John Williams Park

This is a cute little park right off of a busy road. There are plenty of trees for shade and a couple of pavilions with picnic benches. There is a walking trail which is quite pleasant. The reason I came here was for their dog park. There is a large enclosed area for all dogs. In that area is a smaller enclosure specifically for small dogs. The main area has two pools and a hose. One thing that would be an improvement would be a drinking fountain for the dogs.
There is a small enclosed playground area for kids and there were plenty of kids playing.
I noticed a wooded area with labeled trees and plants that was gated off. This is the second part of the park. I did not venture here.
Maybe I will come back sometime and explore further.

The dog park here is decent– there’s a gated area for the big dogs and a tiny area inside for the small dogs. Usually there’s only one or two other people here (or more often none) so I always let my little ones play on the main area plus the big dogs have always been really friendly and chill.
It’s surrounded by the forest— lots and lots of trees here, which is nice because you get to see a lot of squirrels and birds. The only bad thing is that I always tend to get bit by ants or bugs– whether it’s sitting on the benches or ants just dropping from the trees.
There’s a water hose and a couple of plastic pools in case your pets want to splash around and cool off. They need to maintain it better because there’s a destroyed pool just laying around that no one has bothered to throw away. Besides the gated dog park, there’s also picnic tables, playground areas, and a trail to walk around.

Nice and calm park. Love to be around trees! :) perfect for big and small dogs. Bring your chair.
