Their Steak Burritos are frickin delicious! I usually have two meals with a single burrito. That’s a deal for around $ 7! They’re my family’s favorite burrito place near our house. You won’t regret getting food from them!

We’ve ordered from here a few times. The food is decent if/when you get what you actually order. The staff talks a lot of crap about their customers, assuming that most Americans no entiendo espanol. They could have the best food in the world, after some of the crap I’ve heard the wait staff & cooks talk, I’d never step foot in this place again. No mas para este el gringo. Adiós pendejos…

I’m here and its cinco de mayo. I’m currently the only gringo in the restaurant and lucky for me I can hear the staff talking about the gringos on the phone and making rude comments about us.. Definitely not professional.

Beyond rude staff. Came here twice with my boyfriend. First time we came at 9:45 and rudely told us it was take-out only. Fair enough though, so my boyfriend ordered take-out. They got his side order wrong, too. Second time, we made sure to come earlier, around 9:10. Lady tells us it’s too late because«it closes in half hour.» Once again, so rude and it was so awkward. This time, he didn’t ask for a special side order, but they ended up somehow giving him fries instead of rice. We won’t be coming back here again.

This was really disappointing. The customer service was not good, the waitress came off as rude. They were already overpriced for food that was bland. The price was also high for the portion sizes. Also beware they charge 2.50 for sauces! The waitress couldn’t even split our checks for my friends and added a huge gratuity charge on our check! Won’t be back!

I love Mexican food and I’m pretty easy to please in terms of taste, but this place was awful. The streak burrito was $ 6.50, a fair price, and a good size. The taste was extremely bland. The most flavor I got from this burrito was the tortilla. The most interesting texture was the steak feeling like rubber. The restaurant is pretty clean. They were good at cleaning up right after a customer leaves. The problem was the lemon smell of pinesol over powering the smell of my streak burrito. Service wasn’t the best since she wasn’t helpful or polite. In her defense, she worked the register, took care of 3 groups, cleaned the tables, and would go to the back to possibly do more work. So it could of been a bad day, but they definitely understaff. I was a part of a group of four and we were all displeased. We were charged 2.50 for little hot sauce, the bottle of coke was 2.50, we were charged 15% gratuity, and they were unable to split our check. Overall, it can get pricey, food taste is nonexistant, service needs improvement, portion size for a burrito was good, and it’s lemony-clean :)

Very high price food !!! Tacos are $ 2.50 and they are ridiculously small. I say more like baby taco they have there. Steak isn’t all that at all. Never going again and this was my first time visit !!!

Update: food is all right but they always get our order wrong. We are always short something and charged for it! And a lot of the time no one speaks english to take our order over the phone. If you’re going to run a restaurant in a mainly English speaking area please at least have 1 person know and understand the language.

Delicious Mexican cuisine served till midnight ?! Yes. Great tacos on corn tortilla. Chicken, simmered pork and steak are great. Basic brand and rice are delicious. Spicy carrots are served with meal they are tasty ! They’re relatively quick, you can order inside for takeout and after a few games of snake on your phone, your food is ready to go ! The cooks are obviously different due to the differences of meat cook and seasoning. but it’s always been delicious.

When you look outside it looks like disgusting and run down. You go in and no one can understand English let alone speak it. I ordered 3 suizos and they didn’t even make them they made me regular burritos. When I said this ain’t what I ordered they said they new and that the Suizo uses different meat. I understand that it is a Mexican restaurant, but not only Mexican people will go there for food. I just wish that they had someone who answers the phones and takes your order to speak and understand English. With that being said, Never going back

Delicious food and cute atmosphere, however I have to take off 2 stars due to their lack of intelligence this afternoon. I stopped at Chencho’s this afternoon at lunch time(mind you, today is Saturday so a lot of people are out and about and wanting to have lunch) as I walk in there, there are about 3 tables of people dining in and two men(one has a little boy) in front of me. After about 5 minutes I ask if anyone is even working there. There is only one cook, who barely speaks English, standing there. He was obviously trying to avoid the front of the restaurants at all cost. So we continue to stand and wait, and wait, and wait. In the mean time people were walking in and walking right back out since they had one employee working there that wouldn’t come up and acknowledge anyone. I believe one table even left without paying. The one guy and little boy decide to leave since the wait was getting ridiculous. The other guy in front of me stated a girl had taken his order 25 minutes ago and walked out the door and left. My daughter walked in and asked the cook flat out to help us. He finally came over and took out order but stated he didn’t know how to ring me up. Finally after about 25 minutes 2 girls pull up and walk in and decide to get back to work. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out if you have 3 people working on a busy Saturday, and one who only strands in back not wanting to take orders, don’t take your frickin breaks together!!! Get it together Chencho’s! You have awesome food, don’t ruin it with poor customer service!

we had been working on the yard all morning and thought I’d pick up some lunch to go and give this place 1 more try. BIGMISTAKE! First the lady at the counter spoke nearly no English, I know it’s a Mexican resturant, but how do you work the counter and take orders if you speak little to no English? I wound up pointing to items on the menu, which were in English. ’ 2 chicken tacos, 1 pork tostada, 1 pork burrito. 2 small beans and rice. After appx.5/7 mins. of staring at the register, she rang up my order. I paid and She then attempted to repeat my order, then said ’ 2 Carne asada, 1 Carne asada, I stopped her and told no, pork, not steak. Never get a Carne asada(steak taco), meat is always tiny fragments of burnt beef. I paid for my order which was repeated by myself 3 times and 1 attempt by counter person. I then went 2 doors down to goody’s to pick up an order of fries for one of the kids helping me with the yard work. I came back 10 mins later and the same person working the counter, apparently doesn’t recognize me from 10 mins. ago, now attempts to ask me what I would like to order??? I told her I was just here 10 mins ago and was just waiting on my order. There was 1 person working the grill and this poor guys was really humping to get out the orders which was great but unfortunately he was also sweating profusely like someone waiting to hear a verdict read in court, with sweat dripping of his face. Thankfully I couldn’t see where the sweat was landing. Twice the counter lady attempted to hand me 2 other orders belonging to someone else but the cook stopped her. Finally 30 mins. after I ordered I get my food to go and counter lady tells me it’s $ 24.85. I show her the receipt she gave me when I ordered and paid for the food 30 mins. before and she has this deer in the headlights look so someone else comes over and tells her in Spanish, ’ he already paid.’ I leave with my food silently vowing to myself to never ever return. I get home and we open our food and guess what??? No chicken tacos, no pork tostada no pork buritto and 1 order of beans and rice. Every items was burnt Carne asada. I thought about returning, but if the above mentioned nightmare taught me anything, it was what Joe Pesci said in lethal weapon 2. They Fu!# you in the drive through!,(ok this technically wasn’t the drive through, but you can’t unwrap each item to check before you go). So all in all I will never eat here again. And hope the counter lady learns english and the cook gets a bandana or turns up the air in the grill area. I’m sure I was overcharged, but since I’ll never dine here again, I wrote it off. I would highly recommend you driving to 159th and Harlem and going to El Famous burrito instead. It’s cleaner and the food is much better. Also, I have paid cash both times I’ve been here. I saw someone pay with a credit card and thought to myself, ’ this is a nightmare waiting to happen’.

Not the best Mexican food but considering that it’s located in the Southwest suburbs it’s above average for the area. The food is authentic. For some reason when you want everything on your taco they melt cheese on it, first time I’ve seen that before. Tacos are pretty small and a bit overpriced for what they give you. You’re better off getting a burrito for a few extra bucks, but even that is smaller than average. Make sure to ask for corn tortillas on your tacos, they have given me flour before without asking. Also, try to avoid ordering over the phone. I’ve asked for plain tacos over the phone but whenever I pick them up they always end up putting everything on them.

Sorry Chenchos, I used to love ya but your service and food has gone wayyy down hill! You used to be a close second to Burrito Jalisco, now i’ll just drive the extra 10 minutes into Orland when I want Mexican. The tables are all always dirty, the service takes forever and the last two times my food was cold. WHATHAPPENEDHERE?

Delicioso!!! Just got the camrones rancheros dinner. It was very good! When I saw it came with white rice with vegetables I was a little disappointed… until I tried it! It was super good and flavorful! Overall, great portions and very nice people. Every time I go there it’s always good and I’m always full

I have been here before but this time I made sure to Unilocal about it. I came in to order take out and I ordered 3 steak tacos with Mexican rice and beans with a large horchata. I came at a busy time with many tables being served, as well as two gentlemen in front of me in line. It took about 12 minutes for my food to be ready but it was worth the wait. The steak in my tacos was good just right and they put just the right amount of cheese. Although it usually comes with Mexican rice, they ran out of the orange rice so I substituted with white rice instead. It was still very good mixed in with green beans and carrots. The whole meal is very authentic and not too expensive so I’ll mostly likely come back for more.
