Forgotten Saints

Cody and Ray were awesome. I had come in before and seen a jacket I liked, only for it to end up selling before I could purchase it. So Ray was awesome enough to help me build my own jacket out of a base they already had put together and cody had the rest of it completed the next day. Its pretty pricey but let’s face it, the clothing is a piece of art… Cody does jackets for Rob Zombie. Let’s just appreciate she’s taking her time to cater to the less worthy lol. Ohhh and if you really want to be a sweetheart… bring Muttley (the store bulldog) a banana… He’ll love you for it. Thanks cody and ray! We’ll see you guys again soon!

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Honestly, I’ve never been treated more poorly. I worked retail for 8 years, and I go above and beyond to show kindness and respect to sales associates. Here, it did not matter. The woman who owns the store is terrible, filled with self-​importance and demeans anyone with a question! She actually turned her back on me, sat down and began to check her email on a desktop computer – totally ignoring me as I complimented her craftsmanship and quality. Truth be told – it’s cheesy and overpriced. Not cool, not interesting and not worth buying!!! Even if I had loved the clothing, I would not have bought it after the way she treated me. Total lack of regard, completely put out. Her designs are one notch above something you’d find at Hot Topic. She should be ashamed of herself for treating customers so poorly! So, not only are her clothes awful, but her attitude and spirit are ugly as well. Don’t waste your time or money!

Sara Lou is an amazing tattoo artist. I traveled down from the bay area to LA specifically to get work done by her. Totally worth it. Don’t pay attention to any bad reviews about her. She is does amazing work for an amazing price. You can’t beat that especially considering the fact that the shop is in Hollywood. You get your money’s worth. Hit up Sara for good color work or anything else. Her portfolio is on point with a broad range of styles. She will listen to your requests and is so considerate.
Can’t wait to come back to get the rest finished!

This place is expensive witch is ok if you like to pay a lot for cheap low quality stuff, but the sells people are rule, unknowable and lie. If you are going to charge what they charge you should have knowable, friendly and truthful sells people.
You can find better stuff down the street Shrine and you will not mind paying for it.

This is probably my favorite clothing store on Melrose.
An amazing selection of designers, and one of a kind pieces. Everything from goth, to rocker, to art/​drama geek, and beyond.
Also, the selection is primarily handmade art-​pieces, not the faux-​rocker bs that all the stores are overflowing with.
I’d give it a 5, but being a guy with a 36 waist, there isn’t much in this store that would actually fit me, as they cater primarily to skinny rocker boys. They do have the occasional «regular guy» sized item, but not many.
Otherwise, it would have been a 5 all the way, because this place is exceptionally cool.

kind of a small pricey selection. however i live in connecticut and you can’t find rock n roll clothing anywhere. needless to say i stock up on skirts and such whenever i come to los angeles.

Well. I did buy a couple of items here. A belt pouch. Very cool. And a cropped jacket.
I don’t subscribe to the goth trend at all but there is a market for everything and everybody.
Wish the staff was a little more friendly.
This store has a vibe in it that makes me nervous.

This store sells unique punk/​goth/​rock style clothing for both men and women. They also sell paintings from various artists that have a dark and unique theme to it. I saw one painting that I KNOW was made by a Marilyn Manson fan as it featured the MM symbol and had Charles Manson and Marilyn Monroe in it with a baby Marilyn Manson as baby «jesus». LOL!
They also do tattoos here. The employees were nice enough and took the time to answer my question about the painting and the artist. As for the clothing, it’s expensive and the sizes look like they run small. If you’re into this type of clothing or just want something unique to wear to a club or maybe Halloween, check out this place.

On the upside, you can walk in here once and walk out with your entire Burning Man outfit. On the downside, you better bring a roll of bills, because man, this stuff ain’t cheap. Overall cool store, though.

The one star is because the clothing here is incredible.
However, the staff is NOT. A friend and I went there last weekend. Price tags are not an issue in our case and we were prepared to spend some money. Instead, we were treated so rudely by the people who worked there. They didn’t even say «hello» to us or ask if we were looking for anything. Instead we got the stare-​down while they helped an older customer in mom jeans who looked like she had never worn anything leather in her life and didn’t plan to change that.
Forgotten Saints, I might be young, but I’m rich and I’m buying everything I tried on at your store online directly from the designers just so I don’t support your business.
I advise everyone to do the same.

This place is getting 5 stars due to the fact that they carry Junker designs, and it’s pretty much impossible to find that clothing line anywhere! This store truly is for the person who enjoys the clothing of the rock and roll lifestyle. If you like the type of clothing Motley Crue and Steven Tyler from Aerosmith wears than you will definitely find what you are looking for in this store. Hot Topic mall metal kids, please stay out of this establishment!

Such a unique store… I could stand a look at the artistry alday long its incredible! It should be taken off of the once very different and great Melrose back in the day (80’s punk) now its gross down their… But this store is a have to see if you happen to be in the area. I would give anything for a peice of art from one of the artists…

I had a pair of jeans custom made from the owner. She did a great job. The store is a little more goth than I tend to be, but they design for a ton or rock and rollers. Great for the stage, pricey, but you will stand out.
I saw another post on the customer service, about how you feel like you are kind of snubbed… I totally know what that reviewer was saying. I felt that way too a little, but they kind of warm up to you after a while.
Overall great work!

I am a great fan of the strange and unusual. I loved the artwork created by various artists displayed on the walls in this interesting store. Wonderful displays of skulls, demonic faces, satanic imagery, and Anton Lavay. I am sure the artwork changes quite often. If you love a solid rock n roll wardrobe, you are going to be in rock-​n-​roll heaven here. The clothing is unique!

Ok I’m a weird girl. I do not like your normal girly stuff for Valentine’s Day like candy and flowers. I wanted to go to a goth art show. And yes we did. This review is more for the show than the store but the store looked cool. The show’s theme was forgotten saints and there was some amazing art work. It consisted all kinds of things from skulls to angels to cool statutes. They served holy water which I thought was a cool touch and even better they had an interactive confessional that you could post your confessions. That was awesome!!! I won’t say what me and my man wrote, let’s just say it involved a very naughty las vegas trip and a personal obsession. The only thing I didn’t like is the black carpet entrance. I thought it was a little over the top. I love this kind of art show and can’t wait to go to the next one!

It’s a great store, if a little hard to find. I prices are sky high, but you’ll only find this kind of fashion with hard to find designers. The stuff is designed, in the goth, lucent dossier look, leather and funky little extras that make the clothes look finished and really unique. However, despite looking really cool, the clothes are produced in Indonesia, so I doubt the overall quality in the long run. That remains to be seen. Not that you could wear the clothing out and about all the time anyway.
Most sizes are Small and Medium/​Small. Even the large sizes are on the small size so if you’re a larger guy or gal don’t even bother with this store.
Also, a word on customer service. you get the sense that you’re not really welcome — it kind of feels like you’re being sneered at the moment you walk in. As if you’re somehow in the presence of deity and don’t even know it. Maybe someone was having an off day, who knows. but customer service does amount to something in this world…

They have a lot of interesting clothing that you don’t see much. I flew down from SF to see if they had an of the skin graft designs stuff I was looking for. They did but they only had little sizes, so sadly it didn’t fit. It seemed like for the most part they only had xs s and m sizes. Maybe they just sell out the large sizes quickly. So I would have rated them higher if they would have had more sizes. Also I would have bought a ton of stuff… except it’s hard to justify paying a lot for something that is too small.

I don’t think this is the type of place I would have ever gone in on my own.
I came here for «Art Core: Honoring Metal Through Art” — an event in association with the metal awards show.
A friend of mine and amazing artist, Tom Denney, was a part of this exhibit so i went in support for him.
Me and the rest of my party didn’t realize that it was a rocker high fashion event! Complete with a black carpet (metal people’s version of the red carpet of course!) and a photographer at the entrance.
We were all surprised and a bit confused at all the glitz and glam… man, we just felt so funny and completely out of place… not to mention under dressed with all those cool types walking around.
The actual event was pretty awesome though… and the art was amazing! Everything from a sculpture of the devil’s remains… to great paintings, and even some stitched work! Pretty brutal stuff all around
Now, as far as the actual clothes go… uh… I would have to say they are way over my price range and not really my style!
But i guess they are one of a kind high fashion pieces and considered to be the crème de’ le’ crème by rockers in LA. Some were quite interesting and looked like genuine pieces of art. others just seemed like they were going for that trashy rock look.
I say whatever. I can find cheaper ways to look cool.
