Dr. Mandel did an excellent job on my husbands sinuplasty however my complaint is not with him but with his billing department. Before my husbands surgery we were told that his surgery would be covered 100%. I asked twice to double check and the billing coordinator confirmed with no hesitation that we were covered. Four days prior to the surgery we got a call from the outpatient center to notify us that there would be a $ 565 copay. That was a bit shocking but we continued since we knew that is probably a small amount in comparison to what the surgery had actually cost. Two months later I started getting several bills from the surgery that amounted to $ 900. I called Dr. Mandel and their office manager Charlotte claimed it was my insurance that mislead them. My insurance confirmed that they never reviewed my benefits. I was beyond upset and called to speak with the manager again who has yet to return my calls. I was than passed on to their billing coordinator Sandy who was unsympathetic. No one from the office wants to take responsibility for misleading me nor do they care to at least offer a kind word! They were kind in the beginning and quick to take my money! Check other people have made complaints about their billing department. Lesson learned… call your insurance for benefits and dont have faith that the billing coordinator is there to assist you.

Such a great doctor with a great staff as well. I have been suffering with sinus and Allergy issues for so long and after seeing Dr. Mandel, I finally have tremendous relief. The staff is very accommodating when ever I need anything or when ever I need to be seen.
