Quickie’s Burgers & Wings

This was our 5^th or so time coming to Quickie’s and it will be the last.
In the past, we were usually greeted by the owner who has always been very pleasant and helpful. The food has always been so good. I would rave about it for days.
Last night my husband and I walked in, We are looking at the menu and not even 5 seconds later we are asked if we are ready. The young lady who asked us couldn’t have been any older than 15 and looked miserable. She was annoyed as soon as we walked in.
As we are ordering and talking to her, the girl starts talking to her coworker and laughing it up. A good minute passes by and we are looking at each other and at her like what is going on here? She rushed us through the ordering and walked away. We both ordered a deluxe burger and a small order of wings to split. We stood there and I asked another employee if the fries were included with the deluxe he said no we have to order it separately. He was really nice and helpful. Ok, fine. So I ordered the fries. We waited 5 minutes or so. Our food was brought out by the nice young kid who helped us with the fries question. We asked if everything was here, fries and all he said «Yes, I put it all together for you». Awesome, right? No.
At this point I was already annoyed because of the girl who took our order It just left a bad taste in my mouth. So we get home. Unpack the food, and the wings aren’t there. I look at the receipt just to double check and we indeed did pay for them. At the top of the receipt it says «We Deliver». I call them and I say hi we just left and you did not give us the wings. The guy on the phone was like «Oh yes, we know you left your wings». I said «Well, you forgot to give them to us. We were told we had everything.» (I know I should’ve looked before I left, but again, I was upset). I ask him «Well can you deliver it to us» He says «No, we no longer deliver. I know it says it on the receipt, but we no longer deliver. I’m so sorry».
You see where this is going, right?
We ate our burgers at home. We went back. I told my husband you go in because I do not think it’s a good idea if I go in there. At this point I didn’t even want them. I just wanted our money back.
My husband was given the same wings that we ordered over 30 minutes earlier. They were sitting on the counter waiting for us.
I do not like to give bad reviews. I usually just won’t go back to the place ever. But all this mess just made my blood boil.
Owner of Quickie’s, if you are reading this, your burgers are amazing. I remember when you first opened you took our order and served us yourself, but unless you get your staff together and people who are customer service friendly, we will not be back. Also, you should take off that you don’t deliver anymore of your menus and receipts.

I would give more stars but the last time we went the wings were old and tasted like they were a bit rancid so we threw them out we have not been back sinse then and its a shame because we used to love this place :(

very tasty small «hole in the wall» with a huge selection. Everything from gizzards to conch…

My first time here I had the quickie large burger with quickie sauce, crispy fried onions and cheese and garlic parmesan fries. So filling and delicious. My reason for not giving the full 5 stars is because I spent 20 to 25 minutes in line when there was only one car ahead of me the whole time and I only get 30 mins for lunch so I had to eat inside my office and I work right down the street. Also the receipt and menu say they deliver but when I called ahead they told me they don’t. Also, i don’t know why I got charged those extra $ 2.99 but who wants to argue when you have to rush back to work

Great spot. I always have the shrimp dinner with the Quickies sauce. Quicky burgers are good too.

Their burgers and wings are the best around! Especially the golden bbq chicken. the MOAB is huge and usually when restaurants make something big it comes at the cost of taste. Not with quickies, their moab has the best of both worlds!

Today was the second time I ate at Quickie’s. Although the neighborhood isn’t the safest, the food is on point. I’ve tried the Diablo burger and today I had the jerk chicken sandwich. I could only eat half of the Diablo burger. It was very filling. The prices are great and the young lady who works the register is very friendly. I didn’t know that they close the sit down part of the store at 10pm so today when I went, I was told that I had to take my food to go. I ended up eating in the car but I was okay with t. Drive through is open until midnight. I will definitely come again, probably during the daytime. Everything is halal except for the bacon (it’s turkey bacon and it’s cooked on a different grill). Make sure you get quickie’s sauce if you order fries.

My favorite place to get a juicy, hearty burger. They have a pretty extensive menu. I always get their jerk burger though. It is lightly seasoned with a hint of jerk spice and their signature smoky Quickie’s sauce. I can’t quite put my name on what is in that sauce but it tastes so good. I add pepperjack, turkey bacon, and mushrooms to my burger.
You can tell that they don’t skimp on their ingredients because everything has that quality flavor. Also staff is very attentive and sweet always.
It is like fast food, late night dining, and gourmet all rolled into one. Waaaaaayyy tastier than similar places like Five Guys and BurgerFi.

Pretty good burger great fries … Little pricey … But I am definitely going back !!! 10x better than Mickey d’s

Im from up north (dmv). Love the combo options! Cant get wings & a burger w old bay seasoning on the fries plus smoothie anywhere! Aaaaaah i love this place! They even give you a mayo & ketchup mix, they have provolone cheese, turkey bacon, a drive thru, && text message ordering A dream come true! By the way the lady was extremely nice, very welcoming, and very professional!
If i had to give a con it would be that the place isn’t bigger, i would think w such great food and service that it would be bigger inside like a McDonalds. But there is a fair amount of tables which are comfy and clean. Theres also a table outside.

AMAZING!!! Their burgers amazing, their fries awesome! But i gotta say their burger sauce is what makes the burger and fries! Deff recommend for burgers and fries!

I’m correcting my review! I went back and got a deluxe burger meal and man was it delicious! I’m not sure whether the chef was different from last time or what. The burger patty had a lot of flavor and was grilled to perfection! It made me realize why I love places like this because I love that grilled flavor that most places don’t have. The staff is so friendly and sweet and the prices aren’t bad. I’ll be coming back again

All that needs to be said about this place is… Quickie Sauce! It’s their own blend of Ketchup and Mayo with their own special seasoning. Take my word for it… that sauce makes everything you eat in this place that much better!
Now before I go let me recommend their 1lb. Burger. They sell it as the MOAB burger, but you can ask for it anyway you like.

Went to quickies because it offers halal options, which are very limited in SoFlo. The place is like a few steps up from your typical fast food burger joint. The location is in a «questionable» area but inside the restaurant is clean and the staff was friendly. The crowd was mixed and it got pretty full soo after we arrived. My friends and I ordered burgers and then a few sides of wings. The food came out quick and was delicious. The burgers were a bit messy and the buns fell apart bc of how large the burgers were but all in all it still was a great burger. Well –seasoned and cooked perfectly. The wings (we ordered lemon pepper garlic parm and hot) were also really good. I would definitely come back to Quickies for a good burger or some wings, or even try their other options which include fried fish platters and sandwiches!

Amazing burgers and menu but they need to expand their location or move elsewhere in a cleaner less dangerous neighborhood. It gets packed. The special sauce was amazing!

Best burgers in town! Their homemade quickies sauce is amazing and definitely makes everything taste even better. The fries are awesome and the conch fried balls. Also their staff is super nice and helpful. We went for the first time a few weeks ago the lady was so patient and helpful, guided us through the menu and even gave us some free samples ! Highly recommend overall!

Very good burgers, their sauce (which they put on their normal burger) was really good i didn’t even need the ketchup and mustard.
Fried pickles were very fried and crispy, chicken nuggets for the baby were fried and he ate them all.
This is a place you have to save up your unhealthy points to come and visit (if you care about that)

This is the amazing thing about this place… I go to burger king and in the middle of the night I’m always woken up with a horrible stomach ache. Popping tums and about an hour of pain then it passes. (You’d think I’d learn after a couple of times, but when the craving comes, I gotta have a cheap burger!)
With quickies I was expecting the same… Nope! Was perfectly fine. So that tells me a lot. Yes it’ll clog your arteries but at least it’s better quality than BK!

So I was out voted and ended up here for lunch even though I had eaten a burger and wings the previous day. I had to suffer through another set of wings and another burger. It’s a tough life. Seriously though, this place is actually pretty good for what it is. What is it? Well, it is essentially fast food, but better quality.
First off, they have fried pickles. And they’re pretty good fried pickles. I also had some of their hot wings. Good sauce. Crispy wings. Nothing overly amazing, but tasty nonetheless. Also had half of their Philly burger which is a burger with a Philly cheesesteak on top of it. It was as intense as it sounds.
I thought the service was fine and it was cheap. I’d come back.
