Wonderful little Shoppe! My husband is from Michigan and says this is the real deal. Great fudge and treats. My kids got ice cream cones in m&m waffle cones and they were humongous! They couldn’t even finish the whole thing. The only complaint was the waffle cones were stale and not crunchy, and it’s a little pricey. They even have TY stuffed animals for the kids. Will be back!

Nice ice cream parlor! The service was great, it was recommended that I try a few of the flavors which were all great and creamy but I went with the Hard Rock Mud

The most amazing ice cream ever. The chocolate peanut butter was amazing. It had smooth chunks of peanut butter in it. The fudge and chocolate selection was also very tempting. This place is a bit pricy though. My small cup of ice cream with sprinkles, one chocolate covered s’more, and a small piece of fudge cost me $ 12.

I love Kilwans and this location was no different. Butter Pecan and Vanilla cone filled my sweet tooth craving.

Yum! This place is great. It’s a small chocolate and ice cream shop. There’s something for everyone. They sell chocolate by the pound, so we chose a few pieces and got some ice cream to try out. I had the salted caramel and it was fantastic. I’m not usually a salted caramel fan, but after trying a sample I was hooked. Just enough sweetness and salt. They have some fun flavors, and let me try a bunch of them. Great place to stop by for a treat.

Too many choices!!! Too many! I was like a kid in a candy shop, literally! This is inside the Hard Rock Casino, which is NOT very clear on the description. I was staying at a friend’s place and we craved dessert late in the night. So here we were, going through the casino at 2 am at night to get some dessert. Got a candied apple, and also got some pecan chocolate brittle. It was a nice experience overall.

Few things get a 5 star rating from this guy, but Kilwins always does. Kilwins is a specialty chocolate shop with roots in northern Michigan. Don and Kathy Kilwin started the company some time ago and later sold it. New ownership later grew the company with franchises in many states, sprawling from Michigan to Florida and out west to Colorado. Specialty ice cream and chocolates and all so delicious. Try them all! Their specialty is Mackinac Island(Michigan) fudge, which are offered in several flavors.(Tip: Fudge is not chocolate so don’t eat large quantity of fudge in a single sitting or you’ll be sitting elsewhere with a rumbly in the tummy). Many Kilwin stores create some of their delectable chocolate products in store. You can watch them in action making in-house fudge or other treats. NOTE: Ever want to know what’s made in-house and what is shipped in? Just search on products for the Kilwins label. If it lists an address for that local store, then it was likely made there. If the Kilwins label lists a city of «Petoskey, Michigan» then it was likely shipped in — but still delicious. Just know Kilwins chocolate is a little more expensive than your ordinary Hershey bar — but the quality is so much greater and well worth it!

The humanity of south Florida was going to kill us. Summer is over and no one ever tells south Florida. Bar hopping around Hard Rock trying to figure out what place we want to plate our feet. Whatever place had the best A/C was going to win. Out of nowhere my brother’s fiancé starts talking about ice cream. It’s almost midnight — where are we gonna get ice cream? Like a mirage we see Kilwins. Barely any staff on a Friday night. One dude manning the fudge area on the right. And other manning ice cream straight a head even though a pretty nice line is forming out the door. I head over to fudge area just to get into the door. Just what I expected. A bunch of confused people clustered in the store that can’t decide what flavor they want. I get to the front and try to talk my brother into the salted caramel. No go for him since he doesn’t like sweets :-/and his fiancé that dragged us in here only wanted old fashion vanialla with strawberries. TF? That’s like going to a buffet and only getting a salad! I sampled the Cappuccino Chocolate Chip and my standard Toasted Coconut. Something was off with the coconut so I passed on that. I oooed and aawwed so much I forgot to get a waffle cone. But there was enough ice cream and fudge in that place to put you in a coma! It was awesome!!! And a/c was on full blast.

In general, I love the ice cream at any Kilwins location. It’s super creamy and their flavors are on point. My favorite is the Banana Fudge Pie, but the Salted Caramel and New Orleans Pecan Praline are also outrageously good(although the Salted Caramel is sometimes too sweet for my taste). This particular location can get crowded on weekend nights, which can be a pain if you’re in a rush. I’m not too well versed in their fudges and other chocolate treats, but if you’re looking for good ice cream, Kilwins always hits the spot! The only con is that their smallest portion(1 scoop) is a bit expensive. But it’s a very large scoop — enough to split between two people — so I don’t mind it that much.

Expensive but soooo worth it, Their chocolates are rich ad creamy. They melt and your mouth mmh. The ice cream is also really good. My brother had the salted caramel milkshake it it was to die for. They let you sample a lot of flavors before you have to decide. They are also open late.

With the Hard Rock having taken a huge hit to the rest of the Fort Lauderdale nightlife locations, it is only natural that Kilwins(a mainstay on Las Olas) follows suit like the others, with a location now at the Hard Rock. The location features an assortment of ice cream, a wide array of fruits, cookies, and salty snacks dipped in chocolate, and a selection of fudges. The fudges are not fudge brownies, but just pure fudge. So be prepared as the fudge is super dense, super sugary and sweet, and intensely rich — a little too much so for my taste buds but I can understand others will really like it. The reason this place gets a third star for me is the smell. When you open the door, the climate control kicks in and pumps the smell of the confections all over you, making you want to buy something.
