The business title is true to its name-there is an abundance of book selections. The business is well organized and the owner very knowledgeable on her books/author. Big Downer-after bringing in books for store credit, then spending an hour+ finding books I liked, was advised I couldn’t use my Credit card for purchase less than $ 10(purchase amount minus creature credit was $ 5ish).ended up paying larger more upfront. what’s the point of my credit?

Growing up with used book stores, finding this gem was a truly welcome surprise. The owner was kind and helpful, and the selection of poetry and teaching resources was just what I was looking for. I was also able to find a wonderful gift for my mother there, too. The prices were extremely reasonable. Looking forward to going back soon!

In terms of used books, this is probably one of the best in southern Florida that I’ve found so far. The selection is huge, because they are very densely packed. Lots of used sci-fi and fantasy paperbacks and hard covers, haven’t found a bigger selection elsewhere. Lot’s of vintage sci-fi as well, 50s — now. Bundles are available. Many are collectibles. It is family owned and the owner is friendly and chatty. The used paperbacks are sold at half of the current *market* price — they will check Amazon for each book and compare condition & year of book/vs price to determine final price. Identical copies will be differently priced based on condition. The minimum price is $ 1.50 and upwards(as of 2014). I have to say, overall, very reasonable. Lots of other sections as well. A bibliophile’s dream. It’s pretty much your only choice down here, but regardless of that it is highly recommended.

I have discovered this little store that is chock full of wonderful books. If you are a true bibliophile then this store is for you. The owner has several programs that you will have to ask how they work. Don’t assume anything you are going to have to ask the owner and she will explain it to you. This is not your typical chain book store, there are no café and lattes to be sold here, just good books. When you come and visit plan a couple of hours to browse through all of the books that they have. For example, I found Orson Scott Card complete hard cover books, mint of Homecoming for less that $ 30.00, which is the price on just one of the books new. The educated consumer is the best customer. Enjoy your browsing.

it’s with a heavy heart and a hungry book appetite that i cheated on my favorite so, fl. based used book store.(bookwise) i was happily surprised by the stores gigantic selection of new & old scifi/fantasy titles. the place was full of paperbacks and hardcovers. i greatly appreciated that they took the time to organize the books alphabeticallyby author verses slopping books together based on their genre and then handing you a shovel. it’s much easier to treasure hunt this way — makes for larger finds and therefore bigger purchases and a more enjoyable experience. yet it’s sadly, not the norm. the prices are steeper than they should be based on the books condition. certainly well-worth the far drive. if you’re in the mood for a new or used book, definitely swing by volume one. you won’t regret it.

Don’t shop here! The owner didn’t explain their book policy: that you can only exchange(ie bring in books) for store credit and that the same store credit that you do get for your books, cannot be used on children’s books or a third of the books in the store. I brought in a big box of books– and while the owner kept 10 books, I only got $ 8 store credit. Less than $ 1 per book, and owner sells all books for 50% of retail price. SERIOUS Waste of time and effort. I understand they have to make money, but poor business practice! I spent over $ 40 to buy the books I had selected. She wouldn’t give me the remaining 1.65 of my store credit off of that price. I’ll never shop there again!

I’m not sure why this book store received anything but a five star rating, however it is filled to the rim with a plethora of books of every genre desirable. The owner of the book store is extremely kind and filled with so much knowledge. If you ask her for a certain type of book she has so much knowledge and is able to divert you to many books you can chose from. I really love this store!

I decided to check this place out about two years ago after driving by it several times and boy am I glad I found it! Now I come here every couple of months to pick up some classics, or a good read for a plane ride. The prices are low and books are most always in great condition. In the style of true used book stores, it has a lot of character and is overwhelmed with bookshelves and a large selection if books. But don’t worry, because the owner at the front desk will help you find anything you need and seems to know about any author I ask her about. I absolutely love this place and would go here over Borders or Barnes&Noble any day!
