My wife, a couple of friend and me, went to El Portal Maya yesterday for lunch for the first time and we really enjoy the excellent service and delicious food we ordered. We were greeted by Simone, who manages the place, and Alfred (her husband and one of the cooks) came twice to our table to make sure everything was to our liking. Wendy, a young, beautiful girl was our waiter who offered us an excellent service. I ordered the pork chops, my wife the carne asada and my friends the breaded chicken breast and the garlic shrimps. All delicious! Side orders of rice, red beans (smooth and tasty) fried plantains for them and tostones for me… Yummy! the best I have tasted! No frozen and re-​fried like in many other places. We washed all down with ice cold beer and finished with their mouth watering «tres leches». It was a very nice experience that we want to repeat and recommend to our friends and family. Two thumps up!
