«Sales» agent gives over phone quotes. Says he know by size of house being moved. Our $ 3,000. job ended up $ 9,000. after the movers loaded and threatened to hold my things hostage if I didn’t authorize.(Low ball quotes = signed contract– right?) I was on my way to SC from Ca. and left the key with neighbor as movers were two days later than supposed to be. I believe it was all planned. Movers were KLM van lines. Delivery men were from Russia. No speak english. Delivered late also. Tried to dispute with Master Card but all KLM had to do was send copy of authorization I had to stop on the road to a Staples to sign for them to not hold my things at $ 150. per day. I have sent a complaint to the Dept. of Consumer Affairs. Still not heard back more than three months later except an e– mail with” tips for not getting ripped off” I doubt I’ll hear any more. I don’t even know why we have all these departments in the USA as they seem to do nothing judging by how many Unilocal bads I see. Does Unilocal have a NO STAR area. Dealt with SAVANNAH Van lines. I guess its all the same rip off company

State to state van lines (DOT 2 411 692 /​MC 829 982) appears to have subcontracted my move to this company since all my invoices have its Hollywood Florida contact info. I hired state to state movers for a move from Florida to California. The initial experience was wonderful, will Harris was my relocation consultant and he was a dream to deal with. Receiving our furniture, however, was a nightmare that still is not over. We were given less than 24-​hours notice that they would arrive at our apartment, most of our boxes were damp, and it was quite evident no care was taken when handling our stuff because even boxes labeled «fragile» were crumpled. The movers broke my desk, assembled it backwards, and did not assemble our shelving units, and in fact left the support brackets on their van. They also left with some of our furniture still in the truck, including one piece that we saw unloaded, but for some reason they reloaded it back in their van! We called the driver of the van so we could have them bring back our items, and the response was «we have a job in San Francisco we will bring it back tomorrow» two months later, we still do not have three pieces of furniture, one of which is a very precious heirloom. I have called and emailed state to state movers and have not been able to speak with any customer support willing to help recover our furniture. it is very frustrating that state to state movers’ service is so poor, because they come off as a great company when you initially call them for a quote. I am very, very disappointed.

If I could give these guys a NO STAR, I WOULD! The worst moving company ever and we have moved all over the U.S. so we would know. We unfortunately did not look at any reviews until it was after this move was booked, had we looked we would have went with another company. The original person we spoke to, Stacy, who we never spoke to again after the quote, guaranteed 3 movers for a one bedroom apartment, guaranteed (we paid for the «white glove service») that they would take a part our furniture and put it back together (which my husband ended up doing), guaranteed we would get our furniture within 12 business days, basically made promises of a wonderful service which did not happen, matter of fact my husband and I had to help them wrap our stuff because if we didn’t, they would have taken 8 hours to move us. We never spoke to her again, every time we called to inquire about our stuff, we spoke to a rude woman named Mya, who was not helpful what so ever. We called to see where our stuff was as we knew it would not get here in the 12 day time frame (it was day 10 and we didn’t hear a peep from them), and she gave us the number to the driver and informed us we can call them ourselves. When asked to speak to a manager she told us that she would have to leave a message for them as there was no way she can directly put us through to them. MYA IS SERIOUSLY A WENCH. We got CHARGED for going over our square footage in the truck when we had LESS BOXES AND ITEMS then what we originally had told the company during the quote. The TWO movers on arrival day took over 5 hours to get our stuff loaded (we lived in a small one bedroom apartment, and we did NOT have a lot of stuff), this caused us to miss our flight since we hit traffic going out of Miami Beach. When the movers arrived here to our destination, thankfully it was a different crew and there were 3 guys. Some things I noticed: they took a part our coffee table at some point after they loaded our furniture in the truck, and lost the bolts and they USED our Dyson Animal vacuum and on top of it, broke the handle. Considering the other reviews, I felt as though that was definitely the least of our concerns, we got our stuff, it made it, 15 days later. If the Dyson was completely broken, all hell would have broke lose but it is functional. Considering we paid 4K for this move, it is very disappointing the lack of care by their «customer service people», Mya was of no help. Also look at their reviews on the Better Business Bureau, they are beyond horrible. How this company is still in business astounds me.

This is a broker company. They lie when asked this question outright. They were late when delivering our items, but because their contract basically covers them for everything under the sun, there is no way to be compensated for the late delivery. When trying to get status updates on our items, the staff were often rude and never gave a straight answer. I would avoid at all costs.

I am not sure how it happened that I hired them, they must have had some good reviews somewhere and thank god they didn’t actually pick up my items because the stories I am hearing now are so awful. Here is my story, please don’t let this happen to you.
I received a call from the dispatcher the day before they were supposed to come. They said they were slotted for the next day and that they would be there between 1−4pm (it may have been 2−5pm. not sure) They actually arrived at 5pm and the only reason I knew that is because I was standing outside waiting for them and heard their truck at the end of our driveway. I sent jo down there to talk to them to see why they weren’t coming down. He got to the end and the ‘Shuttle” they sent was a 26′ truck, which is much larger than I thought it would be. Either way, it didn’t matter because we had already told them all about our driveway, we told them it was ¼ of a mile long, we told them it was mostly a dirt road, we told them there was a very short bridge, and we had told them we had, had large trailers and earth moving equipment up there (which we did). Furthermore, I was told that regardless of the situation they (the drivers) would «figure it out».
Jo (my boyfriend) asked the guy what the problem was, the driver refused to come up the driveway. He said he wasn’t going to ruin his truck, he said that nobody had told him about our driveway. His passenger or helper was laughing at the situation and making fun of Jo which wasn’t helping the situation. The driver then made several comments about how interstate movers was scamming us, he told us he looked at the inventory list and they were going to charge us $ 5000 when our original quote was much less than that. Jo was absolutely furious that this guy was saying these things and treating us the way he was. He came back up to our house and told me what was going on, my worst fears were coming true. I Immediately called the customer service department that I had been calling all along and got a message that they were closed. I kept calling back pressing any number I could, I finally got someone on the phone and they told me that there was nothing they could do to help me, I asked to speak to a manager and she transferred me to a voicemail that hung up on me. I tried to call back as many times as I could and had no luck. I started trying to call the dispatcher and just got an answering machine… the last time I left a message they called me back the following day so I didn’t have much hope. I didn’t know what else to do, I was hysterical.
Jo and I checked outside and the truck was gone. So now I couldn’t get a hold of anyone and the truck was gone. We were supposed to be leaving to california in 3 days and had no idea how our stuff was going to get moved now. I believe I called the bank and cancelled my card so that if they tried to charge me they couldn’t, because I just had no idea of what else to do. After the experience with the driver, customer service hanging up on me and the truck disappearing I decided it was best to look into other options because we had to be out of our place. I emailed sarah one last time and told her I didn’t know what else to do but look into another option and that I wanted my deposit back because they didn’t even come up my driveway.
The next day I tried to call customer service, they wouldn’t take my calls, couldn’t get someone on the phone etc. Everytime I asked to speak to a manager they sent me to an automated menu about filing claims against them. Needless to say I had really no options so I gave up. I needed a new solution so we booked a pod which cost about $ 800 more and ALOT more legwork but it was what we could afford and what we went with. I didn’t receive a call from the dispatcher until the following afternoon/​evening and they just didn’t even know what was going on. They asked if we wanted to cancel the service and Jo informed them that they cancelled the service when the truck refused to come up our driveway, threatened us, and then left. So they hung up and never called again.
Since that day I have not tried to call or email them since I really had no luck. No one has tried to reach me or email me. I filed a fraud claim with our bank to try to get our deposit back but they said that because there is a contract they can’t get it back.

We finally received our belongings on Wednesday, 9÷16÷15. They were delivered by a company called American Movers with about 4 hours notice. While the driver and crew were very fast and helpful our belongings are a total mess. Our furniture all smells like mildew and is completely dirty, even being in plastic. Our boxes are totally destroyed with lots of broken stuff in them. Our washing machine is completely damaged beyond repair and the box spring to our master bed is missing. No one has any idea where the box spring is. Lastly I am so worn out with dealing with this company that I am hesitant to file a claim on our items. It’s probably not even worth having to speak to them one more time since they have been so condescending and completely misleading. I’m going to file a complaint with the DOT but will most likely wash my hands of this after. Good luck to anyone else who is struggling right now.

This company doesn’t deserve a star. The show up and then after the start loading want twice as much to move you, knowing the have you. At picking up and delivery they use lumpers who have no knowledge of how to handle furniture. At delivery major damage. Plus t v, tools and others items lost. They get you to sign for the release value of 60 cents a lb, because the driver tells you st pick up how much more you have to pay if you want full vslue. Of course you don’t think they are going to destroy your property. We had to buy and repair furniture. Spent over $ 4,000 and after 90 days they insult us with an offer of $ 64. Never use this company. This is a scam and a high pressure sales tattic.

I give this company zero stars. I wish I had seen these reviews before I used this company. I moved from TN to AZ on June 29, 2015. The company was suppose to pick up my stuff between June 26– June 28. I get a call and I was told if I could change my date for pick up to June 29 because one of the movers couldn’t get a babysitter for his kid, or if not they would be there at 10 pm. So of I said sure cause I did not want to be moving at 10 pm at night. So they came at 6;30 am Mon. and started moving well right off they broke the leg off my couch, and they tried to take apart an very old metal cabinet which I knew they could take apart cause the paint has sealed all the screws. I am wondering what this looks like now. So every thing is moved and I told them they could drop my stuff off on July 2 cause it was a two day drive for me, well that has not happen. The company was suppose to deliver on July 2, 2015, here it is August 4, 2015 and I still do not have my things. I call the company multiple time they say my stuff is in Kentucky but I have no idea where in Kentucky. Supposedly the customer service department can only email the dispatcher manager and the dispatcher manager is to lazy to respond, cause I never get a reply. The only thing I know is that since my load wasn’t a full load and they currently do not have anyone coming this way they will hang on to my stuff until they get the full load. Oh yea I get compensated for my time let see it may be 9.00 a day or maybe 25.00 a day that my stuff isn’t here. Honestly that little amount doesn’t mean a hill of beans to me cause having only a few clothes i brought with me in my car and a few things I brought this company is horrible.
I have filed a report with BBB and the company but nothing has happen. It has been 24 business days and 32 regular day. No one is helpful in this company and honestly NO ONE CARES in this company.

I too have been waiting for my things and today is day 27. I was told last week my things were loaded on the 21^st and actually spoke to the driver. He told me 4 – 5 days. I called the driver today (6 days later) and he did not have my delivery. Apparently my things did not get on the truck because there wasn’t enough room!
In addition I had my scheduled date for pick and waited all day and they never showed. After many phone calls the next day they finally showed that evening for my pick-​up. And of course I too was charged more then my estimate
Keeping fingers crossed I see my belongings soon

Well it’s been 27 days since they loaded up my belongings and we still have not received it. I get absolutely no answers when I call no matter what questions I ask. I threatened to bring the sheriff and they still will not tell me the location of my property. They just keep telling me they have more days to deliver. I have filed a complaint with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration — next step is contacting the Attorney General if I do not have my furniture next week.
07/27/15:Well if all goes well our stuff should finally arrive today. They called last night and said it is scheduled to be delivered between 10am-​Noon today. Praying!
Got it today and appears to be all in tact.

I was moving from Athens, GA to Jersey City, NJ. They made my move one of the worst nightmares
1. They initially provided a quote for 1400 lbs and mentioned that I can add additional bags for up to 1400 lbs at same quote price. But on the day of pickup, I was charged $ 63 extra for an additional bag which was just plastic bag having a pillow, blanket & back pack.
2. They delayed my delivery by 20 days after pickup & top of that they have no idea where my shipment was when I called the dispatch team. They were clueless when it would be delivered.
3. They scheduled my delivery on Sunday at 9:30 PM. I think there couldn’t be any better time to deliver it
4. On delivery, my bookshelf was broken, office chair was broken and some parts of my table were missing. They dismantled those table parts by themselves without letting me know. On the top of that my plastic bag for which they charged $ 63 extra was missing.
5. Claims process was horrible asking for all the purchase receipts of all items, colored photographs on paper to be mailed. Who keeps the purchase receipts of blanket or pillow or the items gifted to you. What about the table parts they dismantled themselves. How to value all these items!
Please NEVER use Intestate Movers for your move. They’ll give you the worst nightmare during your move.

I really happy I looked up this company on here. My wife spoke to someone who was very friendly and helpful. The quote we received was about $ 2000 (NC to California). Alk the other quotes were already $ 4000 so I was already thinking it was to good to be true. The weird thing about the company though was when my wife called back about our quote, the same guy said he was leaving the company that day and they were throwing him a going away party and we would have to deal with someone else. Looks like we will pay the extra money. Thanks for all the reviews, I hope everyone gets the things!

I would like to give them negative stars. This company advertises under the name «Top Movers Inc.»
The sales associate, Anthony, will tell you a bunch of lies about how you are going to get your stuff within 2 – 3 days of pickup. He claims they are, «not like the other moving companies that will hold onto your stuff for 21 days.» I was called the day before my SCHEDULED pickup saying I would have to have my stuff picked up in an hour or they can’t make the promised delivery.
Since then, I have NOT received my items. I am now 4 days passed the promised delivery date. Each day I call to confirm they are coming, I am told «2 more days.» Well, you guess it, today I was told 2 more days again.
Customer service is a joke. John Miller told me yesterday that he would ensure that someone contacted me today, which of course did not happen. When I finally got ahold of him today, he told me that he can’t do anything because I am still within the 21 days. I said that Anthony gave me a verbal contract with a different time line. He replied, «verbal contracts don’t hold up in court. You and I both know that.»
The driver tells me that they call him daily and put other jobs in front of mine. He has to follow what his boss tells him of course.
I didn’t realize this company was really under Interstate Movers since they advertise as Top Movers Inc. I hope this review will prevent someone from hiring them when they search for the company name!
Now reading the other reviews, I don’t know when I will really get my delivery. In addition, I am now worried that everything will be broken.

This company is a joke. I have moved with the Military 3 times and have never had any issues. I used this company for my first move as a civilian and they completely destroyed my trust in using someone else to move my belongings. initially they were really nice and helpfull. the price was amazing. initial quote (and I even over estimated) was around 1900.00. Thats going from a 2 bedroom apartment in Virginia to a 2 bedroom apartment in Dallas, TX. What I ended up paying at pick up was 3500.00. i didnt get my items for a month and then i was hit with a charge to use an elevator. WTF, i should just make them take the stairs to the 4^th floor. of course when you call them to find out where your stuff is they have a pre written excuse. This business needs to be shut down.

So this is really one company, under assumed names, providing uniformly bad and, in my opinion, fraudulent moving services (or not providing them at all). Below is a repeat of my post on the All Usa Van Line Unilocal listing. ALL DISGRUNTLED CUSTOMERS OF THESE FRAUDULENT COMPANIES UNITE AND TAKE ACTION!
My daughter recently graduated from college and used this company to move her belongings from Savannah, GA to Portland, OR. The pick-​up was on 7÷2÷2014. Delivery was to be within 21 business days or by 8÷1÷2014. As of this late date, she still has not had her belongings delivered, nor has she been given any idea of if or when that will happen. Customer service is non-​existent, and given the number of other people complaining on this site, this appears to be standard operating procedure for this company.
Important! This company is a «doing business as» company, i.e., it is not itself a legal entity. The true owner is Top Moving Services, Inc., a California company, whose name appears nowhere on any paperwork my daughter received. Additionally, another company, Interstate Movers, which is who she originally contacted (the broker, I guess) is another d/​b/​a also owned by Top Moving Services, Inc. This information is from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Interestingly, as of this date, FMCSA shows that All Usa Van Lines has «no current for-​hire operating authority» with FMCSA.
Everyone who has had a bad experience with All Usa Van Lines/​Interstate Movers/​Top Moving Services, Inc. or any apparently related company needs to file formal complaints with FMCSA, the BBB, and the attorney generals of the state of California and Florida. We intend to do so.
I find it very interesting that the Bill of Lading (contract) from All Usa Van Lines includes a provision whereby the shipper waives any right to file a class action law suit against it. It certainly sounds like this company engages in a pattern and practice of fraudulent activity which is affecting a substantial number of its customers; otherwise, why include such a clause???

DO NOT USE INTERSTATE MOVERS. These scumbags do everything possible to rip you off!!! They picked up my daughters college stuff on a Sunday and it was supposed to be delivered to her apartment the next Tuesday. (So over a week) I planned a trip down to Florida to help her move her stuff in and they told me that the furniture had not even left MD yet!!! They said they were going to deliver it the next week. Which was upsetting because my daughter was going to be left alone in her apartment with no furniture. Then they said that they could only deliver on a weekend. They excluded it from the contract even though I made this perfectly clear that this is against the rules. They are trying to charge me an extra 250 $ to deliver it on a Monday. This is ridiculous and one of the worst businesses I have had to deal with. RUNNNN AWAY

Horrible!!! Holly at this company was oh so helpful when trying to book this job and take our money and then once the movers came I never was able to find this girl again. I contacted them so many times and they don’t answer a single email
Or call! They lied on our quote, they are brokers and said they aren’t, they used all USA van line which is horrible nightmare and still a month later no furniture!!! I feel so robbed and violated. These companies need to be shut down!!! I am horrified they have my special belongings for my baby and her bed and clothing, our pictures and everything we own and we are at the mercy of this horrible company. They lowballed our estimate and then piled on thousands at our house on the day of pick up. The very creapy lead guy extorted cash to pay laborers off the books who were likely illegals.
Once they had our property, they demanded very high storage fees over $ 500/​month… Or else. They just delivered, several weeks late on a couple of hours notice phone call. They broke so many items, I cannot list them all here.
AVOID like the PLAGUE!

If I could give them less than one star, I would. I am absolutely DISGUSTED by their lax attitude regarding MY POSSESSIONS. They’ve had my things for over a month and they’re only suggestion is «file a claim.» They have my infant sons crib, and he is sleeping in a Pack N Play because they are PLAYING WITH OUR LIVES. The «movers» were rude and unprofessional, and they actually had the GALL TO RUSH US and a month laterTHERE MY THINGS SIT. Their company is a FRIGGIN JOKE. I am BEYOND LIVID. I could’ve moved everything in my small sedan piece by piece faster. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Poor excuse for movers. Lied and said they were movers not brokers. Would not refund deposit after changing move dates several times and would not answer calls or emails. Customer service very poor and quite frankly a joke. Watch out for them. Name of consultant is Adam Cameron! Would not give me owners name of company! Does not deserve even the 1 star review!
