Kid Cadoodles Childcare and Preschool

Beware!!! This school is very expensive and their policies are ridiculous! Hope your kids like Cuban food because that is what they serve everyday. If your child has never ate Cuban food well expect horrible diarrhea. God forbid your child gets sick they will call you and try to persuade you to bring them in regardless of being sick. The children ratio is 6 1year olds to 1 teacher but they have 12 1years old together with 2 teachers which can cause chaos, injury, and can be very dangerous. You would think that an expensive daycare $ 140 registration and $ 185 weekly that they would be very compassionate and caring but they are NOT. They aren’t concerned about the well being of your child, all they care about is money. Stay away you can find a better priced daycare with smaller classes and your child will receive better care then this place!!!

We did not enroll our infant here, so I’m not rating off of experience with my child as being a part of this program, but rather as a parent who interviewed staff to see if this was the right fit. Hope this review helps other parents in search of a daycare:
Infants: ratio is 4:1, total group size of 16 babies and 4 staff.
Observations during walk through: The infant room seemed dirty; either the floors were not clean or they were old and stained. The babies did not seem too happy (Only a few of the staff were smiling), and many were placed in a chair or standing in their crib not active in play or any developmental activity. about 5 babies were in the playpen at a time. The playpen is small considering there is a lot of space in the baby room, but the rest of the space is filled up with swings, jumpers, chairs (to hold babies which were not playing with toys or interacting at the time). My husband noticed many bottles of milk left outside of the fridge as well, which we thought should be stored in the fridge. There wasn’t a separate quiet area for the cribs, and the room is pretty noisy. We did like the outside area, but that is for older children anyway. We also liked that each room had a large observation window.
A few of the questions asked and responses:
Q: How does staff interact with infants? Are they held? A: We do not believe in holding the babies unless they cry because we don’t want you to take them home and have the baby wanting to be carried all the time. (Red flag for us, it is vital for babies to interact and be held/​cared for in this early stage for development.)
Q: What about tummy time? A: We do give that time to the babies.
Q: What’s the caregivers educational background? Did they go to school for early childhood education? A: They are certified caregivers, they also take a test in order to work here. They do not have a college level educational background in childhood education in the US, but some received them in Cuba.
Q: What are the times you let parents come in? A: We don’t like parents to come in and see the children during the day, because that will just make the babies cry when they leave. (A few day cares we visited have this same philosophy but we believe that an open door policy would be best of us and our child.)
Q: Do you have security cameras? A: We do not at the moment, but are planning on installing them in 2 weeks. The cameras are for the director to view the rooms.
Q: Do you have any references we can call (past and present parents)? A: No we do not provide references.
Q: Do you have the latest inspection report from Broward County readily available for us to view? A: No we do not provide that information.
Overall, we were a bit turned off by the infant care in this program. I was first excited to visit because of high reviews online, but then realized that the reviews are not recent. We were also informed that Kid Cadoodles recently changed management in January 2015. Answers to our questions were vague at times. My husband and I honestly didn’t have too many positive aspects to the infant care in Kid Cadoodles. However, I encourage you parents to visit day cares and judge for your selves.

The new kid Cadoodles are not considerate at all. I took my 8months baby here and I am a first time mother I did not know I have to and must bring my records of the baby shots. So the old owners where more Leniate … I bring in the records exactly 2 days later. New owners tell me your son keeps getting sick we cannot have him here if he continues being sick. Well first of all they shouldn’t allow babies in while they are sick that’s why my son got sick, I saw alot of babies sick sneezing on my son foot. They feed your baby all tour baby jar food mix in 1 bowl so they can hurry and attend other babies. I don’t find that okay what’s so ever. I want my son to enjoy his peas and brown rice and then enjoy his fruits apples and blue berry. When I found out. I have came into the daycare early and saw this incident. I directly informed them no! Don’t let this happen. Give him his jar food individually. As I take my son to the car he vomits so much in the car. I shit you not it looks like a scene from the exorcist! ! So over all this daycare for babies is a no go. I informed them my son will have to be out of day care for a month to finish his anti biotic from being extremely sick so much and to do a quick visit to grandparents from new York for only a week. They said you will have to pay registration fee again and who knows if we have a space available. Reminder my son is only in this daycare 2x a week all this for what!?? Alot of money is being spent for do decency

Worst preschool in Hollywood! They don’t follow basic regulations like ratios or curriculum. They don’t even follow a proper curriculum. The VPK class is often out of ratio leaving one teacher with 20 kids. The owner doesn’t have knowledge of Florida regulations so the preschool is mismanaged and the kids are the ones that suffer. Don’t waste your time going there. The building is pretty and fairly new but the teaching is mediocre.

I do not recommend Kid Cadoodles Academy. We were promised a safe facility for our child, and from day one we learned Kid Cadoodles Academy does not care about the safety and well being of the children. I was told there is always someone at the front desk and everyone who enters the facility is checked in. I was also told there was only one exit to the outside, besides the fire exits on the playground. On my child’s very first day there was no one at the front desk and we were let in by another parent. We soon learned this is how it goes almost every morning, afternoon and evening there.
Thoughtless parents hold the door open to one another, and of course there is no staff at the front desk to verify if those being let in belong there or not. I was also shocked to see there is a second exit to the street. A side door in the front classroom that leads right to the parking lot! People were coming in and out, not being checked in and not being recorded by the cameras.
We gave Kid Cadoodles Academy a shot for a few weeks after speaking to the director who promised this lapse in security was rare and all of our concerns would be addressed with the staff, and corrected. As the days went on we found there was consistently no security at the front. The flimsy french door is locked from the outside but unlocked from the inside. Any child old enough to walk and pull a door handle could easily get out. The teachers seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. And the support staff came across as down right rude. My child was never happy or comfortable there, which is out of character. As far as we observed, the children are just placed in front of the television with no stimulation all afternoon. Also the overall condition of the school is not exactly sanitary. It is a relatively new facility and looks clean upon first look, but once you are there for a while you can see it is not a healthy environment.
I finally pulled my child out of the school the day I was let in by another parent, there was no staff at the front desk and my young toddler came around the corner towards the front door alone, completely unsupervised. Thankfully it was me who was let into the building at that particular moment and not someone who did not belong there, or even no one at all. My child could have been out in the street alone long before the teacher even noticed. I actually waited a minute or two before walking back to the classroom, before the teacher even noticed my child was missing. Anyone with children knows, even just a minute or two can mean life or death.
In short, this is not a safe and secure environment for children. If you are considering using Kid Cadoodles Academy for your child care, I recommend from our bad experience you look elsewhere.
