Shiri is the only person on the planet I will allow to touch my hair. Simply marvelous. Worth every penny. Thank you Chaz Dean for giving Shiri a forum to perform her cosmogony hair magic.

This is the place I used to get my hair cut. I love the salon it is so relaxing and calm and the stylists really do a great job. The parking is not bad at all for the location. My only complaint is the cost. I get he is a celebrity hair stylist but I can get my hair cut at other places that do just as good of a job for about half the price. I like the Wen products but just too expensive and complicated to use. I recommend this place for a special occasion hair cut and treatment but not for a regular place because of the price.

Troy is absolutely amazing. He truly takes his time to figure out what will actually look good on YOU. I initially came in for a cut and my hair feels so healthy now, and he still managed to keep my length which is very important to me. Afterwards I decided to go lighter for the summer, and he is a magician. I am in love with the new color. He’s such a pleasure to work with! All the girls in our office go to Troy.

Shiri is my hair hero. After moving to LA I suffered through a number of bad haircuts from people who simply did not know how to handle my thick, kinda curly red hair. After a ton of research and bad hair days, I set up an appointment with Shiri, and have never looked back (or more fabulous). She is a master at her craft, in addition to being a simply delightful person. 100% recommended — she’s totally worth it.

I legitimately closely followed her work for a good 2+ years because she does the hair of two of my favorite YouTubers — Claire Marshall and Jen Im. I had virgin hair and had never colored my hair because I know so many people that have damaged their hair from coloring it, but I found out that Anna and the Chaz Dean team don’t use bleach, so that made me a lot happier about deciding to go here. Finally, after over 2 years of lusting over Anna’s beautiful work, I decided to bite the bullet and book an appointment because I knew I would not be happy unless I went to the mastermind herself!
I booked an appointment in June 2015, and unfortunately her earliest availability was not until October 2015 because I could only come in on a Saturday, so if you’re in the same boat, you better plan ahead! I decided to get a much needed haircut from her first (I went 3 years without a single haircut — YIKES!), just to see how it would go and also for her to do the consultation and work with my hair before coloring it. My cut looked amazing — and Anna was able to work with my hair and decide what she could do coloring-​wise.
I then had my first color appointment at the end of Feb 2016. She didn’t have enough time in her schedule to do my color + cut in the same appt, so I had my hair cut the following week. She was excited and shocked that I had virgin hair, and I told her I didn’t want to screw up my hair by dying it the unhealthy way/​with bleach, so I knew it was worth it going to her! Since it was my first time coloring, I had very subtle highlights that naturally lightened as time went on. They also did a remoist.
I just went in for my second coloring appointment at the end of May 2016. The process was a bit different than the first time I went, and took longer, but the results are AMAZING! She was able to lighten a lot more and give me both highlights and lowlights. I am SO happy with my hair and I am excited to see what she does in the future! Because I trust her so much, I pretty much let her color my hair however she wanted. She totally understands color and really tries to do whatever will look good based on the person’s skin tone, facial features, etc.
Overall, I LOVELOVELOVE Anna’s work and I am so happy I finally decided to go to her. She is so detail oriented, puts so much and really cares about her work and her clients and I feel so pampered going here. Also, I love her fantastic assistants — CC and Lou for taking such great care of me! You guys are amazing!
Pro Tip: Schedule your appointments in the morning, because the salon is less busy and the parking is soooo much better. Good luck trying to find a parking spot if you get here after 12pm! Also if you come early, it’s much more quiet and the stylists/​assistants can dedicate more attention to you: P

I visited the Chaz Dean salon for the first time this last Saturday, and came out feeling beautiful, confident and refreshed thanks to the magic done by my stylist, Mark Acitelli. I have been a dedicated Wen user for the past five years, so it was almost like a dream come true to have my hair done by the people who take care of my hair on a daily basis through their products.
Mark was very attentive to what I requested for my color: I am a redhead who has been searching for the right red for years, and Mark finally nailed it. I was impressed with how much thought and care he gave into finding the right red that would suit me and my skin tone, as well as the color I had requested to begin with. Together we decided upon a «look» and when it was all said and done, I was blown away with the results. For the past few days I have been getting stopped on the street; by friends and coworkers, complimenting my hair. Everyone assumes I am a natural redhead, which was so important to me as I did not want to look over-​processed or unnatural. Mark was also able to cut my hair so that I have a lot of body, while keeping the length long. My hair has never looked so silky and shiny.
I highly recommend anyone looking for a stylist who is thoughtful, artistic, can deliver the exact results you are looking to achieve with your cut or color, to book an appointment at Chaz Dean salon in Hollywood, and request Mark Acitelli to be their stylist.
You will not only leave the salon with a beautiful and refreshed look, but you will leave feeling like you’ve had a relaxing day as the premises alone are one to be savored as they are both peaceful and relaxing. The staff as a whole at Chaz, were all incredibly warm and welcoming as well. I look forward to my next salon visit.

I got my hair done by Sara, also known as CC. CC was being overseen by Mark while I was getting highlights done. I am ABSOLUTELY in LOVE with the way my hair come out. I’ve been wanting to do subtle highlights for the longest time!!! I am so glad I waited and went with the right person. My hair not only looks beautiful and naturally done, it also looks and feels extremely healthy as well (shiny and smooth). CC did a wonderful job on my hair and I couldn’t be any happier! :) I just got it done yesterday and I am already getting SO many compliments! Thank you so much CC and Mark for your patience and awesomeness!

First-​Wen the product: I have been using for 5 years. I was loosing my hair due to illness, vitamins we’re bringing new hair but it wasn’t staying. I tried Wen to see if it would help, it did! Now I have thicket hair! Well I should more accurately say, more hair strands. I am so thankful! Oh, I use on my dogs; they shed less!
Second-​salon: Love Mark! For the first time my husband love the cut and the highlights! Mark is a true artist! For me, I ended up spending lots of money on others who were not consistent then going to get a repair job. Worth the$$$!
Third-​try Chaz’ lemonade; to die for! Chaz you really should bottle this up too! ;)

I didn’t even want to give Wen hair care products a star at all. Chaz Dean’s hair care products should be labeled «hair destroy». I had a decent amount of hair with MINIMAL fallout when shampooing and brushing. Since having used Wen products, my hair has been falling out and thinning at an unusual rate. My scalp never felt clean as there was always the product residue on my scalp.
Like another reviewer on here, I went to my doctor to find out if there was something else going on but my blood tests were normal and age was not the reason for my hair suddenly falling out more than normal.
I had been warned about these effects by several people but, foolishly, went ahead using these products for 2 months. My hair, always shiny and ends sleek, were now dry and flat looking with no sheen whatsoever.
I urge anyone considering using any Wen product to just say NO!

One word: Anna Lee (so I lied 2 words)
Anna Lee is a hair wizard. She can literally turn burnt hair into voluminous, VS quality, shiny, and swift hair.
I found her through following IMJENNIM on Instagram and Youtube. Then I so happened to follow Anna and her husband’s youtube vlogs, which led me to stalk Anna Lee’s instagram and I knew I wanted to see her.
After year of waiting for a open booking, finally got one and I immediately knew I was in good hands. She is really attentive (and I mean it), and she really understands how hair moves & what hair color matches each persons’ skin tone. She takes her TIME and truly values the each client’s opinion. She really wants to make sure that her clients leave happy.
Take it from me — I’ve been everywhere for my hair because I’m willing to drop $$$$ for my hair (which might bite me in the butt when I have to pay back my graduate school student loans…)
Been to Ramirez & Tran Salon in West Hollywood and Meche Salon in LA and I’ve never felt taken care of… but Anna literally will spend 4 – 5 hours on each of her clients to make sure their hair turns out fabulous. Her assistant is also wonderful! They are like a tag team and maneuver around the tight space from client to client.
I wish Anna had more availability because it’s hard to be flexible with her tight schedule, but she’s amazing and I’m so lucky that I can call her my hair colorist! ***5 stars for Anna

3 stars for the parking… Omg it’s a nightmare. I would suggest street parking or something because it’s really limited and tight in the lot in front of the salon. But everyone (the staff) is wonderful here and they will make you feel as comfortable and at home as possible!

I first heard about this place from my favorite YouTubers ClaireMarshall and ImJennIm – which is also the main reason why I decided to splurge and give this place a try. I specifically wanted Anna Lee Fiorino as my stylist because she does Jen and Claire’s hair (gorgeous, btw).
It’s no surprise that the wait for Anna is pretty long, I had to book a few months in advance. I had to come in earlier for a «consultation session» where Anna looks at my hair and we talk about what my hair goals were and she gives me her input. I wasn’t looking to do anything crazy so my consultation session was literally 10 minutes. The consultation fee was $ 50 but its deducted from my bill when I actually come in to do my hair. In the end we went with highlights lowlights, cut, and remoist. I was literally in the salon for 5 hours… but I really appreciate the effort Anna and her assistant Sara puts into my hair because they literally spent hours applying the hair dye pretty much in tiny strands. Anna also told me that Chaz Dean does not use bleach or any harmful ingredients in their hair products. The bill came out to be $ 650 which was waaay over what I normally pay for when I get my hair done at Toni & Guy. I really do love my hair and the service here is amazing, but I’m not sure that the $ 650 can be completely justified… but I guess it’s because Anna is such a great stylist and Chaz Dean really does use good quality hair products. Nonetheless I will definitely be coming back!

I think my expectation level when approaching hair cuts is somewhat unrealistic. I got a nice, maintainable cut from a stylist/​hairdresser that clearly knew his stuff and paid close attention to what I said I wanted and required. I guess I want some miracle worker to transform my curly mop into some fabulous flippy beautiful mane.
Until then this is a lovely salon. Even just sitting in that open clean fresh space is a treat.

I used Mark Acitelli and he was by FAR one of the hair stylist I ever used. I have curly hair and he knew exactly how to cut it to my face. And he spent 3 hours doing it! He didn’t have to, but he cared so much about me coming out looking amazing, and since then I’ve had all kinds of people stop me telling me how much they love my hair. I had a music video the next day and needed a cut, he listened, and worked with me. It felt like collaborating on a piece of art. I couldn’t recommend Mark more. He’s amazing. An artist.

it’s like a secret hideaway in the middle of hollywood. the salon and shop are beautifully designed. was offered refreshments while i waited. the staff are all friendly and nice.
but to the good stuff – had my hair cut by Anna. she’s awesome! i liked that she’s not anti-​long hair. i let her know that i wanted a few inches off, but pretty much left it to her to decide how to shape the layers. she styled my hair beautifully and it was so shiny and healthy! love my hair!

If I could give half a star, I would. I feel bad for the student that is going through their training program… he is at a loss when the staff who call themselves «colorist’s» can’t even help him get a hair color right. The worst experience I have ever had at a salon… My hair looks horrific and the management would not fix it because they do not know how. Please, save yourself 7 HOURS in a chair on the first day and 3 hours in a chair the following week… only to end up with terrible hair. What a shame, having to write a review like this. I would rather write the most amazing testimonial.
DON’T WASTE YOUR $$$! Not only do they screw up but they simply don’t know how to fix their mistakes. Who does that!!! Already made an appointment with a pro I can trust. Color correction guaranteed.

I’m a little late on my review, but it’s because I like to wait and see what my hair looks like after I’ve washed and styled it myself. Hair can be deceiving fresh out of a salon.
Shiri did an AMAZING job! Her cutting techniques are out of this world. I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve been getting on my hair since I’ve gotten it cut. I had long hair below my waist and was very hesitant towards getting it cut shorter. But Shiri assured me she could have it cut shorter to get it healthier all while still keeping volume. I’m a SUPER picky person when it comes to my hair and who cuts it.
After moving here from Canada I was very scared about finding the right stylist. But, Shiri is a total gem and I will definitely be going back.

I’ve been going to Chaz Dean studios for the last 5 years. Shiri has been my stylist of choice and she does an awesome job every time. She is so creative, thorough, listens to what I’m going for, and (like a magician) makes it a reality! She does such a great job that I won’t go to anyone else.
If you’re looking for a great men’s haircut, ask for Shiri. You won’t be disappointed.

My review is for the salon’s store. Simply because they sell what I use.
I’ve been using WEN hair care (yes, I’m A WEN girl. Alyssa Milano’s commercial converted me okay?! Have you SEEN her hair!) For about 7 months now and it’s literally to die for. I signed up online and became a member, as it lowers the overall product price by about $ 20, and you don’t have to get the kits very often (mine is set to 20 weeks right now). I found the salon via Unilocal*, and checked out the store last week because I’m getting low enough on product that I can’t don’t have time to wait to order a bottle online and wait for it to come! Yikes! So, I was overjoyed to see that they carried the full line! Including the hefty 32oz. Bottles. Unfortunately, member discounts don’t apply here, but I was all to willing to pay $ 80 for the larger bottle (its only $ 50-​something online…). The sales associate at the front was a gem, and very friendly. I forgot her name though :/​. The store has a good layout, nothing is cramped and the displays are open and organized! They carry the entire product line (including every scent of the cleansing conditoner, and the large bottles if available for that scent), including the hair styling products and the six-​thirteenth line of extra restorative cleansing/​conditioning products (^_​^). Handy because now I can just pick up little things I need without having to pay for shipping and wait a week or so! YAY!
Anywho, locating the salon itself is a little tricky because the sign isn’t very large. But the salon is gorgeous, very zen. Its a group of remodeled bungalows in the middle of this tranquil little outdoor garden. Just beautiful, and a great way to relax before being pampered right? I’m gonna have to get my hair done here next haha. The bungalows are very inviting and if you get lost, someone will help you locate where you’re trying to go and even take you there (^_​^). The only downside is the parking lot. Its a little tight so if you have a larger vehicle (I took an SUV, oops.), it’s a little tricky. Next time I’ll be taking a more compact vehicle lol: P
5 stars because I love my WEN hair care system, and because this place is just amazing! Definitely recommend trying the WEN line, especially if you’re a color chameleon like myself and constantly have 1 – 4 hair colors at a time (^_​^) helps prevent any damage, keeping my color mane healthy and beautiful!

I am basing this rating on the Hollywood Salon lack of Customer Service. Great Products and I have been using Wen on my hair for a few years now and its really great products. The problem I am having is when you call or go in the salon to purchase products or call to make an appointment with one of the Stylist the Receptionist Ladies that sits at that desk is not very Customer Service friendly at all. They are very cold and short with you. They are not very welcoming at all. CUSTOMER SERVICE is very important and I hope its gets better.
PS. Mr. Chaz Dean Love Love Love your products but please train your front desk receptionist girls to be a little bit more Customer Service friendly…
