Pizza D’Action

I was really hungry, so sorry no pics. I had the double bacon cheeseburg pizza. It was a really good pizza with generous amounts of meat and bacon.
I will definitely return to try other menu items as there is a good selection to choose from along with some homemade cookies and brownies.

We truly LOVE their vegetarian sauce on the pizza. Very flavorful. We enjoy the pepperoni normally. Hubbies fave. I also really like the eggplant parm pizza. For a fast food pizza joint, I have to say it is pretty good. And I am picky about pizza. Their vegetarian sauce is one of the best I have had in a long time.

Good fresh Pizza with a variety of unique flavors. In particular I think the Buffalo chicken and the chicken with broccoli white are exceptional.

Waited over a hr to get a cold pizza that was dry and over cooked total disappointment I will never order here again.

A colleague and I were early for a meeting in Holyoke so we were searching for a place to grab a quick bite. This place popped up on our Unilocal map and we went, not expecting anything fancy. Dude — they have a vegan menu, a gluten free menu (score for my colleague!), and the guy working there was SO NICE and gave us recommendations for his fave menu items. Inexpensive and yummy. Highly recommend, would return.

The Best pizza around! Our favorite is the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and the only word I can find to describe it is decadent. So Good.
Pizza D’ has friendly staff, good atmosphere, is very clean with an incredible menu and beer and wine.

I don’t really like the pizza here. It kind of tastes like dominos. Which i hate. But it’s better than dominos. Barely

The pizza is pretty meh; sauce has a kind of sour from a jar taste (the only way I can describe it) and the crust is very dough-​y.
However, the wings and grinders are awesome. Seriously, their buffalo wings. They are crispy (not wet) but still have a great buffalo spice that is flavorful but not overly spicy (I think you can specify your spice level). Delivery is always prompt, food is always hot, and the drivers are very friendly.

I have eaten here many times and every time that I do I am never really that impressed with the food. They have many different options like a typical neighborhood pizzeria would. The grinders are standard, but nothing to write home about. The pizza has a little bit too much sauce, too much cheese, and not enough flavor. Why is this a problem? Because you can’t bite through all of the cheese when you take a bite of your pizza and with all of the extra sauce, the cheese slides off the dough and all that you are left with is tomato stained bread.
I have tried several of the dinners that they offer. But I can’t seem to find any that I really like. I have ordered lasagna several times, because I really love a good lasagna. Every time that I order it it is burnt. I want to like the chicken wings, but they are served dry. And if you ask for buffalo sauce, they will give you a side of barbecue sauce.
I will say that the service is really good and they do seem to generally care about the customer. However, the food is really not up to par. I’m sorry but there are better pizzerias in Holyoke

I love this pizza. Its like addictive, once you start it is difficult to stop. they do deliveries to my workplace often but they don’t deliver to my home area. That’s the only bad thing.

Their pizza is pretty mediocre. It’s what you expect from any strip mall rando pizza place. It’s doughy and so plain that I can’t really think of anything else to say. Once was definitely enough. A friend once brought a tray of baked ziti with sausage to a party though and it was excellent. So, I had to give it an extra star. They also have some decent beers on tap. It would be possible to actually eat in there rather than just pick up food. The staff are nice enough and it seems pretty clean.

The pizza, grinders, and cannolis are delicious! Great customer service!* The guy who answers the phone is always cheerful. If you order delivery and are paying with a credit card they will call back before taking the info. (For security I guess?) Overall they are the best place that delivers in town.
*If you read my Italian Friendly review, you know good customer service can make or break a place for me.

I’m sad to say that I lived in Holyoke for 7 years before I got the name of this restaurant. (I know, pathetic, right?) I dunno if these name puns are a Greek pizza place thing or what, but my godmother, who is also a Greek-​American, has long threatened to open a pizza place and name it after herself with a horrible pun: Ioanna Pizza?
Anyway, this is more expensive pizza than you’ll find at a lot of the shops in town, but it is some damn good stuff, the crust is delightful and the sauce is heavenly. When I’m here with my boo, we get the meat lovers’ pizza which is delightful the first time around, delightful cold the next morning, delightful heated back up, we have to order a big one so there will be leftovers. When I’m ordering on my own, I usually get a pepperoni and vegetables sort of thing and those are great too. This is definitely a good Greek pie, and we love it.
The retro décor is fun, and even when some of the more eccentric locals are here, they usually pick pretty awesome songs for the jukebox.

Had to return for lunch today because of the awesome pasta dinners they have, but once again experienced poor customer service. There were two of us dining, and we ordered at the same time. The waiter brought the food for one of us, and told the other person that he had forgotten to tell the kitchen to substitute penne for the fettuchini in his dinner. I sat there with my plate of food for almost fifteen minutes while my dining partner waited for them to remake his order. While the waiter did apologise several times, it was totally inappropriate for him to serve the first meal without the other. How awkward. He offered no accomodation for the mistake. And it was his fault. We were the only two people who had ordered. How could he have screwed up one order, and why didn’t he hold the first plate until the second one was ready.
This is the second poor experience I have had there in about a week. Although I love their food, I think I will go to Bernie’s or someplace else in the future. This place seems unable to appreciate how important basic customer service is.

This place is sick, Best Pizza I have ever had and their waitress Sierra is one of the best I have ever encountered always pleasant and smiling. Love to try the specialty pizzas personal favorite is the buffalo blue cheese and the hot wings are big and meaty with just the right amount of heat. The owner even comes out to ask how everything is often. When I fade off into the sunset I hope it’s with a piece of their pizza in my hand. 8)

Based on a previous experience, we decided to order a pizza from Pizza D’Action.
We placed our order over the phone for a large (14″ round) pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms for $ 15.00. We were told 20 – 25 minutes.
After waiting 10 minutes at home, we drove to Pizza D’Action and found a spot to park, walked into the smallish establishment, then let the guy know we had ordered over the phone. He said our pizza was on it’s way out of the oven and would be just a couple of minutes.
We paid, he brought out our pizza, we drove home, and ate 75% of the pizza. It was very good, thinner crust, lots of cheese, pepperoni and mushrooms! I’d go back!

Delish! Pizza is yummy, and they have so many different speciality pizzas… wings are great too!

We needed to order a bunch of pizzas for work last week, and being a pun-​loving crowd, there really was no other option once we saw the name.
Thankfully, the pizzas lived up to the clever name. The pesto pizza went over well, and the meat lovers was unbelievably saturated with different meats. The quantity of meat on it lead some to joke, «The Meat Lover’s pizza, brought to you by Liptor.» But really, it was delicious.
The staff was great to deal with on a large order and they came through for us on a big order.
Closed on Tuesdays.

Great pizza at this place, and you can now get thin crust!
I usually go for either the pesto w/​feta, or the white chicken and broccoli. Though if you really want a heart-​attack pizza, do the eggplant parm. It’s deadly, but absolutely delicious!
This is my go to place if I’m ever in the mood for ‘za, and they never disappoint. Delivery can sometimes take a while, however.
