I lived next door to The Inn place for over 10 years, so I don’t have to tell you how many times I have eaten their Mongolian Beef with brown rice or the Lemon Chicken! I love this place! I loved being able to walk right next door and pick it up and I loved the food in general. I have no idea what’s wrong with the folks who claim the food made them ill. I ate there for over 10 years and NEVER got sick. Unfortunately, I learned today, June 3rd, that they closed at the end of May. I am so sorry. They couldn’t afford the lease at that location anymore. Victor’s square squeezed them out. I hope they find a better location and I wish them luck Now I have to find something in the neighborhood that I like as much.

Pretty good, not cheap so for the price it is higher than expected. Food was very hot, and tasty!

I used to live down the street from here. And, they would deliver my order to me literally 5 minutes after I ordered it. That was great! The sweet ‘n’ sour chicken is really good. They use the red sweet ‘n’ sour sauce that I like. The shrimp lo mein/chow mein is also really good.

Pretty tasty. We have never had anything bad from here. Their sauces are really good – particularly the spicy garlic sauce and the brown sauce. Caveat: I see people don’t like the meat dishes, and I can only speak for the vegetarian dishes.

Eat here at your own risk, I did and got sick. Hard to believe they’re allowed to handle food in the first place. What do you have to do to get certified in Hollywood? Just show up?

Very standard run-of-the-mill Chinese food. The best thing on the menu is the hot and sour soup which has good heat and lots of tofu. Unfortunately everything else tastes rather bland. I’ve ordered here from time to time over the past ten years and I’m sorry to say the food has always been mediocre at best.

Standard Chinese takeout. Meats are a bit fatty for me, but that’s standard with these places. Egg foo young is made with(or from) batter… why do places do this? I’d skip that. I recommend Shredded Szechwan Pork & any fried rice, I don’t get much else from here, sometimes fried or steamed dumplings. Had the fried chicken wings appetizer once and they were the bomb. Had ‘em maybe once since and they’re good, but that one time they were crispy, seasoned, had sesame seeds in the batter… yum. Prices are a bit steep — I only get night delivery, never had lunch there. On your way out, you can grab a movie at Video Hut. Psyyyyyyyche!

Your typical hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. Very small. The name of the restaurant doesn’t even sound Chinese. I think«Chinese food» would even sound more legit… As far as the food… I ordered the Mongolian beef plate… I wasnt too satisfied especially since the food wasn’t enough or taste gopd for $ 11.50… If you live walking distance around the area… it’s probably the best you’ll get but if you can drive .I think you could find better and cheaper

Great little Neighborhood Chinese place. We live on Tamarind and they delivered to us within 20 Minutes. Food was great/moderatley priced. Staff was pleasant and intuitive. I would order from them again:)

2.5 Stars I just don’t know why I bother with this place sometimes. It’s just your average Chinese take-out joint. Just a notch above Panda Express. However, when I don’t have time to make anything to eat at home and I have over-done the other dining options in the village, we end up ordering from here once every three months or so, and I always feel crappy afterwards. While the service is efficient(never more than a 10 minute wait), the food is inconsistent. I’ve had really good lo mein here… and lo mein that seemed to have been tossed together but not actually stir-fried together at all, which was gross. They offer all those breaded, fried, and glazed delicacies that most non-Asian people like. You know, orange chicken, breaded fried shrimp, etc… I stick the bbq pork lo mein(because the bbq is tasty) and the occasional order of ma pao tofu. Other than that, I pretty much stay away from here. My other gripe is that the prices(aside from their specials) are a little steep for what you get– $ 9 – 10 an entrée for something you can get better and cheaper in Thai town or Chinatown…

I have been ordering from the Inn Place for years. We always get delivery within 30 minutes, delivered by a friendly familiar face with a smile, and the food is great. Our favorites: Deep Fried Chicken Wings, Teriyaki steak on a stick, fried dumplings, and the mandarin chicken is always a treat. lunch specials are well priced and significant portions. Don’t miss the Mui Shu Shrimp and the Curry Chicken, one of my faves.

Lunch special 5.95 Lunch special w/seafood 6.95 Combo comes with an eggroll and rice. It satisfied my chinese craving that for some reason I’ve had for the last 3 days. AFTERWARDS, you can go right down the street and pay, 5.95 for a fufu coffee, and feel semi-good about yourself for not eating a healthy meal and making coffee at home.

I too am walking distance to this place and was hoping it could be the place to go for my chinese food fix. But alas, it was not what I had hoped for. The food was just okay. It is kind of healthy which for most americans is too much to handle. The fried rice was quite tasty but the sauces on everything just tasted a little off. I might go there again if I get stranded at my house and all the surrounding restaurants are closed. You never know.

First off the restaurant is very dirty looking. If you can get past this and not think about how the kitchen must look… the food is ok. Not my fav, but ok in a pinch.

Solid Chinese food. Me and the roomie ordered delivery from here last night. It got to us within 15 minutes! Everything we got was pretty good. It was not the best Chinese food I have ever had, but def not even close to the worst. For a neighborhood place this is pretty good. This is what we got: Pu Pu platter for two Hot and sour soup Beef w/Broccoli Chicken Chow Mein Mushu Pork It was all good, no stomach aches or anything after. I have yet to try the orange chicken which is supposed to be amazing, but gotta save something for next time. Will def be ordering from here again.

I have walked by this place various times without taking much notice on my way to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. I went there last night since I owed my buddy Fletcher a diner for helping fix my computer. Seemed like it was more of an order out place, but we took our seats near the window. Service is what to expect, just order takers and not much personality. We got the Pork fried wonton appetizers, which I wasn’t a fan of but Fletch really liked. I ordered the Combination Pan Fried Noodle which were very tasty and I really didn’t expect it to be so good. Fletch got the Garlic Chicken which was deep fried and good as well(yet I liked my meal better). Overall worth checking out as Thai restaurants are all over LA while good Chinese is often hard to come by. Considering the huge portion size, don’t think it is too expensive since you get a lot for your money’s worth.

Bad food — don’t bother. I live walking distance from this place and was hoping it’d at least be decent, but not even close. I have no idea how they’re in business. The food is just bad!

Do you ever wonder why the worst Chinese food places are right next door to where you live? Kind of like that old adage that warns«most accidents happen close to home»… I want to like this place, really. I do. I could practically walk here, that is how close it is to my home– so why can’t they seem to find my dog house? But when they finally do reach me, I regret they ever found me. Know what I mean? They are nice enough people. I enjoy those slow days when I see them taking in the basketball game from the little T.V. they have for their 6 or so tables inside. I beg you, Mr. Inn Place owner– Add some tasty tofu dishes and try a little harder to make your food yummy and I will try harder to be clear with the directions to my house. Those fresh fortune cookies aren’t gonna entice me to order here again… well, maybe not for a while anyway!

The Inn Place is great, greasy, and cheap. What could be better? Well, for one, the Moo Shoo Pork could actually use a little more cabbage. I know, it surprised me, too. All the same, the food was pretty good. My boyfriend enjoyed the lightly breaded and extremely fresh Orange Chicken. The pan seared fried dumplings were also quite good. Again, a little less pork with the Moo Shoo, but otherwise on par with the rest of our order. As for service — absolutely great. They quickly took my order, the food was at our door step in less than 30 minutes, and the delivery guy was very nice. He was even kind enough to talk with us about his experiences growing up in Communist China! If you’re in the mood for some greasy Chinese without the hassle, then settle in for some food from The Inn Place.
