**BEWARE** RENTATYOUROWNRISK This use to be a decent building to live in. Moderate rent, good management company, no real amenities but it was clean. The walls are thin but you get what you pay for. Recently, they’ve changed management companies to SD Property Management and the rent is being raised by 50%. 1425 $ for one-bedroom with several problems. Here they are: –VERYBIG– firehouse half a block away. Half of the building wakes up at crazy hours whenever there is a call.(already had several people move) –No building manager –we had a leak in our garage for DAYS. Currently, I’m having some serious issues and they are not being tended to. —NOCONTACTNUMBERINCASEOFEMERGENCIES –Not everyone has parking but we all pay the same –walls are paper thin — hopefully you’re cool with hearing your neighbor’s TV or them having sex. –key entry to the elevator which is a nightmare –had a homeless guy get into the building but the cops couldn’t get up to the 3rd floor where the incident was. Yea, real safe. —often you’ll have to drive to fedex to pick up packages –711 across the street where there are a ton of fights. Not the safest area late at night(especially if you’re a girl who doesn’t have parking in the building) With the huge rent increase, there’s no amenities, no incentives. Nothing. No gym, pool, in-apt laundry, nothing. If you’re going to spend that kind of money, you might as well get something for it.
