Chesapeake Pet Resort

Been coming to chesapeake pet resort for the past five years. great folks, and they do understand if you call in often to check in on your fur babies.
My shepherd has a different diet, so now they can say they have really dealt with all kinds of diets… LOL. Also, they understand the temperment of my dog… go and check them out!!!

When I first moved up from FL I had to look for a place to leave my dog when I would travel, etc. This place was recommended to me.
I will elaborate later as to why I gave this place only 3 stars.
1. This place is great for dogs. My dog has really enjoyed playing here and the staff is very friendly. They say they are booked but I always manage to get a spot at last minute’s notice. Pick up and drop-​off is a no-​brainer, very easy. When they tell you your dog is going to be sleepy for a couple of days (due to playing so much), they really mean it.
2. One of the reasons I gave them 3 stars is b/​c the way they «charge» you for the stay; it’s by days not by nights. For instance, you drop off your pet at 9am and pick up your pet the next day, say before noon, you will get charged for two days!
When I lived in FL I had a great place I left my dog and they would charge by night rates not daily rates. To me this is unacceptable.
3. The pricing is a bit steep compared to FL. A whole $ 10/​day difference ! ($ 30 in MD and $ 20 in FL)
Overall, the place is excellent (being that it’s pretty much the only place in southern MD).
