Chris did a fantastic job at a fair price and it was super fast!!! He broke down exactly what he was doing and explained what each thing would cost. We are so relieved that we found him and the store, we will be doing our shopping here from now on for all our Mac needs. We are so grateful!!!

I can not recommend this place enough! Do not waste your time going to the Genius Bar at Apple (which really should be called the Idiot Bar because they don’t have a clue about how to fix most problems with computers or phones) Ray and Josh were so helpful and straight forward about my options when I was dealing with a dying/​damaged hard drive on my macbook pro. They really know a lot about these devices and do everything they can to fix the issues at hand. Their prices can’t be beat and they won’t try to screw you over like a lot of other places do. They are so hospitable and personable to their customers and you can tell they really value good customer relations. A+

I had a broken MacBook Pro screen and came to this shop. All I had to do was drop off my computer and go out to eat some lunch or walk around. After a half hour of walking around, I returned to find that my MacBook pro was completely fixed with no problems at all. The service here is fast and effective and would recommend going here for any Apple problems.

Never go to Apple Support again. Those guys pale in comparison to the TLC and smarts Mac Pro-​LA can offer. They provide mom-n’-pop service with incredible affordability, efficiency, kindness and generosity. I would gush further but I’m too busy enjoying the repairs to my laptop.

Ray and his team are THE BEST IN TOWN. Great values and personal service that is far and above any retail Mac store. They have sold me several desktop Macs and repaired a hard drive and several MacBooks. The Ritz Carlton of computer service.

They were the worst service ever the guy told me that I was wasting his time by him checking out what was wrong with my computer period I brought him a brand-​new computer and a brand-​new hard drive and all of a sudden they both don’t work after they and opened it? It’s like they did something wrong and try to blame it on me. First line of guilt is to be defensive and that’s how they came off how could a brand-​new hard drive shipped from Amazon not work at all and then the hard drive I had in my computer and all of a sudden doesn’t work as well. They messed up my computer and then they tried on muscle me out of the store these guys are very unprofessional do not use them the worst service ever

Incredibly helpful! Two amazing deals on MacBook pros. They helped me make sure I bought the right computers for my needs, and sold them to me for hundreds less than refurbished Mac’s online. After buying two computers at two separate occasions I’ve saved roughly $ 800. This is my go to for everything Mac! Ramzan was very patient and took the time to really ensure I had everything I needed.

Mr. Chris helped me out right away with an issue I freaked out about regarding my Mac book pro-​a crashed logic board, well first of all he gave me a nice price break and he fixed my board the same day and upgraded my ram because he said it was running too slow. A very nice comfortable store front, and impeccable customer service. I would highly recommend anyone to this establishment. We’ll done Chris well done.

Five star reviews always make me suspicious so I’m surprised to find myself writing one. But these guys are good. My wife smashed her iPhone 6 Plus screen — not just the top glass, right down to the circuitry. I set up an Apple Store appointment for the evening but on a whim took it to Mac-​Pro in the morning based on the reviews. Yes, they had the parts and could handle it without an appointment. Come back in three hours. Two hours later, it’s fixed, tested and ready to go. Cost: Not cheap but about the same as the Apple Store ($ 169). On the more intangible side, I got good vibes from the tech. Very down-​to-​earth, explained everything, even the type of testing they do. I’ll be using them again.

there are not enough places in the world like this. Finally some down to earth people showing some real kindness on this earth. I could not be more grateful for their great costumer service and wisdom. If you need any help with your Mac go here first.

Seems like a one-​man operation. He’s very knowledgeable and the pre-​owned macs are very inexpensive. They’re computers that were previously leased out to studios and the lease expired.

Ray and Chris, great guys. Know what I was looking for and helped me out greatly. I drove there from Lawndale, like 35 miles away. And it was worth it. I definitely recommend going to them.

These folks. These guys. These PROs. These Kings of New England. Bought a Macbook off them last year. They supercharged the thing, and made it go to 11. I was off to the races, writing, editing, doing the things that people do on über computers. Nary a problem.
Cut to recently: kaboom. Something went wrong. I took it to them… they said, «Friendo, you got a friend in us.» Referred me to a very recent Apple recall of said ‘puter. Told me who to talk to and where to stand. Did what they told me… got my GPU replaced (thanks APPLES!). And you know what? Through it all, they were tireless pros, and they took my calls, and they went out of their Waynes to help me.
Next machine I buy… it’s from them. Again and again. Hands down. And hands up, and clapping, for these hombres que pueden hacer a little computer magic… and great (read: friendly) service. All of my hats are off to thems.

I simply can’t believe how great this place is. The other reviews are right on, but don’t go far enough. The care for the client is not just top-​notch, but actually beyond that of almost any other business I’ve ever dealt with– Apple-​related or not. And I’ve dealt with a lot in my 60 years. I got my first Mac over 30 years ago.
DO NOT GO TO MELROSE MAC– it was one of the Apple certified repair and data-​recovery places recommended by the local Apple store, and It’s a complete rip-​off. In my experience, they are liars and thieves, and not one of the employees give a damn about the clients.
MacPro LA has had numerous opportunities to take advantage of me, and instead has saved me money at every turn, never charging for extremely fast diagnostics (even over the weekend), and always recommending the cheapest AND best solution. I’m still in shock over the kindness of my latest transaction with them and had to write this to thank them. Ray has proved to me on many occasions that his integrity is impeccable, and you can trust him with what sometimes feels like your life itself when your computer and/​or your personal data are compromised. I’ve never bought a Mac from them, but from what I can tell, their prices are extremely fair, and almost always a better solution than a new or refurbished one from Apple. Trust these guys to do what’s necessary to make things right in a fair and timely manner.

Ray is the quintessential mom and pop honest and good business person in a world dominated by 21^st century technology. I could imagine him being the perfect cobbler in a sleepy town in a Barcelona outskirt, where he knows everyone’s name in the village, where people travel several days by boat just for the opportunity to experience Ray’s craftsmanship and excellence.
Ironically, as I walked away from this amazing experience, I now have a complete and utter disgust for the Apple business model, as it truly reflects the strength of its brand to over charge and influence the consumer behavior of an entire generation simply because of the perceived social standing that having the latest Apple product gives you.
Case in point, I have this old beat up Macbook I bought in 2008. I absolutely love this machine. It was the laptop I bought when I started my first internet company. It stayed with me after I sold that company, and is still by my side after three other startups. I have a bunch of stickers on it, each identifying a story and reflection of my life over the past 7 years. When I started having keyboard issues, I stopped regularly using my computer because Apple suggested I buy an entirely new laptop. Whereas with Ray, he simply replaced the keyboard, my battery, upped my RAM from 2GB to 8GB, and replaced my hard drive with a solid state, and BOOM all of a sudden I have a computer that performs just as fast as many of the brand new laptops being sold Pollos Hermanos style to an unsuspecting generation of sheep. He did all of this for a price that basically cost the same amount of what Apple charged me to replace my screen???
Overall, I’m very pleased with my experience with Ray, and am looking forward to going to MacPro LA for ALL of my Apple needs.

We Love to Look on Unilocal!~ Saw all these great reviews and decided to make the trip across «town» for service on our Mac. The drive & traffic was worth it!!! They have lots of inventory and we got a good deal on a refurbished MB Pro with lots of bonuses. Unheard of at the other place. Remember… The positive about traffic in LA is you can get a lot done with a bluetooth… so no sweat! Have a great day… everyday!

I had a MacBook battery that needed to be replaced and Chris told me that they didn’t have any new ones. I explained that my battery had warped and my laptop wouldn’t turn on unless it had a battery in it. I also told him that I would even take an old battery. Without missing a beat, Chris told me to come in and he would give me one. Well, thanks for the free battery Chris because my laptop just turned on and I was able to backup my hard drive.

My computer screen went blue! I came to this place at 2pm. My computer was dead out dated and super old. This place saved me! Got all my data back and back up service done for free! I purchased a Mac Book pro 13 for under $ 650. The Apple Store would have been 3 times as much! I received all my bookmarks back, word, excel, my pictures, music etc… I tell you everything was transferred! I had my computer and was back home by 5pm. Super fast service! Very chilled place. Trust me you won’t shop anywhere else for any Mac products expect this place! I am a customer for life! Please check this place out first before the Apple Store or any other Mac repair places. I am sooooooooooo happy!

When one moves to LA, they need to establish a new posse of people in their life. This is a gang of business people who are honest, trustworthy, and full of integrity. A group of Avengers if you will: a doctor, a dentist, a mechanic, and an Apple technician. These could evolve into friends, but they don’t need to be.
Going to a third party Apple tech is like going to a 3^rd party mechanic: it’s cheaper, you rarely have a wait time, and you receive that ma and pa environment.
Finding any good small business like Pro-​LA is all about consistency. Just like dining in a restaurant, you can have a good meal once, but what makes a restaurant stand out is if you get the same quality of service, atmosphere, and food consistently every single time you go.
Purchasing a product from Pro-​LA is an effortless and easy experience, but the real judgment factor comes into play when one has to deal with Pro-​LA afterwards just in case a problem arises.
This is not a one and done shop by any means. What I mean is, that when one either purchases a product or takes their Mac in for service, they are a part of the Pro-​LA family, treated with kindness and respect. They are not shunned. If there is a problem, the fine people fix it immediately. They still care for the products they sell even after it’s off of their shelves. Because let’s face it, in this day and age, no matter how new or used your latest Mac toy is, it’s going to need some repairs down the road. You’re going to want to be cared for and not feel like a robot on a conveyor belt only to listen to half-​hearted replies that seem computer automated coming from human beings!
You are taken care of at Pro-​LA. You are receiving a deal you cannot refuse. And everything is legitimate. No rules are broken. Everything is on the up and up. Pro-​LA is personal. It’s real. It’s Ma and Pa. And you know what, I’d rather have Ma and Pa take care of me than a robot.

The guy gets the job done. The replacement cost and service fee reminded me that I wasn’t inside a musty cubicle-​sized repair shop in Westlake. Not cheap, but the non-​charging laptop I had was fixed and is now charging!
I have an unused, redeemable «free diagnosis» for checking in on Unilocal for an already free diagnosis so let me mark it as redeemed. Done and done. I came in with my Mid-​2012 MacBook Pro with my own diagnosis of it either being for a broken battery or for a broken charging port. Mine is one of the 13″ MacBook Pro models attached to the crappy L-​shaped ac adapter chargers from the early 2010s that so awkwardly fit or not fit in the laptop. I have the last MacBook Pro model Apple ever made before they realized how craptastic these ac adapters perform and changed them, but I digress…
I think what happened is that there was a surge in the awful ac adapter that slowly killed the charging port. His diagnosis was my biggest fear and the costlier of the two options ($ 249). The guy is really busy and gets annoying phone calls all the time for the stuff he is selling, but he is really economical with the little free time he has. I’ll keep the store portion of his business in mind if I want to get a used/​refurbished laptop. I drop off the laptop at 11am. I get called with a diagnosis at 3:30pm. I go ahead with the repairs. I pick up the laptop the next day at 11am. Easy-​peasy.
