It’s a Payless, not really somewhere I shop often(plus if you know me, you know I have a bad online shopping habit, no need to hit up stores lol), but the employee working here was more than helpful and I think deserves some recognition! Scenario — Halloween morning, super excited, so I decide to try on my costume in it’s entirety to make sure the pieces came together as I envisioned in my head, which led to me ripping a giant hole in the crotch of my perfect nude/gold glitter fish nets. In a panic I rushed out the door and headed to a pop up Halloween store. Of course they didn’t have what I wanted(again, this is why shopping online is much easier, the internet has EVERYTHING you could ever dream up), but I begrudgingly grabbed some white, fish nets that would be acceptable. I went to the gym, and then had an epiphany! 1) There was a Payless nearby, and I wasn’t 100% happy with my costume shoe option anyways, and 2) a friend told me Payless has lots of tights, leggings, etc for dance students. So, headed over to Payless, in quite a flustered state. I rushed up and down the aisles in a panic, not really seeing any shoes I liked, when I finally stumbled upon EXACTLY what I was looking for, and they were on clearance for $ 10! SCORE! Then I began looking around for tights, seeing nothing, no doubt looking like a hot, sweaty, crazed gym mess, which is when I was approached by the employee(whose name I wish I remembered) and after mumbling something about tights he took me right to section(that I had already walked past at least 3 times!). I do believe he was the only employee in the store, so he had to head back to the cash register, but as I looked over the tights options I overheard him communicating with some of the other shoppers. Not only does he work at two Payless locations, but it was clear he recognized these customers and I could see his true customer service skills come to light. Definitely great rapport with the customers! I finally found a great option for my tights, not what I had initially envisioned, but something I liked a lot better than white fish nets… and headed up to check out. I was rung up, entered into the rewards program and on my way. Needless to say, Payless saved the day!
