experience.
Very clean environment with friendly and attentive service.
Best of the evening was the cerviche… I’d order the corviche fish Diablo next time, instead of the mixto. Grilled corvina was boring. Grilled meat was also average in flavor. But prices were excellent, providing very good value. So, can’t complain too much.
