Location closed :(…Hopefully temporary. Drove here from Miami Beach only to find out the owner is in Ethiopia with no confirmed return date.

I’ve been passing by here since they opened. At first I came later in the day when all the food was gone. I tried a few samples that were left and vowed to come earlier next time. The owner at the counter is always friendly and offers explanations about the different specialties each weekend. Once I tried it I was hooked. The Ethiopian sourdough spongy bread absorbed the sauces of the flavor fully prepared vegetable proteins. There is a variety of colors, spices, and textures that excite my palate each time. The portions are very filling. The prices could be a bit more reasonable but the food is so fresh and delicious. I only wish they had a store that was open all week long.

Well can’t review this Ethnic spot at the Yellow Green Farmers Market, wish I could. Thus I m giving them 3 since we drove all the way from Miami Beach to quench our Ethiopian food craving and had to return empty handed, since they were all out of food. Guess what, we are coming back next week. Better have some of that savory wat saved for us. … 11/01/2014 Now that we have comeback the following week, I say it was well worth both trips. We did get our fill of Injera and lentil wat and even packed quite a bit more for the rest of the week. Thank you Luwam.

Excellent food. They have many vegetarian items, and the food tastes fresh and authentic. It is definitely a must try!

You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to eat Ethiopian food. Even with all our trips to Denver we never seem to fit in any Ethiopian time and with there not being any in the S. Fl area I was beginning to think I would never get to try it. Thankfully someone(Gina maybe?) posted a link about Ethiopian food at the Yellow Green Farmer’s market and I made it the top of my priority list! After wandering around a bit in the area where lots of «restaurants» are, I gave in and asked the lady at the information booth. She pointed me in the right direction and said«follow the crowd, everyone now comes for that!». Luckily she was wrong and there was no crowd lol. Btw, if you come to Yellow Green a lot you should be familiar with the olive stand, it’s right across from it. The«restaurant» was mostly a booth, but had ample seating right across from it. The one lady working told me that she only had yellow and red lentils available, not sure if she had run out of the other stuff, but considering she had only been open for an hour I’m going to guess that was not the case. She also explained to me how to eat the food by using the injera as a dipping and spooning tool. I got to work and instantly fell in love. I’ll be honest and let you know that Steven C. was less than enamored and felt the injera was a little weird texturely for him. That was fine with me, he happily ate an Arepa from another booth and I got to work on the lentils. Since this was my first time having Ethiopian food I really can’t comment on it’s authenticity or how it compares to elsewhere. I was pleased though and enjoyed the flavors. Knocking down a star since they didn’t have the full menu available.

Had the spicy chicken stew. Amazing! Love Ethiopian food and it’s so hard to come by in South Florida, I was pleasantly surprised to find this place. So glad.
