This place has a long list of Greek foods. From frozen imported pies, to ingredients such as spices and authentic Greek sausage. We were happy to find this place, mainly a restaurant supplier however they will sell to the public. I found the prices to be a little expensive but not over the top.

It’s hella good. Not a big place, and definitely very industrial(duck under that big garage door to get in), this is the place to come for gyro meat and other Greek food staples. I’ve come here for so long that I remember a time when they didn’t sell tziziki(just the Greek yogurt to make your own). This week someone asked me «where can I find ajvar»(a Turkish red pepper and eggplant spread), and within days we were here loading up. Sadly I’ve found less need to come here as frequently as I used to, since costco sells very decent tziziki and spanakopita at wholesale prices, but nobody touches Hellas on the more niche items, making it very Unilocal-worthy.

Best olive oil in town! I also get their feta too.

Searching for Greek food on Unilocal I came across this place and read it to my man. Then he heard you can buy Gyro meat here –it was ON, we were on our way over. We pulled the car up-to what looks like a warehouse loading dock. When we walked inside the owner said«you know we’re not a store??» We shook our heads yes and proceeded into the store. It’s small and has imported staples on the shelves, different pita breads, oils, in the back there’s a fridge /freezer section with Feta cheeses, olives, and some really amazing Tzatziki –thick with chunks of cucumber. There’s a section with Greek statues and art Busts, someone very authentic you wouldn’t find in a grocery store. You can buy Gyro Meat frozen in a pack of a pound or a 5lb box… yep we dove straight into buying the box. I figured if the restaurants buy the Gyro meat here it must be good, and we can’t find Gyro at any Publix, so now we can enjoy it at home. Just throw it from the freezer to a frying pan a couple minutes and Delicious ready made seasoned Gyro meat! I recommend it! Hellas is a great find thank you Unilocal! If you’re looking for Greek food at home, this is the place!

Hollywood’s best kept secret… if you are a Greek Freak like myself. It’s a warehouse filled with authentic Greek goodies. I come here for Feta cheese, lamb, Olive Oil, and other random goodies. I have a field day in there. It’s not a store store, it’s hot and a warehouse. I believe that restaurants buy from Hellas.

It doesn’t get anymore authentic. In fact, you are luckily to even be able to buy directly from this place. They are a Greek food importing company that sells to restaurants and supermarkets. This is good shit. Feta Cheese from the owners home town back in Greece. Greek Beer, Olive Oil, Pita Bread, Gyro meat… I could go on. Our family favorite is to rent a China Box, and buy a whole lamb, already prepared and have a cookout. That, some Greek salad, and good crusty bread for mopping up the juices. Excuse me, I need a tissue now.

When it comes to buying Greek food to make at home, this is the only place to go. My family has been getting food from Frank(the man who owns the place) for years. I could spend hours telling you about the different foods and items they have, and how each one is great, but instead I will tell you about the two best. Their feta cheese is the best I ever had. I know people throw the word best around a lot, but I mean it, they best I ever had! He brings it over from Greece… his home town in Greece. It’s sharp, smooth and not too salty; I could try to explain but it is one of those things you have to try for yourself. The next best thing is great for parties and is a two part deal. First is that Frank will marinate a whole lamb for you. I’m not sure what he marinates it in, only that it comes out as heavenly goodness. Part 2 is the china box, it is a metal lined wooden box he rents that you put char coal on top of. 3 hours later you have a wonderfully cooked lamb that can feed a big group.
