I’ve been taking out from Yau Yu for years since I left my home in NYC. Tasty, well-cooked food that compares to great take-out I had in Manhattan. I actually think it has improved even more lately, with tighter, firmer steamed dumplings and won tons.(I don’t like loose, watery ones.) I enjoy the large shrimp in seafood dishes, plus crisp vegetables, savory chicken wings, good curry sauce etc.

This place was my go to Chinese take out when I lived in the area. I just recently got it again when visiting my parents who live nearby. The place is definitely a step above the people across the street. I will not mention the name of the business. I always order the same things because I know they will satisfy me. I’m a huge fan of their lo mein. There is plenty of noodles, vegetables, and they are not stingy on the meat of your choice if that is a preference. My tip for an appetizer are the cream cheese wontons. I’ve shared with many of my friends and they are immediately hooked. You get just enough crunch and then you can taste the crab which is not overpowered by the cream cheese and scallions. The hot and sour soup is delicious as well. The broth is not as fatty as others I’ve experienced. Other entrees that I have had and would recommend are the sweet and sour chicken and the beef chow fun. Both dishes do not disappoint in my opinion. The sweet and sour chicken actually has chicken and not just full of batter. The chow fun noodles are not dry and vegetables are cooked perfect and still have crunch to them. The people their are very friendly and always open to make adjustments to any meal.

best Boneless Rib around. most other chinese takeout give you thin crisp, bland pieces of pork. Yau-yu gives fresh, meaty, pieces of pork. They warm up and cut it right in front of you. I also love the fried rice, its not greasy and the added onion gives it a nice flavor. Def come back again soon. Wish i lived closer, i work nearby.

There was a live roach in our bag of food last night and we didn’t notice until after we ate… I threw everything out and will never go again!!!

Better than china wok. Consistent with decent food. Exactly what you’d expect from Chinese food.

Good food at a good price. They’re my local go-to. Try and get there for the lunch time specials. Almost as much food as the regular portions, but half the price. Lunch special with your choice of soup, egg roll or soup for $ 5. Not bad.
