Stopped in to look at their lawn ornaments (wishing wells, lighthouses, windmills). Nice stuff and we made a cash offer. It was lower than what the owner would accept but he was very rude in his refusal. Laughed out loud in our faces and walked away laughing. When he got across the yard he yelled out what he paid for the item and laughed again. We would have upped our offer if not for his treatment; he could have said no, that was too low and explained why. But the lack of respect cost him any sale at all.

I have bought firewood here several times over the past 15 years. The wood is cut and sized very nicely. That is important to me. The wood is also seasoned. Also, it is very easy to select the amount you want from their pre-​sized bins. It is also simple to load the wood in your SUV or trunk. The staff is fine but unless they were great or horrible it really would not matter to me.
The price may be a bit high, however, most important to me is what I get at Holmdel Firewood, which is dry, clean wood that is cut small enough to burn easily. Plus, an easy process to select load and buy the wood. If that is what you want then this is an ideal place.

Bought wood during storm. They ripped us off. We are locals and won’t do business with them.
