A.C. Moore Arts and Crafts

I was at this store yesterday afternoon… I chose to go here, because I don’t like spending my money at Hobby Lobby.
I grabbed a shopping cart — it didn’t roll — at all. Looked at the other three available and saw they were all broken (like entire sides of the cart missing), they were coated in mystery liquids or they didn’t roll at all. I should have re-​evaluated my options at this point, but I figured «they’re just carts».
I didn’t get into the first aisle of the store before the absolutely FILTHY environment started to creep me out. The floors were covered in bits and pieces of feathers, toys, flowers, paint, food, beverages and liquids I’d prefer not investigate. I couldn’t find two continuous feet of floor that weren’t absolutely disgusting.
The shelves looked like bombs had gone off on them.
It was early afternoon, in the middle of the week — and even if it’s a week before Christmas, there is absolutely no justification for a store looking like this. It was quite clear it hadn’t been cleaned, mopped or organized in a VERY long time. It wasn’t just messy — it was absolutely filthy, gross, unforgivable.
I’ve never written a review for a retail store before, but this unbelievably disgusting store inspired me. I’ve never seen anything like it. I will never, ever be back. If you decide to brave it, I suggest a hazmat suit.

Great selection of arts and crafts supplies but it will be very expensive depending on your needs. They have a framing department too which is without a doubt way over priced, even if you have the best available coupon. All in all, if you can’t find what you are looking for cheaper elsewhere, you are sure to find it there, just know that in all likely hood you will pay a premium.

Yesterday afternoon while shopping at the Holyoke Mall I decided to drop in at A.C. Moore to pick up some craft items. When I walked into the store it was bustling as always and I was quickly reminded how large the store actually is.
Since the store is so large, at times it can be difficult to find items. This particular location is sometimes less organized than others. The staff here is always extremely polite but this store seems to be understaffed which makes it difficult to find items as well.
The quality of craft items here are pretty decent but they cost more than other stores. In the end I was able to find the items I was looking for for reasonable price, but there is stiff competition here with the Hobby Lobby down the hall. Overall, this is the decent store with a great staff.
